• "Lovely lodge, as described."

  Really spacious and everything you needed was in the lodge endless utensils, cutlery and tableware which was great and meant you could use the built in dishwasher often. It had outdoor seating and games inside the lodge which came in handy! The hot tub was also great. The beds were really comfortable, the only bad points would be that the shower in the main bedroom en suite seemed to stay cold and not get warm, there was also a smell of gas within the living area but other than these minor points everything was great! It was situated in a perfect spot within distance to all tourist attractions, the site had a small shop which was useful and ideal when you had forgotten something. The dog field was great you can take your dog and let them off the lead comfortably. There is also a lovely little park on the site and a field where you can go and let your children play with football goals. There is also a laundrette on site where you can wash and dry your clothing. The haybarn inn pub is situated on site also which has a Poole table, dartboard and other facilities inside however the only issue with this is that it closes a few days a week so plan when you want to go. I would definitely recommend

• "Absolutely lovely property."

  Could not find any faults at all. So clean. Everything you need in the property. Decorated to highest standard. Beds so comfortable and loved the sofas and carpet. Hot tub was so relaxing. Beautiful view. Actually the only fault I could find was the shower in the en suite did not get very hot but nothing major. Had a lovely stay with my husband and family for our daughter's 21st. Would definitely return. Thank you so much.

• "I messaged you on my return ."

  And had no reply from you. The lodge was great. Problem with window not closing, which was not a problem. Lack of hot water situation was a problem. Bath and shower water only Luke warm. This was reported numerous time. And you promised to send someone out. Which I understand was done after we left.

  Hello. So sorry about the miscommunication. I did try to contact you via the portal and also a text message, but I didn’t see a response. I do apologise I only received the email from Sykes on the Wednesday late afternoon and arranged for someone to come and look at it the following morning. Unfortunately they let me down and I didn’t realise they hadn’t been. With regard to the window, if it’s the one in the small twin, it’s a safety opening as I’m worried of young children climbing out with the hot tub being there. I appreciate it is difficult to open and close without the instructions (I need to get more printed). I do hope this didn’t spoil your enjoyment at the lodge and in the Lake District too much. • "This lodge has everything you could ask for and more!"

  From the moment we walked in we knew this was the perfect place to unwind and relax and we certainly did that. The lodge felt very spacious, loved the open plan living space, the kitchen were modern and had everything we needed, especially loved the nespresso machine which added that extra special touch. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds are super comfy which was great as my husband has arthritis. There was only 3 of us staying but should have been 5 but it felt like there would have still been plenty of space not to feel on top of each other. It was nice to have the option of an en-suite for the master bedroom and the shower was super powerful which was a real treat. Outside on the decking was lovely with flowers in pots, giving it a homely feel. We only used the hot tub twice as the weather was torrential one day, but it was amazing and so relaxing. Our two dogs were so well catered for, the facilities on site were perfect, the dog field was great to let them off the lead and we enjoyed taking them with us for a meal in the local pub. The dogs loved the box in the lodge with the tennis balls in. We will definitely be boking again but next time for 7 nights as 4 wasn't long enough!

  30pm wednesday electric went off till 2.30 am 13 hours one broken torch one torch not charged ,might want to think about this .Other than that couldn't fault lodge or site had a great time thank you

• "We have just returned from what can only be described as the great outdoors holiday."

  Limefitt Park is situated in a place where views are incredible. The lodge had everything even more kitted out than my house. If you like walks then this place is for you as there is a walk directly out the back of the site pub to troutbeck Tongue. Overall this was a 5 star stay for us & we would most definitely return.

• "Thank you for a very enjoyable stay, the lodge was homely and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep in the beds."

  I found the lodge to be clean and well equipped with added extras we haven’t had on previous breaks away. The lodge setting is beautiful, a great park for exploring and spending time outside and is the location is good as the few places we visited we all within a 10/20 minute drive. The pub serves nice food and is reasonably price plus has nice outside areas to dine outside and enjoy the views.

• "The lodge was absolutely fantastic, in all honesty the photos don’t do it justice."

  It was so much bigger and more spacious then we expected. The decking being fully gated made a world of difference to us having the dog. The hot tub was divine. Everything was beautiful and so clean! We would stay again in a heartbeat

• "The double bed badly needs a new mattress."

  There's a dip both sides where people have been laying and a large hump in the middle. It's probably the most uncomfortable mattress I've slept on. Hot tub needs some TLC, lots of jets are missing and two of them just popped off while we were there too.

The owners have read your feedback and would like to confirm the mattress and the bed are less than 12 months old but they will check the mattress, thank you for bringing it to our attention. • "We had a lovely stay in this stunning lodge."

  It was in a beautiful spot only 10 minutes drive to either windermere or Ambleside. It was spotlessly clean with every utensil needed. The beds were very comfortable as we're the sofas. Even though there were 6 of us as well as our little dog it never seamed overcrowded, & the hot tub was the icing on tht cake. We'll definitely recomend it to anyone and everyone !

• "Well where do I begin, the lodge was absolutely perfect in every way."

  Lovely welcome with a complimentary Bottle of Prosecco and delicious fudge. Brilliant location as you don’t get many people walking past and was lovely and peaceful. Everywhere was so clean and well cared for we felt instantly at home and we did for the whole week. So much storage for all your clothes and cases ect and had everything you need for cooking, the grater and can opener needs replacing as both were rubbish but other that that it had everything you need to cook and so many nice glasses and cutlery. Great choice of games and dvds to keep everyone entertained. Hot tub was fab and thoroughly enjoyed using it with great views. Bedrooms all spacious and beds very comfortable and nice to have the option of en-suite or not with the 2 separate doors. Shower in the ensuite was really powerful to. We really can’t wait to return very soon thank you.

• "Beautiful lodge, would definitely recommend and the hottub was an added bonus!"

  ! One of the bathrooms had been updated from the photos we seen I think adding these photos would be beneficial, the only downside neither bathroom door locked. Great location ten minutes from Windermere and the owner had left leaflets for nearby adentures and board games on site. Limefitt park has a nice little walk for anyone who has a dog and a small gated field to let your dog run free.

  The lodge is perfect for what we needed and it was very clean. So cosy and a really nice break away. Hot tub had been moved around the side which was more private, I don’t think you could see as much of the lovely views but as I say, more private. A really lovely place to stay.

  It was spotless when we arrived. We were initially nervous with C19 and having stayed at other parks nearby in previous years where the lodges have been filthy on arrival. This one however, was absolutely spotless, thank you. This has to be the best lodge we've stayed at. It had everything we needed and was very homely and comfortable.

• "Family of 5, had a short break here ,mon-fri, in order to walk the surrounding area."

  The lodge was immaculate and immediately felt like a home from home. We loved the welcome gift. We brought our own doormats but there was a boot scraper,mats and great storage for all our muddy boots. All the rooms were cosy and comfortable and we loved the hot tub ,just what we needed after a hike up Scafell! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need and was great for us making all our meals and packed lunches. Having a full size dishwasher was useful too. We also loved having two full size bathrooms and the bath was bliss to ease the aching muscles. Having access to the leisure centre was great too for the gym bunnies amongst us. The holiday binder was really helpful ,not only for information about the lodge and park but local walks too. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.   Only downfall for me is hot tub needs to be more private and ironically wasnt hot enough. Only set at 38 no option to turn higher or if there was i couldnt find it. Noting your comment about the hot tub, we are sorry to hear it was not quite hot enough. Hot tubs are generally set between 38 and 40 degrees with 38 seemingly the most comfortable to enter into. Having said that it is personal comfort and had you contacted us at the time we would have adjusted the temperature for you - up to the maximum 40 degrees. • "The location of the Lodge was lovely and the Lodge itself was on par with others we have stayed in."

  There are a couple of things I would like to comment on though. The Lounge and kitchen area while beautifully furnished was too full making it feel crowded when everyone was in the room. We had no instructions on how to operate the TV and how to access NOW TV which would have been really helpful, the remote control had obviously been chewed up by a dog at some point and could have done with being replaced. We were unfortunate to have some rainy weather which meant we spent sometime in the lodge, unlike other lodges and cottages we have stayed in the were no games and few DVDs. The DVDs there were didnt work on the machine and at least 3 were missing. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Getting away from it all What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? We didn't get out much because of the weather but a trip on the lake is always pleasant

  The lodge was in immaculate condition, ticked all the boxes for us. It has all the comforts yet we didn't overawed to the extent that we had to "watch our steps" as such. Great for a family which made it homely in our case. We were about to cook dinner when we realised that we hadn't brought cooking oil with us. This was when my sister commented that she would not be surprised if there was some in the cupboard. This was the case indeed. All in all a great lodge with more than is needed. What did you enjoy most about your stay? It had everything What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? You have to do the walking. My Wife and I suffer from MS but we were able to get about comfortably (hiking poles and mobility scooter).
