  • "We were extremely happy with the property, and with the communication from the owner, which was comprehensive, speedy and helpful."

The beds and sofas are comfy, the kitchen was well equipped, the cottage was easy to keep warm, and the neighbour was friendly when we bumped into him. We liked that there were two fridges which helped with a larger group staying. There were three bathrooms which was really useful, and the shower cubicle in one of the family bathrooms had a fantastic shower. There is literally only one tiny thing that could have improved our stay, which is to have larger towels - the ones provided are bath towels, whilst we prefer bath sheets which wrap around more easily. We would definitely come back.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Clifford House Farm."

The house is beautiful and had everything we needed for a very special holiday. Spacious rooms, cosy decor and a fabulous family-sized kitchen. The complimentary logs for the fire was a lovely bonus!! Sainsbury's had a lot of trouble finding us on the Saturday so worth going with another supermarket. An authentic Dales cottage with a great local pub and lots of scenic walks straight out of the village. We'll be back!

Rachel hi We are so pleased you had a good time. Do come again soon you would be most welcome. Philip Property Owner

About the location

BUCKDEN

Kettlewell 5 miles; Hawes 12 miles.

Nestling at the foot of Buckden Pike, near the head of Upper Wharfedale, this idyllic village makes the perfect place from which to explore the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. Much of Upper Wharfedale is National Trust owned – an indication of the beauty of its classic countryside, with dry-stone walls and barns, important flower-rich hay meadows and valleyside woodland. Undoubtedly, this is one of the best walking areas in the Dales with The Dales Way passing nearby. The village itself comprises a cluster of stone-built cottages and houses with a traditional green at its centre. A perfect location for a holiday!
