  • "The property is far too small for four people."

It is minimally equipped for cooking (which is perhaps why there are only two chairs and no dining table?) The thin stud walls provide little privacy when couples are sharing it. The toilet I needs attention as it “runs on”. We feel it would be more appropriate to advertise it as an apartment for one couple, or perhaps one couple with a young child. Although it has an ideal location, the rents paid are not good value.

The property provides 2 separate bedrooms King and Double with a spacious lounge and kitchen area all displayed on the pictures. There is a breakfast bar and ample space for all to dine . There are 4 chairs provided of which 2 are stored and 2 displayed . The kitchen equipment is provided with 8 full settings of everything needed to dine indoors all of a high modern standard including dishwasher . In regard to thin stud walls the building is over 200 years old with soundproofing and solid walls . The modern interior is designed to create an informal living area for 4 guests to stay. I think potential guests maybe better referring to the hundreds of 5 star reviews on other booking platforms as this is not a true and accurate review. Property Owner

About the location

KIRKBY LONSDALE

Kendal 9 miles.

An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country".
