"Lovely little gem of a place."
Exactly how it is in the photos, lovingly restored, loved the decor, very classy, had lovely personal touches with the dried flowers, loved the mix with the old stone and old wooden tables and chairs.
Very pretty setting, I'm sure it's amazing in the summer time.
Bedroom gorgeous, best pillows I've ever had and superb bedding. Lovely little basket left with fresh bread ,coffee, preserve & biccys.
We came from york and called at gretna green on route which was fascinating and well worth a visit, had an evening meal at Skitby which was lovely, following morning found the hidden river cafe for breakfast which is in a lovely setting. Then went to visit relatives in Hawick, where we had not been for over 20 years.
We had a fab time in a fab setting

"Property was great, quite, comfy, cosy & had everything we needed."
We will definitely be back. It's fantastic to see what the young couple are doing on the site, preserving something for future generations to enjoy. Well done to them both.! ♥️

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay and consider the value for money to be truly incredible."
The location was completely unique and every detail had been thought through. Even things like the history of the house (written really well) had been provided in the binder. Everything was pristinely clean and organised and conveniently located. In terms of aesthetics I felt it was completely appropriate and beautifully appointed and I grew up in an historic house with parents who were big geeks about such things. Getting period detail right and allowing the historic features of the place to ring out while also providing discreet modern comforts (beautifully warm for instance) is so unusual and this place nailed it. No complaints at all and will be recommending to anyone interested exploring that part of the country.

"An absolute gem of a find."
Kirklinton is set in beautiful grounds which you can roam around in freely, the ruins of the old buildings are enchanting you feel like you're in your own fairytale. Our accommodation the Pavillion was welcoming and had everything we needed for our very comfortable stay. Our host Jess was lovely she made us feel very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to book again maybe in a few years when the renovations of the old hall are underway.
Kirklinton is centrally located for Carlisle and lots of lovely villages with lots of history.

Jess and George were very welcoming hosts. Kirklinton was a perfect base for visiting Hadrian’s wall and the lakes so we were able to see lots of interesting places.
We would highly recommend Kirklinton Hall for a relaxing holiday.

"The Pavilion at Kirklinton Hall and Gardens is a beautiful property in very grand surroundings which are gradually being restored to their former glory."
It’s a good base too if you wish to explore Hadrian’s Wall and even the Lakes are within easy reach. I had pretty terrible weather but was so pleased to have warm, comfortable and characterful accommodation to relax in when plans were disrupted. Highly recommended.

"We enjoyed our stay at the Pavillion."
The property is equipped with top class equipment, nothing spared. We were welcomed by the host and shown to the Pavillion.
All information regarding the property is included in the information pack.
We had to leave earlier than we intended but this had nothing to do with the accommodation.

"Perfect in every way."
Fabulous apartment, the attention to detail in regard to making it homely, such nice touches, the throws, dried flowers, decent crockery and the welcome pack. None of which detracting from the beauty and splendour of the building and its setting.

"Most of the building may be a ruin but certainly not the holiday accommodation."
It was home from home, there was everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The conversions are an excellent standard, The bed complete with pillows and quilt were of a very high standard giving me a better nights sleep than what I get at home.
We will certainly make a return visit.

"Just an amazing property, lovingly created from the ruins of Kirklinton Hall."
Luxurious, cozy and welcoming, we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. The snow outside and the log fire inside certainly helped. It is amazing project that has been taken on here and if the Pavillion is anything to go by then the rest will be truly amazing. Keep going with the vision and thank you for a truly amazing stay.

"The property was charming and most comfortable."
The grounds were beautifully maintained and although it was autumn we did enjoy walking along the footpaths. There was building works in progress but this was done sympathetically and was not an inconvenience to us. The only slight complaint was that there was no signal for the tv or mobile phone.
Hi Maggie
Thank you for your feedback. We hope you and your daughter enjoyed your stay, it was lovely to meet you both. Unfortunately the poor telephone and TV signal is the consequence of our rural and idyllic location and is outside our control. This is why we have invested in high quality satellite broadband which enables WiFi phone calls and also allows excellent streaming services for our Smart TVs.
