• "What a wonderful property!"

  We rented the house as a festive break for friends. We couldn't fault it. The sitting room is ideal for chatting, watching TV and playing games. There is a fantastic dining room table which seats all the guests and the kitchen area is huge and amazing. All the bedrooms felt luxurious and the house was decorated beautifully with a lovely Christmas tree and garlands. The hot tub was a great feature too, all guests were provided with a fluffy white dressing gown. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. We are already planning to go back.

• "We stayed Fri-Mon and it was an exceptional weekend."

  Facilities were outstanding and we didn't want for anything. We asked for more fire wood and it was delivered immediately. There were only sheep for neighbors, very peaceful. Would definitely stay there again.

• "Just got back from a weekend away at Dallicar House celebrating my mums 60th with family."

  Everyone commented on how well maintained and modern the house was. It had everything we needed and the open plan layout of the house really leant to a large group. We were in walking distance to the local pub, The Craven Arms, which was perfect for one of our evening meals. We’d planned a walk around Malham Cove which was only a 20 minute drive away. Great location! The only small thing I would say, is maybe to add another hot tub, so that larger groups can enjoy the beautiful set up outside together. Thank you for our lovely, memorable stay. We will be recommending the house to friends and family, and hope to be back in the future!

  Plenty of room for a group of friends or family, with spacious bedrooms, lounge, a dining area to seat everyone with a well equipment kitchen to cater for our needs.   Gorgeous open kitchen diner where we could all sit and play games and then outside gorgeous seating area and of course the hot tub and stunning views. It really was perfect!   Couldn't fault a thing. Absolutely spotless. Welcome treat was a lovely surprise, wine nibbles & tapas fare. Fully equipped kitchen:- American style fridge freezer, double oven range cooker, plenty of cutlery, crockery, for my party. Hot water was seriously hot & instant no loss of pressure or heat even when multiple showers were in use. Bedrooms beautiful with plenty of storage. Beds & pillows wonderfully comfortable. All ensuites equipped to a high standard. Outside had ample seating by the hot tub & picnic tables. All in all an excellent property which I would love to stay in again.

• "Beautiful property."

  All the decor looked brand new, absolutely spotless. The en suite for every room was a winner. Under floor heating downstairs, pub benches and umbrellas outside for outdoor dining, plus the rattan furniture & hot tub. Hairdryers in every room, iron and ironing board weren’t listed in facilities but were there. Location was fantastic, we went to nearby Malham Cove for an afternoon out which was beautiful. The views from the house were unreal and sheep and cows right outside the windows. It was perfection, all of it. The only sad thing was the 09:30am check out time, that’s quite tricky when you’re a large group, (and we didn’t want to leave!) but we managed it. Would 100% recommend.

• "Gorgeous property and any problems were resolved quickly by yourselves but to get the overall 5star feel to the property we think the outdoor furniture cushions need refreshed and to comfortably seat 12 people outdoors was difficult, maybe some additional chairs could help with this."

  Indoors we felt the crockery and cutlery are very basic and when serving nice food you want nice dishes . All the glassware is fine but the cooking knives could be of a better standard . Overall this is a great house in a beautiful setting and we would definitely recommend and hope to revisit some time .

  House and surrounding area are absolutely stunning. The only thing I'd change is the position of the hot tub and outside seating so the sun was on it longer. Also maybe some sort of gazebo over the hot tub if weather was bad? The house is equipped with everything you could need! Beds extremely comfortable and everything lovely and clean. Will definitely be back to stay again!

• "The only suggestion I have for the host is regarding the extractor fans in the bathrooms; they appeared to be non-functional despite being switched on."

  Consequently, the bathrooms became uncomfortably stuffy and steamy, making it challenging for us to prepare one after the other. Otherwise, WOW, what an enchanting retreat Dallicar House turned-out to be! Nestled amidst picturesque countryside, it provided the ideal setting for my friend's hen party. The entire property is spacious and the kitchen was perfect for our private chef to work their culinary magic! It was an unforgettable experience! The host had thought of everything - plenty of glasses, bin bags, toilet rolls (all the things us organisers panic about in the middle of the night haha). The sight of adorable lambs frolicking outside added to the charm, and the hot tub was sheer bliss. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone and I hope I'm back one day :)

• "We hired Dallicar House for my daughter’s hen weekend for 11 people."

  There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was extremely clean, tidy and nice and warm. The facilities in the house were excellent and we all had a fantastic weekend with the added bonus of using the hot tub. We walked to the Craven Arms on the Friday evening and had a lovely meal and drinks, then on Saturday we walked into Settle for coffee and cakes. Overall we had an enjoyable weekend and would definitely recommend Dallicar House to anyone looking for a large entertaining house in a perfect setting.

The location is very rural, but also close to a lovely pub and beautiful village. Settle is only a very short distance away and also a lovely little town. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!

• "Wow, what a beautiful property!"

  We were all so happy with our stay and the property and area are lovely. The property catered really well for a group of people with enough space and room for all. Very clean and tidy on arrival and we were lucky to have pretty decent weather after a bad forecast . We had a meal at the Craven Arms for my 50th birthday just down the road which was lovely. And the owners left us a lovely basket of goodies (thank you). Our only slight disappointment was my children were looking forward to using the Xbox but it didn't seem to work and the lounge area needs some nest of tables to put drinks on as you couldn't place your drink within arm distance whilst relaxing on the sofas. To end, a real gem of a holiday cottage with views to die for! A lovely property to celebrate a special family birthday.

• "This is a fabulous house in a remote spot, for a luxurious get together - the only neighbours being the sheep."

  The owners were very thoughtful and proactive in meeting our needs and provided a lovely unexpected welcome hamper. We loved stargazing from the hot-tub, watching the sheep and the short walk through the fields to Settle. Sadly the weather didn’t support us enjoying too much of a relax in the lovely garden chairs. However, we enjoyed a fab day out to Bolton Abbey and Billy Bobs which were also brilliant. All in all it was the perfect place for me to entertain my family on my birthday.

If we had to grumble about anything, the lounge area does not seat 12 people, there was 10 of us on this trip and it was a squeeze. We will be back next year, such a beautiful place to make memories!

  The kitchen is great for cooking for 10 people, plenty of seating and you can walk to a pub at the end of the track to the house and to Giggleswick or Settle over the fields. There is lots to do and see in the area. And the views from the house are fantastic.

  The rooms are good and the location worked very well for us. It was very peaceful and the views were amazing. Hot tub works really well!! I would say the sofas are not too comfortable for the evening and not enough for 10 people to sit around together. Some of the dishes and kitten utensils need replacing, they have been used regularly and looking very old. Regardless of the above I would still comeback, it’s a fantastic house!

  We were a party of 12 girls staying for a weekend away and all of us said how absolutely brilliant it was. To start with, it is set in beautiful countryside and all you can see is 360 degrees of lovely fields and hills. The property is absolutely stunning, and is furnished to the highest standard. The kitchen, dining room and lounge are beautiful, and the open plan style is great. The bedrooms were all perfect, and were all decorated so stylishly. We couldn't choose which bedrooms we wanted, as they were all gorgeous! The bathrooms are absolutely stunning and as one of my friends said, it was like staying in a 5-star hotel. The fact that every single bedroom had an ensuite was just fantastic for a girly weekend away! That really sold it to us! I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was a wonderful stay and we all said we'd love to go back! The best rental property I've ever stayed in!

  As a group of 10 we wanted for nothing. All of the fixtures and fittings were of a high quality. We had problems with the WiFi but electricians were send straight away to fix it. Just a nice distance from Settle to walk in for a wander and pub lunch but a pub a lot closer if you didn't want to walk that far. Definitely recommend to groups of friends or families with children. Surrounding scenery is breathtaking

• "What an amazing week we have just had!"

  My whole family were able to get together for my 60th birthday celebrations and being able to do it at Dallicar house was wonderful. We had 8 adults, 4 children and a baby and we never felt on top of one another. We knew we had found somewhere special as we rode up to the house, the pictures of the outside didn’t do it justice, it looked beautiful, full of flower boxes and the scenery is to die for, then you open the front door and wow its just as beautiful inside, the standard of the interior design is outstanding and that kitchen is a dream its packed with every bit of equipment you could possibly need. The children loved the sheep and cows and the hot tub for the adults was the cherry on the cake, it was always kept lovely and clean. The little touches like inside and outside games for the children were a lovely thought. Everyone loved it and we can’t wait to come back. We made some amazing memories. Thank you.

  The beds were so comfy (even the insomniacs slept!) and every room was beautiful. The location is stunning with lots of walks right from the doorstep. A very spacious kitchen which is a must for us as we love cooking. The outdoor seating area was lovely and the fire place was great for summer evening use. The whole house was light and spacious for 11 people not to be tripping over each other. We would absolutely stay again.

  The rural setting was simply stunning and the facilities in the house made our stay very comfortable especially with children.   Absolutely everything has been thought of by the owners. A lovely welcome basket with nibbles and prosecco was provided, dressing gowns in each bedroom which is perfect when using the hot tub. We were here celebrating our 40th birthdays and had 2 lovely ladies come to do spa treatments and a private chef to cook for us on night, the kitchen and dining area was perfect for this. We will definitely be highly recommending this property and already looking at dates we can get together to return.

  ! Everything about it is so classy and finished to the highest spec. It has to be the best one we've stayed in. We are 5 older or shall I say mature ladies and totally enjoyed the luxury as well as the stunning scenery made extra special seeing the animals everyday along with rabbits and what I think was a stoat family playing in the back field. We would definitely return her and thoroughly recommend it

• "The stay was an absolute dream."

  In fact, the photos don't do it justice, it is so much better in real life. We were really blown away with it all. Clean, spacious with a beautiful and well considered layout. We used it as a base for our wedding at the Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey. It's a 30min drive away but staying here made it worth the distance! We're already considering rebooking for our anniversary next year!

• "Fabulous barn conversion."

  We have stayed in many properties but this is our favourite. Comfy beds, powerful showers, underfloor heating - and a lovely welcome pack ! We started our week wearing shorts and at the end of the week we made a snowman. It was lovely sitting in the garden watching the new born lambs. Michael and Elaine are very friendly and helpful hosts - hope to return soon.

• "This was a lovely renovated barn house that was done to a very high spec, with lots of little nick nacks around making it feel nice and homely, we arrived to a lovely basket of essentials ( especially the Prosecco) much appreciated."

  What was really nice was it was Halloween weekend and there was pumpkins all around the kitchen and a happy halloween balloon again much appreciated. There was nine girls staying there and we all loved the spacious house and bedrooms, all with there own en suite bathrooms, again all done to a very high spec, we had one small hiccup with the hot water which was soon and efficiently sorted. We were unlucky with the weather ( lots of rain ) but it didn’t stop us enjoying the lovely outside space and hot tub and amazing all round views. Would we return? Yes in a heartbeat, hopefully we will return next year.

• "Dallicar House is the best accommodation that we have booked in ten years of reunions for a group of five couples that met at university in 1962 (hence the absolute requirement for multiple private bathrooms!"

  ) The owners very generously allowed us to transfer our aborted 2020 reservation until this year, which was much appreciated. The house is spacious, warm, comfortable, tastefully decorated, very well-equipped (though years of previous experience mean that I always bring a two-pin plug adaptor for my electric razor and toothbrush and this proved to be wise) and situated in beautiful surroundings. It was a little late in the year for us to avail of the bbq and the outdoor seating but the hot tub proved invaluable for easing the aches and pains of elderly ramblers. There are lots of great walks within very easy distance (there are helpful leaflets in the house) and we took the stunning railway journey from Settle to Carlisle and back ( a first for my wife, despite her being a Cumbrian). Drivers can tour neighbouring dales provided they are confident on single-track roads at times - well worth the effort. A short walk takes you to the Craven Arms where we enjoyed two splendid meals. The local Booths supermarket is excellent with very helpful and friendly staff. An ideal location for those who enjoy the outdoors, magnificent scenery and excellent accommodation.

• "We had a wonderful time at Dallicar House getting away from our busy lives."

  The house was clean, tidy, well equipped and just the right size for our group of ten adults, with lovely big open plan kitchen, dining and living areas and plenty of parking for our four cars. It was the perfect base for exploring the Dales and to come back to in the evening for drinks and board games. The location is ideal - just off the A65 and a very short walk from the pub but far enough away from anywhere that it felt very private and quiet. A highlight for us was all the outdoor space, with barbecue, outdoor fireplace, hot tub and flame heater. Our only gripes were very minor - the corkscrew had clearly seen better days and the chlorine in the hot tub wasn't kind to some of our swimwear. Overall, a very well looked after house that we would return to without question.

  It had a table with a fire pit in it but it was useless for drinks as they got warm with the flames and wasn’t big enough to put even a small plate around the edge of the table. We had lovely weather for some of the time there and it would have been nice to eat outside with a table to put everything on.

  !!! In an absolute idyllic location surrounded by nothing but fields and dry stone walls! It really is a 5* property with everything you could want and much more!! It is all furnished with top quality furniture and is just total luxury. The owners were great too and very responsive via text if we had any questions. Hot tub is seen to every day of your stay - there is also a hot tap to top up the hot tub if the level has dropped which I was most impressed with! There is not only a log fire place inside AND outside but there is also a gas fire pit and gas bbq! Beds are very comfy with quality bedding! Beautiful property and would love to stay again but it’s booked up for the foreseeable (which speaks for itself!). We certainly didn’t want to leave!

  We had such a fantastic stay in this spacious, clean, luxurious and homely house. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need, the beds are so comfortable, it was immaculately clean and we felt really comfortable there. Each bedroom having its own bathroom is really great so everyone has their own space. We also had a really lovely meal at the pub The Cravern Arms a short walk away which we would highly reccomend, great food and great service. We all felt very lucky to have spent the weekend there and will definitely be returning. Could not reccomend this house enough to anyone considering it.

  Well where to start. We were a party of 8 women celebrating my 50th birthday and it was just the best weekend ever. The house is absolutely stunning. The pictures do not do it justice at all. The furnishings and decor are beautiful. The house is designed to be the perfect party house. Open plan but cozy with just everything you could need.The weather was atrocious but some how made the weekend even better to be so warm with the fabulous wood burner and underfloor heating. 8 of us in the hot tub in a howling gale, snow and sleet was an experience never to be missed. Was hilarious. We went down to the Craven Arms for lunch and Lynn looked after us all so well. Food was amazing. Just wished we could have stayed longer. What a fabulous weekend. Can not recommend it enough.

  We are a group of 12 friends who all work together and we were away to celebrate a friends birthday. The house is absolutely stunning! It is decorated to such a high standard throughout. The entrance to the house is amazing, it really takes advantage of the beautiful views. The house was completely spotless, we felt like we were the first ever guests at the house. Between us we had all stayed in a few of these types of houses and we all agreed this was the highest quality one we had stayed in. Every bedroom was beautifully decorated, of a good size and all they had en suites. The beds were SO comfy. We all had plenty of towels and we all had dressing gowns which was a really nice touch, especially for the hot tub. The bathrooms were well equipped with nice soaps and the showers were amazing! Always had hot water with good water pressures! The living area was all open plan with a huge smart tv. There was plenty of seating for 12 people, including a huge long table where we ate all our meals. There was also a beautiful log fire which added to the cosy cottage feel. The kitchen was really impressive it had everything we needed in order to cook meals, there was also tea and coffee which was fab. The fridge freezer was huge and had an ice machine in. There was a huge cupboard that had every type of glass you could need, beer, Prosecco, wine and gin glasses to name a few! There was also a price list for if a glass smashed how much to leave. We all felt this was a good idea and a fair way to do it. Only one Prosecco glass was smashed

  He and all the family were very impressed and pleased with the house and it’s facilities. We got into the Hot Tub and enjoyed an open fire outside on one evening. Although we were only there for the weekend and weather was wet, the house had such a warm, cosy and luxurious feel to it that we were not disappointed at all. In fact the open aspect of the house allows you to enjoy the views of the surrounding dales which is totally private. We found the property to be perfect in every way for all nine of us and we all relaxed so much and felt very privileged.   It definately has the WOW factor and has everything you need. Although we had a few wet days we didnt let that spoil our holiday and the kids loved their stay too. The Craven Arms pub just down the road is a lovely place to eat and Settle is a lovely 20 min walk and Tuesdays is market day. Definately want to book again, and Elaine and Michael are on hand to help you with anything at all you need. Superb house and superb break highly recommend.

  Rooms were more like those in a luxury hotel with stunning ensuites, towels and robes, and smart TVs in each. Every bedroom window has stunning views and it's wonderful to sit in the hot tub surrounded by sheep and views of the countryside. The hosts were lovely and immediately responded to the questions we had. Sadly we didn't really have the weather to enjoy the outdoor area as much we'd have liked but hopefully we'll have better luck next time.
