"The beds, sofa and chairs were very uncomfortable."
The double bed did not have a mattress protector on it nor did the sheet fit the mattress. The duvet was too thin and the bedding was very outdated. This is not a place to relax. We actually left a day early as we needed a good nights sleep and we were not going to get it staying there.

"A lovely spacious lodge with everything you need for a relaxing break."
The site was so peaceful and quiet, and we could even see the tops of some fells on clear days, and views of Scotland in the other direction. We will absolutely stay again.

"The Lodge was a bit dirty inside and looking very tired, with some of the kitchen cabinets starting to come apart."
The kitchen appliances sufficed but were by no means top brands as per the listing. No baking trays, remotes with no batteries, very uncomfortable beds with inadequate tog quilts, broken recliners, lots of flies (and spiders). Nice location for travelling though and as long as you dont intend spending too much time in the lodge/van, will be enjoyable. The Greyhound Inn down the road serves decent food and is good value for the money.

"Lovely location, cosy homely Lodge."
Not perfect as some areas are dated and worn but it definitely wouldn't put me off going back. Nothing for kids to do and no ball games allowed at all anywhere but that aside, a very lovely weekend away

"We have addressed the issues with Sykes using your online service but have had no response."
