"Brilliant stay in a very nice cottage could not fault anything are stay was excellent"
-
"On arrival we found dirty pans and glasses."
Had to put it through the Dishwasher. A few more cooking dishes would have been good. Beds were very comfy, although needs bigger Duvets for the beds. Very homely.

"Lovely, comfortable house which was beautifully decorated."
Feel an extractor fan is needed when cooking in the kitchen as food smells linger. The listing said a short stroll into Bowness but there are no paths or lights along the roads and its more than a stroll. Only 4 buses a day on that road. It was nice to have some outside space but this could be better kept and enhanced with comfier seating.
Hi Shaun, Thanks for your feedback. We're pleased you enjoyed the house and your stay. The reason we didn't include an extractor fan in the kitchen design was that to include one would have meant sacrificing a cupboard and as the kitchen is only small, we didn't want to do that. Thanks, The Owners Property Owner

"Excellent property with a very high standard of fixtures and fittings."
A credit to the owners who have done a brilliant job renovating and modernising this lovely holiday home. Fab heating system with lounge underfloor heating a wonderful addition. Lake visitors for years and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Shame that next door was in the middle of major interior building changes and rain everyday meant we had to stay in more than normal however the noise wasn't too bad. Cleaning was ok but dust and bits under the sofas was not welcome. Sofas definitely need a good vacuuming. Only negative comments would be difficulty with the boot warmer cupboard lock and the front door needs adjusting to stop the drafts in the hall. All in all a great break and would have no hesitation in booking this 5☆ cottage again.
Thank you for your very kind feedback. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay the Neon Rose. We will pass on your comments regarding the dust under the sofa to ensure that our high standards continue to be met. We look forward to welcoming you back again. Property Owner

"The Neon Rose is a real credit to the owners and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there."
Everything was immaculate and everything about the 'cottage' had been considered and well thought through to make a holiday as comfortable as possible. Without a doubt it is one of the very best holiday 'cottages' that we've stayed in and would certainly give many boutique hotels a run for their money! The fixtures and fittings are of high quality, the beds are extremely comfortable, the decor very attractive and the location is good for accessing all areas of the Lakes. Booking through Lakelovers was easy and efficient. Thank you very much to all concerned for making our break so memorable. We will definitely book to stay here again!

We will look forward to welcoming you again. See you again soon and thanks again, Karen and Martin (Owners, The Neon Rose) Property Owner

"Lovely property very impressed with cleanliness, had everything we needed for our short stay, have recommended to friends who also stay in the lakes frequently."
Only negative no welcome pack or bottle of wine etc most other cottages we book usually have a welcome gift. But lovely property and would happily book again for a short break.

"This was a beautiful property in a quiet residential area."
Neon Rose Cottage feels brand new inside with fresh carpets, remodelled bathrooms etc - really well equipped and nice and modern. The property had everything you would need for a short stay - the only problem we had was not being able to find the wheelie bins! We would definitely go back or recommend to others.

"This place is truly magnificent."
If we lived nearer we’d certainly be back. Beautiful and comfortable and fully equipped. So well done to the owners who did their utmost and turned out a stunning place. There were however small niggles and they are all directed at Sykes Cottages. Travelling up on 27 December 2021 we tried to make contact by phone with the management, but other than texting back, no one phones back. The promised mobile number was never received. A comfort call to reassure us was not received. This is a major point actually when it comes to holding hands and reassurance. The resulting six hours travelling up was not an experience we’d like to repeat. BTW please leave some washing up liquid on site as well as kitchen paper. Those are cheap additions which can make a big difference.
Many thanks for your kind words in relation to The Neon Rose. You were our first guests so it is nice to know that our efforts put into the property were appreciated. I'm not going to comment on the points you make re. Lakelovers. I'll leave that to them but again, I thank you for your appreciation of The Neon Rose, the Owners. Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had difficulty contacting the customer service team however you did make contact on the 26th to our out of hours team and we replied to your query via text with instructions. We hope to see you again in the near future. Kind regards Lakelovers Property Owner
