• "We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful house for my friend’s hen do!"

  There were 12 of us, and the space was absolutely perfect—plenty of room for everyone, and everything we could possibly need was provided. Liz, the host, has truly thought of everything. The house is finished to an incredibly high standard, and every little detail has been considered to make guests feel comfortable and at home. Liz herself is a fantastic host—friendly, attentive, and always on hand if needed. From start to finish, the whole experience was seamless. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate, and we would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a special getaway. Thank you, Liz, for making our weekend so perfect!

• "We visited Cuthbert Hill Farm for my mums 70th Birthday and the stay exceeded our expectations!"

  The house is really beautiful, the location and views are breathtaking and Liz the property owner was delightful and very friendly and helpful. We will most definitely be back to visit, sooner rather than later hopefully! We were a party of 9 with 2 dogs. The hot tub and games room were brilliant and well used during our stay. I cannot recommend this stay highly enough! The kitchen is so well stocked there is every utensil, pot, pan, dish, baking tray, cutlery, mugs & glasses you could wish for! The icing on the cake are the beds... WOW... so comfortable. Thank you Liz and we will hopefully see you again soon, Cuthbert Hill Farm is a credit to you 10/10 x

  Very well equipped. Liz was really helpful and welcoming. The jacuzzi was a great extra and we all loved it. We're spent a lot of time in the games room which has more games than we could do justice to. The dart board was very popular. The best cottage we've been in.

• "This was a beautiful property and had lots of amenities for the family."

  The games room was a great hit and the kitchen was very well supplied with plenty of pans cutlery crockery etc. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The views were exceptional and the hot tub a bonus. There was also plenty of toilet rolls supplied. I know this is an unusual thing to mention but usually when we have rented somewhere we always have to take extra with us but this time there were several in each bathroom. The owner was very friendly and welcoming as well. I would definitely recommend this property for a great family get together

  Storm Eowyn caused a few problems but we had the benefit of a lovely wood burning stove to keep us warm. Liz, the owner was really good and so helpful and pleasant. Definitely a place for a large family gathering.

• "My friends and I stayed here over the weekend to celebrate Christmas and we had such a wonderful time."

• "Amazing house in a beautiful location."

  12 of us stayed for a long weekend and all had a great time. Plenty of space in all the communal spaces despite there being so many of us, bedrooms were all very comfortable, plus the games room and hot tub were nice extras that we all got plenty of use out of. The host was very attentive during our stay and made sure we had everything that we needed throughout. No negatives, would recommend for anyone.

• "We were given a warm welcome from Liz with general information about the cottage."

  The cottage was very comfortable and well stocked with kitchenware , games etc. The jacuzzi was well maintained and in a sheltered spot with covered roof. Lovely countryside views from the cottage. A great family stay. It was easy to walk to Chipping village with its pubs and cafes.

• "Excellent place."

  Good location with lovely views, outdoor spaces and well maintained gardens. Great decor. Very well equipped. Only 10 mins walk into Chipping. Enjoyed the Sun inn and Brabins tea room. Some of the bedrooms are bit small -struggled for somewhere to put our suitcase. Perhaps could take some of the furniture out -like chest of drawers that you don’t need for short stay?

• "The house was perfect for us."

  We loved the location, the views and especially the hot tub! The kitchen was very well equipped allowing us to cook up some great feasts. The teenagers loved the games room!   Plenty of space, the games room and jacuzzi were well used by all. Beautiful views over open countryside. The decor is lovely and the rooms are all beautifully appointed. • "Cuthbert Hill really is amazing!"

  Travelling with children aged 12 - 19, we wanted a hot tub and games room to keep them occupied, they certainly were never bored. Huge bean bags were a big hit, as was the variety of games. The weather wasn't brilliant, but it did not dampen our spirits. Kitchen is well equipped, we managed a roast dinner for 11 on Easter Sunday, and the beany hats for in the hot tub were a hit. Tastefully decorated, and fab finishing touches. Liz, the owner,is very friendly, happy to advise ,but not intrusive. Would love to return.

• "What an amazing home this was."

  The bedrooms are all spacious and the decor has a boutique feel to them. The living areas such as the kitchen, dining room, lounge and the huge games room had everything you could think of. An amazing set up and as a family our pre-Christmas getaway was perfect from start to finish. Our host Liz greeted us on arrival and pre-arrival Liz kept us updated and reached out for any special requirements relating to the room. Special things to mention, each living space had a Christmas tree, which we thought was a nice touch & the welcome tub of celebration chocolates went down a treat. We will definitely look to come back in the warmer months.

• "A family of 11 of us stayed here for a birthday."

  The communication before we arrived from the owner Liz was very attentive, she checked how we wanted the bedrooms set up and even agreed to secretly put up some birthday decorations and balloons around the house and hot tub. On our journey there she contacted me to make sure we could find the property ok and when we arrived she was waiting to welcome us and to show us how to use the hot tub and log burner. The property itself is exceptional. All of the fittings and fixtures are high end and you can tell the house has been looked after to a high standard. The games room was a real central point for us, especially the 3 teenagers who loved the games and being able to play YouTube music videos on the smart tv. The bedrooms have exceptional views over the countryside and the beds are lovely. The best feature of the property is the hot tub. It’s set against a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills and fields, perfect for relaxing and getting away from every day stress. We asked Liz about some local walks and she told us about some good trails to walk on which we did go on and had a great time. Liz was also happy to help us arrange a birthday meal at the local village pub “tillotsons arms” which she personally recommended and the food was absolutely excellent, we had a great time down there. Everything has been thought of in this house and with the excellent attention to detail and warm customer services from Liz, you can’t go wrong here and you won’t regret booking it for your stay. I only wish we could have stayed for longer

• "Wow, what a place!"

  The location, the views and the property itself are just amazing and this made for a perfect weekend for our party of 6 adults, 6 teenagers and 2 dogs. The house is like a home from home, finished to a very high standard and has an excellent layout, as we used every area throughout the course of our stay. The games room and hot tub were an added bonus and enjoyed by both young and old. The host Liz, was really helpful and it was clear that a lot of care and attention has been put in to this property and making an enjoyable stay for guests. We will definitely be making a return visit.

  The property is stunning and every little thought has been given to ensuring you have a relaxing break, from the well stocked kitchen to the packed games room with entertainment for all ages. We were a mixed group of 12 with kids/teens/young adults ranging from 2 to 20 and the fact they were never bored speaks volumes. The house is in a great location with a gentle stroll into the nearby village which has local farm shop and a couple of pubs serving food. There are also plenty of activities to do round and about including some great walks from the property. It was also great on a clear day to watch the paragliders going off the nearby hills. Nothing to fault with this property and we all agreed its one of the best we have stayed in. Liz cannot do enough for you and is always on hand if there are any problems and was the perfect host.

• "We had the best stay at Cuthbert Hill Farm this weekend with the girls."

  The property itself was beautiful, you can see it has been a labour of love to restore for the benefit of others to enjoy! It was clean and modern with the traditional farmhouse feel. The property had a well equipped kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. There were plenty of electronics and games in the games room to keep us entertained and enhance our stay. The outdoor space was equally well equipped with plenty of outside furniture, wood burner, hot tub, bbq and car park which was big enough for our 7 cars and room for a couple more. Liz was lovely, very welcoming and accommodating, she was easily accessible if we needed anything and provided us with logs for the fire and showed us how to work the heating etc. nothing was too much trouble. The views were superb, even better than expected from the pictures! The hot tub was fresh and clean with the most amazing panoramic views from the top of the hill, it really was something special. The locals were friendly and kind with one of them even ringing me to check where we were and convoying with our takeaway delivery driver to the property as he was lost. The village is beautiful with a variety of pubs and cafe’s. We hired a mini bus to Clitheroe. We went to the castle, had afternoon tea at Tom’s Table and drinks at Holmes Mill - Bowland brewery. We ordered Chinese takeaway from Happy Valley in the evening, all highly recommended. I can’t recommend this place enough, we will definitely be returning soon! Can’t wait!   the family just wanted to get away from the world for a few days and switch off - the location, the views from the garden, the weather and the host, allowed for a very chilled out 4 day stay. The hot tub was a wonderful addition to the holiday and was in use every day. We hardly used the large dining room as the garden has sufficient seating for all our family to have all their meals outside. There is a wonderful BBQ/Patio heater, which we did use in the late evenings and that provided a beautiful atmosphere, towards the end of the day. overall, we found the cottage a wonderful experience which we are already planning to repeat. The host was simply awesome, we did have a small issue with the fridge and that was replaced with a brand new one the next day. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage comes with a games room, which is packed with traditional board games and exceptionally large comfortable tallboys.

• "The house is amazing."

  Located on a working farm, the views are stunning and the house has everything you could ever need. There is a village a short 20 minute walk away which is cute and the people are lovely. The owner of the property, Liz, was really helpful if we needed her and would come to clean the jacuzzi each day ready for us to get back in. I’ve already recommended the house to friends and family and we will be returning.

  We had a much-needed break and there was plenty to entertain the kids (and the grown-ups!) at the house. Fantastic views - and really peaceful. Only a short walk into the village where there’s some great pubs and cafes. Liz has clearly put a lot of effort into making it a wonderful place to stay- it’s simply perfect.

  Stayed here in June 2022 for a family celebration. Liz is a wonderful host. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend. The games room was a huge hit with the kids and the views from the hot tub were absolutely amazing. The circular walk around Chipping was lovely and Sunday lunch at Tilly’s was fantastic. Huge portions! We will definitely be back!

  ! had all the facilities we needed, the beds were super comfy, the giant beanbags were insane and the hot tub was great - despite the strong winds. the owner was very friendly and helpful, responded very quick to any questions we had and had no issues with us decorating the house for our celebrations. The only negative was that part of the house where 1 bathroom and the kitchen were had no hot water at all - we were okay for showering as we used the other bathrooms however we really struggled with the washing up being there was 12 of us and the radiator in the kitchen area wasn’t plumbed in so it got quite cold even with the fire on. But apart from that, the house was a great booking! Liz was a lovely owner, the games room had everything we could ask for and the views were amazing so Thank you so much!! Xx

  The house is beautiful with plenty of space and amazing views. We were a party of 12 we all had a bedroom, there was enough space to all sit together in the various rooms. More than enough glasses, plates etc for our dinner party. There is a lovely little walk from the garden into chipping to the pub. Liz couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a great stay. Thank you! X

• "Such a beautiful property with such a versatile space for groups of all ages."

  Although we were unlucky with the weather, Liz was very accommodating, showing us around and supplying us with hats to wear in the hot tub due to the wind. Staying in doors was not a problem with plenty of space to spread out throughout the day and comfortable rooms to all sit together for dinner and to socialise as a group.
