"We had a lovely week at Heather's Cottage."
Alison went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The house sleeps eight, but there was plenty of space for day visitors. Everything was of the highest standard.
Dalston has some lovely walks, and it is within easy reach if Carlisle, Caldbeck and the Lake District.
I would highly recommend this delightful house.

"Absolutely beautiful cottage and fantastic host!"
This cottage was Modern, cosy and plenty room, fully equipped! Everything you need! Even bubble bath for the gorgeous roll top bath! Each room was beautiful with towels and supplies, kitchen full equipped! Smart tv with all the apps! Beautiful view and perfect for little ones to play. We attended with 4 small children.
Also BEDS! We all commented on how comfortable they were!
Little touches made this the best stay! Thanks again.

"Excellent property."
We had a lovely stay. All rooms are finished to a very high standard. The location is perfect. The grounds are lovely and secure. The owner was on hand to answer the only question we had.

"I would highly recommend visiting Heathers Cottage."
The kitchen was well equipped, i liked the finishing touches such as the fruit bowl and flowers. I also liked how spacious the property was.

"Everything about the property was great!"
Lots and lots of space and finished to a very high spec. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and was ideal for cooking and chatting. Big fridge and freezer which matters when you are self catering.
The outside space is lovely too, and would be wonderful to sit out in warmer months.
The owners were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We regularly try to get away as a family group and this is one of the best properties that we have stayed in.

"We stopped here as two families and had such an amazing time."
The accommodation is perfect, with so many well thought of features. The location was great too and we enjoyed a walk into the village.
The prosecco and cookies also went down a treat thank you!
Our only slightly negative was that it was quite warm despite us turning the heating down. But this didn't really alter our experience at all. Would definitely recommend and rebook, thanks!

"This cottage was amazing."
Very clean and modern. In an ideal place . Took family for my husband's birthday and our grandson loved it. He had horses in the field a donkey and a couple of sheep which he loved to see every day. Pub just a walk over the bridge with good food. Owners just on the end of the phone if you needed anything . Lovely gesture with fruit, bubbly and biscuits awaiting us. Would highly recommend this property.

"Wow , what an amazing property!"
We have stayed in lots of self catering accommodation across the country & Heather Cottage is one of the best! The house is absolutely stunning, spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped & finished to a very high standard.
The owners have thought of every detail & the welcome pack & all the personal touches were lovely & much appreciated.
We were lucky with the weather when we stayed & were able to fully open all the sliding doors while we were enjoying sitting outside. The completely enclosed garden was ideal for our grandchildren to safely play in.
We look forward to coming back to Heather’s cottage when we are next in the area.
We would recommend this house to everyone!

"We had a lovely stay at Heather Cottage."
It was warm, cozy, and easy to find, with great amenities nearby.
Our only minor comment would be regarding the flies. We understand there isn't much the property owner can do to mitigate the issue, but having a fly swatter in the cottage would help.
Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

"Our stay was amazing."
The hosts has not accommodated a house for renting, they have accommodated a house as for their own. All the small details added to the functionality of the house totally differentiate it on the market. Super clean, white snow towels, great location, amiability and helpfulness from the host at high standard. All I can say thank you for giving us the opportunity to step in your world. Amazing.

"It was a fantastic holiday home with all facilities and comfort."
We stayed there for a couple of nights with my family and friends, which was remarkable. There was enough indoor and outdoor space for children, and they liked it a lot.

"Great stay for a group!"

"Beautiful house, had a lovely few days."
The house is so clean and spacious, everything is of a high standard. So fantastic to have such comfy outdoor seating/table. Pub just over the bridge serves great food. We will highly recommend the house to family/friends and will definitely look to come back.

"Fantastic place to stay for our family weekend away."
The property has been renovated to a really high standard throughout and the grounds are very well maintained. It has everything you need while staying there and is easy to get to off the M6. Would highly recommend!!

"We have been there from 19 July to 22nd, we had lovely time with my family, if any body like country side visit it is nice and quiet beautiful garden, and all near from there only one thing we disappoint because as advertised car charge available, when we there car charging point wasn’t working because we had 2 EV."
We have to go out side of cottage, make sure has to be working for other people, rest of very good.

The village of Dalston sits within the Carlisle district of Cumbria, historically part of Cumberland. In the village square lies the red sandstone church of St Michael's, dating back to the 13th century, whilst Dalston Hall is a magnificent Grade II listed building full of character and landscape gardens, which is often used as a wedding venue. About two miles south of Dalston is Rose Castle, the palace of the Bishops of Carlisle, which is not open to the public but may be viewed from the road. Carlisle can be reached in four and half miles, a 2000-year-old city with two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one World Heritage Site, plus lots of pedestrianised shopping areas, award-winning malls, colourful farmer’s markets as well as a traditional Victorian indoor market.
