  • "Lovely holiday let, clearly thought, time, and effort has been put in to make Seahaven a pleasurable home from home."

A couple of maintenance needs that cropped up during our stay which could be quick fixes: - the first floor master double metal bed frame creaks with any slight move...slightly off putting for light sleepers! Needs tightenening or repositioning slightly - the toilet flush in the master bedroom ensuite sticks regularly when flushed. We had to take the cistern top off regularly to manually stop the flushing - the back gate lock does not keep the back gate shut when windy and it flys open with speed, force and real noise! We kept it shut and locked when in, but did worry about it crashing loudly when we were out, as it would be bothering neighbours and potentially come off it's hinges There was no welcome items on arrival other than some packet teas, coffees, salt and sugar etc. We have obviously been spoilt at recent other stays where a basket of local small items have been left for us to enjoy such as local biscuits, fresh milk, local jams - even a chilled bottle of prosecco ln arrival. A lovely touch which then made us support local and purchase from the local suppliers from the basket. (shop and support local) - No Netflix or YouTube on the upstairs TV only terrestrial channels Nothing can be done that Seahaven is nestled between sea facing and village facing terraces, so it certainly has no room with a view. But the close proximity to the park and the sea is hard to beat, despite not being able to actually see them! It also feels extremely private and not overlooked Lastly, then frustration I had trying to extend our stay by one night had put a negative feel to our stay even before we got there. It was frustrating that I had requested an extra night extension to our holiday but the booking system on Sykes Holiday meant this just did not happen. I didn't get a call back to 'extend', instead I was asked to pay an additional charge to 'amend' - all I wanted to do was add an extra night where I could see there was availability but this proved impossible to do. We won't be using Sykes again, so to the owners of the property, we would have liked another day stay at your property, but unfortunately the automated system of Sykes booking meant this wasn't to be! To the owners, thanks for making Seahaven warm, accommodating and an enjoyable stay for all the family.

  • "Absolutely delightful little cottage with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay by the sea which is practically on the door step."

The only thing I feel could make it better would be blinds in the top bedroom and another lamp in the lounge area though the lack of these would not deter me from going again.

Thank you for your feedback and so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are in the process of fitting blinds in the top bedroom now so thank you for pointing that out and hope to have you back soon. Property Owner
