"Excellent location and well appointed."
Might be worth mentioning for future guests that there are no toilet facilities on living floor level. This could be problematic for elderly guests having to continually negotiate stairs. Otherwise, we thorough enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We take all comments on board. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"4 ladies from Norway had a lovely stay, the house and all its facilities were exceptional, everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were, the lovely bathrooms, and even the nice big fluffy towels."
to say that the property exceeded our expectations would be an understatement !! :) It might be an idea for the owners to leave a small welcome pack,, milk etc especially for visitors from overseas,, but this was not a problem.

"Beautiful property and very Central."
Loved we all had luxurious bedrooms with en-suites kitchen and dining area was very well equipped and comfortable. Sitting room was very comfortable and well decorated Found property very clean. We all enjoyed our stay and appreciated the parking passes

"The windows are seriously ageing, and there are potential safety hazards."
When I unlocked the window of the restaurant, the window above fell directly. Out of instinctive reaction, I tried to pick it up with my hands, but it was too heavy to stop it. Fortunately, I only cut my finger, and they didn't have a fracture. Everything else is very good. We all like this house.

"The stay was great and the property was well-maintained."
Love the location which is convenient to everywhere. Although there is a restaurant/bar just right across the street, noise level was acceptable and didn't affect our rest
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us at prospect house. We are pleased to hear that the noise levels did not disturb your stay and any issues you encountered were resolved quickly. We hope to welcome you again. The owner relations team - Lakelovers Property Owner

"Lovely,well-equipped house in a great location."
Ideal for a week away with all the family

"Prospect House is in a great location and is tastefully decorated to a high standard."
Kitchen well equipped, bedrooms and bathrooms good size and beds comfy, particularly liked underfloor heating in bathrooms! Easy to access property and get around, good bonus having car park passes. Would recommend and definitely come back. Only issue we had was we couldn't get heating to work in basement TV lounge, not much of a problem as we just used main living room instead.

"Well equipped and comfy house."
Great location and exactly how described. We had a great stay. The house was perfect for busy days out followed by comfy evenings eating food and watching movies. Only comment is there was a damp smell in the basement but it lessened after putting on the underfloor heating for a bit.

"Lovely property in a fabulous location, plenty of room for the 6 off us."
Lots of lovely places to visit close to public transport.

"The property was perfect for our stay."
It was well equipped and tastefully decorated . The bathrooms were fabulous and the rooms were great for eating and socialising together. The only things that could have been improved were the WIFI which was weak on occasion and to have eg a very large WOK that could hold enough food for the whole group.

"Great house in a great location - we all had lots of space and all had a bathroom!"
All the rooms were beautifully finished and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were warm, the heated floors were lovely in the morning. We would definitely recommend this house for a larger group - there were 7 of us and it was just perfect.

"Was very happy with the property, it more than lived up to expectations."
HOWEVER, we did not expect that after being told we could not have an early check in, to then find that on arrival at 4pm to have to empty a dishwasher that was still hot ! In the email I received for leaving the property it did stipulate to put dishwasher on the final night before leaving ? As a note for the owner, the bedding, mattresses and pillows were below par for the price point of the holiday and the duvets were not big enough for the beds….this needs addressing as does the fact that the WIFI is only accessible from the kitchen (completely unacceptable)…there were also no hooks to hang wet towels on in the bathrooms. For people wanting to eat in, they need more pans and kitchen utensils
Thank you for your feedback further to your stay with us. The wifi in the property does have boosters on every floor, and we suspect now that previous guests had made changes with these, but had we known during your stay that this wasn't working properly for you we would have been happy to investigate. We usually have feedback about how comfortable the beds are, and that the kitchen is very well equipped, so this will be looked at after your comments. The dishwasher was left on and only run just before your arrival to ensure that you were aware that all of the crockery, cutlery and utensils had be sanitised to an appropriate level for your arrival because of COVID. For wet towels in the bathroom, towel rails are provided instead of hooks. Lakelovers and the owner of the property take on your feedback, and again, thank you for this. We will hope to welcome you again in future. Property Owner

"My family, including a 3 and 0."
5 year old, stayed at Prospect House in September 2021 with some friends. Overall the house is finished to a very high standard and in a great central location, literally a 2 minute walk from bars, cafes and shops. Arrival and departure is a little tricky as there is no in site parking but you can park on the street next to the house. The Broad Street car park is an 8 minute pleasant walk (assuming it's dry) through the town. As other people have mentioned the door is a little sticky so do take care when locking it. The kitchen was pristine on arrival and is well equipped. There's even a waste disposal unit which is great when you have a weaning baby. Bedrooms are spacious and all have great bath / shower rooms. The lounge is cosy, especially with the fire on. The TV is smart which again was good for keeping a 3 year old occupied while getting ready to leave the house. WiFi only works in the kitchen, the network isn't even visible in the lounge which confused us for a bit. Not mentioned in the description currently but there is a high chair and travel cot in the house. After a few days the house did seem to get quite dusty and our kids got allergy sniffles. Also, given the central location there is a degree of street noise at night. Fine for adults and our 3 year old didn't mind it but our 0.5 year old did get disturbed a few times. Aside from these small gripes we had a great stay and would highly recommend Prospect House for town based stay in The Lakes.
Thank you for your lovely feedback further to your stay with us at Prospect House, the owner of the property and ourselves were really pleased to read that you enjoyed your holiday here with us. We hope to welcome you again to stay with us in the future. Property Owner

"Accommodation was very good."
A couple of minor gripes…the front door is a bit of a pain. Really hard work shutting it. Also, in top bedroom when you open the skylight rain water gathers and comes in…there is a design floor there. And the downstairs TV room feels dusty…not sure why but maybe carpets need replacing. WiFi is also a bit patchy in the house. However, overall we were very pleased with the house. It was very good quality and very clean. The fixtures and fittings were great and little things like the parking passes made a big difference. Thank you…we will be back!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Prospect House."
Lakelovers provided and excellent service on the two occasions we called them. Upon arrival, we discovered that the waste disposal unit was blocked and, after a quick call, two guys arrived and sorted out the blockage. Just another call linked to a loose toilet seat and this was quickly repaired. The facilities were superb and we had everything we needed throughout the accommodation to make for a fantastic stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and served us well for the few times we cooked and the laundry room was a great addition for when those rain soaked clothes needed a quick blast in the dryer! Windermere was on hand with some great bars, places to eat, supermarkets and a fab butchers (try the ribs and red hot ‘growler’ pie!) Bowerness was just a short walk away for more activities and we made a couple of trips further afield. Prospect House was a super base for all of our trips - so much so that we only needed the car on one occasion; otherwise it stayed in the car park! We’d definitely recommend Lakelovers and Prospect House!

"Very under-equipt kitchen."
General cleanliness not great. Wasn’t made clear just how loud the noice from the road and pub opposite was. We left 3 days early as the house was just not enjoyable at all.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback after your recent stay at Prospect House. We apologise that you found certain aspects less than satisfactory. You were the first set of Lakelovers guests to stay in Prospect House after recent renovations and just joining the Lakelovers portfolio. Since receiving your feedback, the owner has looked at the inventory for the kitchen and has purchased some larger cooking pots to cater for larger groups eating together. We have flagged the cleaning issues up with our Housekeeping team. For this we can only apologise and ensure further attention is made on these areas. With the property location this is not something we can change but rather highlight this in the description. The property is advertised as being centrally located and most pubs and restaurants are usually finished by 11pm though in Windermere however we are sorry that the noise during your stay was past this. The property is a high spec townhouse property and although it may not have been fitting for your baby, we hope that perhaps in different circumstances you may enjoy it more so. We otherwise thank you for your feedback and hope to welcome you back to the Lakes in the future. Property Owner
