"A clean, comfortable cottage ideally located for walks from the door."
-
"Lovely holiday accommodation in a pleasant village."
Everything you needed was in the property, only downside the duvet was far too thin which resulted in loss of sleep due to been cold. Also I don’t mind stripping the beds before departure it’s the norm these days, but found all the stains on the pillows (no pillow protectors) quite off putting if I’d seen this before my stay I wouldn’t have used them. Shame about this issue as the property was very clean on arrival!
-
"The property was spotless on arrival."
There was lots of space for the two of us. Sofa and bed were really comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, and especially the slow cooker! Great location too. Lovely walks from the door and a short stroll into the village. Would 100% recommend.
-
"A great position for getting to many different areas, the greenhouse was comfortable and plenty of room."
-
"All the comforts of home, absolutely loved staying at the Greenhouse for the week, wished it was longer."
Thank you.
-
"Thank you for a lovely stay."
The only constructive feedback I have would be to suggest a little more detail in direction to the property once you get close. We doubled-back a couple of times once we were on the right road.
-
"Beautiful property, only problem I had was with my one year old wanting the tv that is placed on a coffee table so perfect grabbing and rocking height."
The property is very well presented, gorgeous views and lovely and warm. We absolutely loved our stay and my two children were very settled through our stay.
-
"Property is a little gem."
Set in a lovely village, great places to eat. Lovely walks & right by a canal. Would highly recommend. Fabulous stay.
-
"Lovely, warm cottage."
Great location, near amenities, a wonderful canal walk, and Skipton.
Thank you Property Owner

"Our 2nd stay at this wonderful property."
Very clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Again we did some fabulous walks for the house or just a short drive. Masons Arms is a great pub with great food and cracking atmosphere also the Bollywood Cottage is a great Indian. Our weeks stay flew by but not to fear we’ll be back next and would recommend to anyone.
Thank you, I am glad you had a good stay. Property Owner

Thank you Property Owner
-
"Nice,modern and clean property."
Well sited for local visitor sites and facilities. You will need to take your own towels and provisions. The owners are accommodating and helpful.
Thank you for your feedback, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Towels are provided and we would have happily bought some round had we known they were missing. Property Owner

"Perfect location and lovely place to stay."
Everything was as described. Thank you!
-
"Lovely property in a lovely location, 10 min walk into the village, nice canal towpaths to walk down, can even walk into Skipton from here."
Property is ideal for us, a couple, nice size, furnished very tastefully. Very well equipped for a holiday cottage, very comfortable. Parking at the front of the property, which can be awkward reversing onto the road. The only issue, and this is minor, is it is difficult to find as it’s hidden behind a high hedge, once you know where it is, your fine, could do with a bigger sign etc.
-
"A beautifully clean and comfortable accommodation with everything you could need for a fantastic stay, such a shame we only had 3 nights booked."
Gargrave is a lovely village and the canal walks are very peaceful and relaxing, we would definitely like to stay again for longer.
-
"Lovely base to explore the surrounding area."
Tastefully decorated and thoughtfully resourced. Loved it.
-
"We had a lovely stay at The Greenhouse."
Thank you for welcoming us into your home. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer.
-
"We were visiting from Finland, to attend a family funeral and i could not have found any better place to stay."
A delightful cottage, set i a wonderful village with 2 local pubs serving amazing food, local shop with friendly staff and great produce. The cottage is a stone throw from my home town Skipton, which makes commuting easy. The cottage was so cosy, clean, well equipped with a gorgeous kitchen and had breath taking views. The Landlady was amazing and helped us with anything we needed. Me and my husband with be returning very often to the cottage. Highly recommend.

"Just returned from a fabulous week."
The Greenhouse is a fabulous property, very well appointed in a great location with stunning views ideal for walking, cycling, pubs, restaurants and train station. Nicola the host was very helpful and kept us top up with logs and informative about the local area and places to go. One of the nicest places we have stayed and would return tomorrow.
-
"A great place to stay as a cycling base for a couple."
-
"A potentially excellent property in a brilliant location for walking with the local buses as a bonus."
(For silver surfers). Having stayed in dozens of self-catering cottages we were surprised that there was no folder for appliance instructions. There were some brief instructions for using the TV but we failed to master its use consistently. Details of finding the property would be improved by adding a final line: after number 46 (Eshton Road). We took it for granted (as we have always found it to be the case) is that we would unpack luggage into bedroom furniture. The cottage was advertised as sleeping three, but the only wardrobe was in the second bedroom and there were no drawers in either room. Using the second bedroom as a dressing room did mean that we could unpack our clothes; so we were fine but it wouldn't have been the case had there been three guests. This made me wonder how much guidance Sykes gives property owners, do you supply a list of what you expect to be present in your lettings? Publishing is up to you!

"Lovely cottage, nice to have a good sized smart TV, also good grassed and gravel area at the back to sit in."
Good location and chose it because it had good parking. Almost perfect just missed a few things normally have in cottages we have stayed in. Will definitely stay again.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a lovely village."
One small point would be: The owners are having some building work done behind the cottage which has made the entrance area rutted, which can take you by surprise!
-
"Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of England."
Owners really helpful and friendly. We will be back.
-
"Really nice!"
!! Good location
-
"Excellent location and accommodation really enjoyed our short break"
Thank you Property Owner
-
"The greenhouses is a lovely place to stay and very clean with all of the comforts of home, the only problem was you had no control of the heating and it went off pretty early the log burner is a lovely feature but not good for asthmatic’s."
We left 2 days early because of this.
-
"This holiday was excellent."
Spacious and well appointed accommodation, good location and helpful owners. Would highly recommend. Very annoyed with Sykes about October Cottage feedback being totally ignored as it contained some negative but not abusive comments. If anything negative has a block applied the feedback system is pointless.

"Great accommodation in a perfect location"
-
"Very nice cottage, well situated for so many things."
Very comfortable, and although spacious, it was at the same time very cosy. Hosts were very attentive without being obtrusive. It lived up to the standards we have learned to expect from Sykes Cottages.
-
"A neat, well designed, comfortable living space with a small private outdoor area."
Convenient location, less than 5 minutes walk from the canal towpath, 10 minutes from small supermarket, excellent Indian restaurant and chippie.
-
"The digs were excellent the immediate area was great but the through traffic in the village was very busy."
The bonus was the canal. Easy access to Skipton.
-
"Wonderful place to stay in beautiful Gargrave."
Property was even better than we'd hoped for and perfect for a family of three. Everything we needed and good communication from Nicola. Couldn't recommend it highly enough
-
"Excellent accommodation and friendly owners."
Well equipped kitchen and ideal property for two. Bright, airy and comfortable throughout. Downside was poor Internet (not mentioned in property description). Like many people we rely on online services for the likes of OS Maps and it was painfully slow to download anything. If we’d have known beforehand we could have downloaded at home.
-
"Lovely property with everything you need for a great holiday."
Very convenient base to branch out in all directions . Definitely recommend if your into walking as you will be spoilt for choice.
-

-
"We loved this well designed and comfortable holiday home."
Its location closed to the Leeds to Liverpool Canal gave easy access to tow path walks with stunning scenery.
-
"The accomodation was excellent and ideal for a week away in the Yorksire Dales, we had our 2 year old son with us and the layout was great with open plan kitchen and living area."
Will hopefully visit again in future!

"Lovely stay, great location, lush place!"
-
"A lovely little property."
Clean and comfortable. Views from front bedroom are lovely. Nice private little back garden. Equipped with everything you need in the kitchen 5 mins walk from Leeds& Liverpool canal-great walls in both directions. 10 minute walk from Gargrave village, great Zinfandel restaurant and great fish & chip shop. Highly recommend this property
-
"Very nice property, great location."
lovely owners who should you need anything are very helpful
-
"Wonderful place to stay."
-
"We had a lovely stay at this property."
We would definitely recommend it & we may even return our selves. We were very pleased with the Sykes communication. We only booked this property the day before our check in date. We provisionally booked for 4 nights we then extended it to 6 nights the day before departure & they kept the price the same. Thank you for a great little break.
-
"We really enjoyed our week at The Greenhouse, so warm, cozy, comfortable."
.. really relaxing, loved the log burner especially with the weather this week in February, will definitely come back to stay here, lots of stunning walks, scenery, really friendly pubs serving great food, can’t fault it, 10 out of 10

-

-
"Lovely property in a beautiful location"
-
"Excellent accommodation, in a great location."
Very clean and well equipped.
-
"This cottage was perfect for us, the sofa bed in the spare room meant we had plenty of room for our 18mo boy's cot."
We were pleasantly surprised to find fresh coffee and a cafetiere rather than instant coffee. There was lots to see and do in the local area so never needed to travel far each day.
-
"Very friendly service ,had thought of lots of little extras that I have not uncounted before providing maps and walls of the area."
This is one of the best accommodation i have stayed in
-
"The cottage is in a very central location for those who are looking for a walking holiday but also for just relaxing and having a quiet break ."
The canal is very close and you can enjoy a gentle walk in a lovely setting . The weather was not good but we were still able to fill the days and enjoy returning to The Greenhouse and lighting the log burner for a cosy end to the day . A lovely well equipped cottage .
-
"Enjoyed staying in Greenhouse very much, lovely location, peaceful, shop not far away easy walk to co-op, in village centre."
-
"We were in need of a quiet break away from work and the usual, and that is exactly what it was."
It was such a lovely place and had all we needed. The house was comfortable and very clean also. The host was so lovely as she came to introduce herself and check to make sure we were okay. The weather wasn't that great, and it was quite cold but she came to make sure we had enough fire and if we needed to turn the heating or make any adjustments, she was available - thank you We'd definitely recommend this place and also love to come back in the future
-
"Stunning little holiday let in a wonderful location."
-
"The accommodation is new, stylish and very comfortable and very quiet, it has good parking, a short walk into the village and easy access to all the wonderful Western Dales."
The owners are a very welcoming and helpful couple. A great place to stay and use as a base.
-
"The Greenhouse is a perfect holiday retreat, a “home from home” it has everything you need for a very comfortable stay."
The property is decorated to a very high standard, it is spotless, we cannot fault a thing. Nicola and Kevin the owners were very helpful and recommended some excellent local walks. There is so much to do in West Yorks, an ideal location for walking in the dales and near to Skipton and Harrogate too. We loved it so much we have booked to come back in September 2019!
-
