"This is a great apartment in a quiet location with great walks and plenty of things to do."
Two good pubs very close by but the highlight of our stay was watching salmon leaping at Stainforth Foss.
-
"What an amazing apartment it is truly a lovely place in an idyllic setting."
The owner is very on hand and very helpful. I would recommend this place 100%

"A great cottage for 2 in a very good position, the turn in with our large car was a bit tricky."
The renovation to the older style property had been done sympathetically but with modern conveniences and it has a lovely tiny outdoor sitting/ dining area.
-
"Excellent for location and the accommodation is above the norm and most stylishly furnished."
The heating was somewhat problematic and it was rather chilly. The owner was always helpful in trying to resolve the timing of the heating. The wood burner was extremely useful, not cheap on wood supplies, and certainly added to the ambience as well as being necessary. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the local Black Horse provided excellent food, The Talbot pub in the centre of Settle had excellent big band style jazz on a Tuesday evening...excellent traditional pub grub...no frills, no fuss simply enjoyable. The owner of Pendle View, Leanne, was delightful and helpful. Recommend make the time to visit The Chapel of Giggleswick School...outstanding architecture and decoration.
Dear Colin, Thank you so much for your review and feedback, we have tweaked the heating settings so it should be significantly improved and the log burner only required for the ambience. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. With best wishes Lianne Property Owner

"Very well equipped cottage in good location and would recommend it as a great place to stay Dog walk in the morning and evening with cottage being very near to footpath by the river Hit a very cold spell for end of April and needed a bit longer for the central heating to be on."
Helpful owner who fixed the TV when we struggled with instructions!
Dear Dave, We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and we have since tweaked the heating settings so everything is always toasty. With best wishes Lianne Property Owner

"Very comfortable apartment with a 'country house' feel."
We had a car-free holiday here - arrived by train, did some really lovely walks from the property and also used the bus to reach the start/finish of others. Lots of little cafes and pubs in Settle and Giggleswick. The Folly museum and cafe is also worth a visit. Very relaxing short break here.
Thank you Caroline, It was lovely to have you stay. With best wishes Lianne Property Owner

The bedroom and lounge are stunning spacious rooms to live in. Well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom round off the inside space. Good parking space and lovely secluded outside area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. We would highly recommend and definitely want to return.

"A very nice apartment ideal for 2 but can cope with an extra as long as not for too long."
We stayed all week and enjoyed the space and position the apartment offers. Our son joined us for 2 nights which the apartment coped with fine but I would not recommend it as a 3 or 4 generally but this worked ok...

Short walk into the centre of Settle with great selection of restaurants and bars. We took our dog who embraced the log burner. Well equipped kitchen for appliances and crockery. Would definitely recommend.

"We had a lovely week in the area."
Accommodation was generally ok, the bed was comfy, the bathroom and shower are good and sky tv was a bonus. The kitchen oven and hob probably need replacing as do some of the pots and pans. Noise early morning and late afternoon/evening from the apartment above.
Dear Andy, Thank you for staying with us, apologies if there was a little extra noise above, it was an unusual family gathering. Thank you also for your feedback, just to make you aware the kitchen has now been fully renovated to a high spec, including all new appliances. With best wishes Lianne Property Owner

"A very comfortable property, spacious and well equipped."
The location is excellent with good walking routes close by.

"The flat is in the most amazing location which is not evident when you arrive but it is on the edge of Giggleswick village which is behind it and charming."
Amazing walks from the door in so many directions. The pub is brilliant - the food all homemade and delicious. The flat is very stylish. The sunset over the church is beautiful. Great views from the front of the flat, which is to the rear of the building and away from the main road (quiet one). The only negatives were: there were 4 of us for 2 nights, there were only 2 chairs for use with the table but we used the window seat and a stool from the bedroom. I am sure they would have provided more had we needed them. The table is mostly taken up with a large coffee machine which would be better in the kitchen. The sofa bed is tiny, the owner did tell me that it was usually assumed that children would use it. I didn't measure it but probably only just 4 foot wide. It was reasonably comfortable. We were fine in it as neither of us is above 5ft 7 and slender. The dishwasher is excessively noisy and could only be put on when we were out. The washing machine v quiet.
Thank your feedback and we’re so glad you had a good stay. I’m really sorry the dishwasher was noisy, when we investigated after your stay it was actually malfunctioning so a new one has been installed. With best wishes Lianne Property Owner
