  • "A great cozy lodge."

Would stay again. I’m not a lover of leather settees just a personal preference but everything else great nice and clean. Bed comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen etc. love the Haybarn. Ate there every night. Good choice and well put together. Some good offers also. Nice not to worry about taking two nervous dogs who bark at every movement.

taps had limescale and black around . toilet was left dirty with poo stuck to side walls hairs and scum on bath rubber mat underneath side.the end of kitchen worktop was peeling off not good needs a little attention. I think we left it cleaner than when we went in.

The views from the decking were amazing. The only fault I had was that the floor wasn’t very clean when we arrived, but after I ran the hoover round it was perfect. The beds were so comfortable memory foam mattresses and the pillows were devine on all the beds not just the double one. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery. Kitchen cloths, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs and a tea towel were also provided. There was also a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. It was a pleasurable stay at Lavender cottage, we will be back most definitely

  • "I used to camp at Limefitt when I was a child with my parents and have been many times."

Now I have my own family we decided to return and I couldn’t have been more happy with how the site had been improved and cared for. It is in a great location and is very quiet. The views from the site are very nice. We walked up the hill at the back of the site (from the pub) and had a lovely view of lake Windermere and surrounding areas. The lodge was lovely. Very spacious, the decor and furnishings are very modern and looked new. No issues at all whilst we stayed and would book again. I am being very picky but there was dust under the beds and on some of the living area sides. Nothing major at all as I wiped it easily enough. Due to the time of year and the weather we had, it would’ve been good to have a place to put our walking shoes and coats as they got wet and muddy. But that is to prevent dirt in the lodge more than anything. But as I said before I would 100% book again as the lodge was comfy, warm and had home comforts. I brought my dog and felt he was included in our time away as we walked him round the site and used the dog field. Dogs are allowed in the pub too which is great. I would recommend the site and Lavender Lodge. I hope to return later this year as had such a brilliant 4 nights. Thank you to the owners of the lodge and the site for the time we had there.

Thank you for your kind feedback. We are pleased to hear that you had a lovely week at Lavender. We will pass on your comments to our Housekeeping team to ensure that our high standards continue to be met. We hope to welcome you back. Property Owner

I cannot think of of any negatives for the lodge as the outdoor space with the garden furniture was also very handy when we got a bit of sunshine. So full marks for Lavender lodge.
