• "A nice cosy cottage , lovely comfortable bed and great shower."

  .Convenient for getting to the town centre and eating venues. Parking wasn't particularly easy especially when your luggage etc has to be carried down. We had to use number 2 car parking area which was quite expensive for the week. Overall a good week

Due to the recent fire in Kirkby Lonsdale and the closure of Main Street, this has resulted in the traffic going down Mitchelgate being diverted back to the A65.   Well maintained and spotlessly clean. Very convenient and close to all amenities, and the parking permit worked well too. Highly recommended.

  Everything we needed and more was provided at the cottage, it was spotlessly clean, warm comfy bed and our dog loved it too! We even found on Facebook a local milk service, Borders milk float to deliver our milk, bread and butter to our door for our stay for breakfast!! Great stay and host Allan was super friendly.

  Title cosy cottage that it is, cottage was ideal for 2 people I have never slept so well, Allan the host is always on hand via phone or email to answer any questions,Location is perfect a 2 minute stroll to the nearby shops and pubs, my favourite being the Kings Arms the cleanest pub I have ever visited, I would recommend Cosy cottage and Kirkby Lonsdale 100%

• "We stayed in Cosy Cott 22-29th sept 23."

  Kirkby Lonsdale is a very Characterful village with good amenities. Cosy Cottg' is aprox 3 min stroll to Kirkby's main street & 5 min stroll to Booths supermarket. We especially appreciated the high standard of cleanliness, which so many holiday homes lack. It has a high standard of quality furnishings. However, as older people with back problems, we found the seating wasn't comfortable enough for us. The yard isn't pleasant enough to sit in, but was useful for dog toileting. We tried to put the little table up but it was too cumbersome to use and we missed eating at a table. The bed was comfie & was very clean!! The bathroom & shower are lovely. The things that let it down "slightly" for us: parking was hit and miss & sometimes further than we'd like. The bathroom needs a blind for privacy. It would be more comfortable with a small foot stool & rug in the lounge. But overall we recommend this cottg' it's small but very, very nice. 10/10 for hygiene. Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay.

Just a point to note is that the space at the back of the cottage is for access to the neighbouring properties and should not be used for dog toileting.   Just right size for two people, bed really comfortable. Only point of not if over 6ft, watch your head through doors, I am 6’5” and hit mine a couple of times.

  The weather wasn't great while we were away so it was lovely to have somewhere warm and comfortable to go back to. I would recommend this cottage, the only thing we missed was a table to sit and eat

• "Comfortable little property in great location in Kirkby Lonsdale - very near to car park (permit provided), supermarket, other shops, pubs and restaurants."

  While the kitchen is very much on the small side, the lounge was comfortable and the bedroom/bathroom great! We were outside walking all day, so it didn’t matter not having a garden to use. Kirkby Lonsdale itself is a lovely old, characterful market town, very well located for the coast, the Dales, Southern Lakes as well as having great walks from the door! We would definitely return for another holiday in this property.

• "This is situated in a prime position for the village with excellent shops/pubs/coffee shops etc and has really lovely scenery."

  The property itself is immaculate and aptly named Cosy Cottage, the owner is superb in terms of communication and providing parking passes for nearby locations. All you could ever want is encompassed within this lovely property, shower is very powerful and you can see it has maximised its appeal by carefully looking at attention to detail. In terms of comfort the only comment we would make is that the king mattress could do with replacing as it was uncomfortable to sleep on. We would definitely return to cosy cottage and will recommend to friends and family.

  This truly was a 'Cosy Cottage', perfect for us (2 adults + 1 dog). The information & communication regarding the holiday was absolutely outstanding. ALL information needed was provided, with clear instructions for everything. The cottage was beautiful, clean, tidy, cosy, well equipped, so peaceful and comforting. The cottage is located in beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale, which had everything we needed & more! The only concerns I had when booking was the parking + no garden. I was not sure how that would work for us, but I thought I'd try, and I'm so glad we did. The parking was not an issue at all. There were parking permits provided by the cottage with every bit of information needed with it. There is also green area's very close to the cottage which we were informed about to give our dog toilet breaks, which worked for us absolutely fine. Overall, our holiday was amazing & most definitely made perfect by this lovely little cottage. Thank you so much Allan & Michelle for making our first visit to the lake district a memorable one.

• "The quality of the cottage far exceeded our expectation."

  Very tastefully equipped! We were a bit worried about it not having parking, but after the first couple of day trips having parking ‘anxiety’ on our return, we found it was not really a problem and always found a place in the carpark which our permit (which came with the cottage) allowed. Kirkby Lonsdale was fantastic and a great location to venture out into the Lakes or the Yorkshire Dakes.

• "Overwelling smell of food and grease oven needs cleaned kitchen tiles need cleaned bin growing fungus."

  Dog biscuit and dust under chairs cobwebs around living room dust at least 1inch behind bed stair carpet very dirty .bedroom carpet torn at door.overwellming smell of free breeze on furniture very toxic actually burning your nose.

  I am sorry your stay at our lovely cottage did not meet up to your expectations but your issues would have been resolved immediately if you had contacted us upon your arrival and inspection of the cottage. This is the first negative feedback we have had regarding the cottage and therefore we feel it requires an owner response. Unfortunately, a previous guest had smoked in the cottage, which is strictly against our rules, so we had to use an air freshener to take away the smell of the smoke. Hopefully, there will be no recurrence of this situation going forward. The carpet is not torn, but has slightly moved away from the edge trim between the bedroom and the stairs. This is being addressed now it has been brought to our attention. Additionally, the cottage is cleaned thoroughly by professional cleaners prior to the arrival of each guest and the feedback received on this occasion totally contradicts all the feedback from our previous guests, who have clearly commented on the high standard of cleanliness and comfort the cottage offers. We do take all feedback we receive very seriously and will address any issues mentioned. However, if guests do have issues that we are unaware of, the owner can be contacted and the they will be addressed immediately. Property Owner

• "Cottage well named cosy cottage, small but comfortable & kitted out all you need."

  Beautifully decorated bedroom. Bathroom spacious and decor very smart. Lounge small colourful & cosy. Acommodation very clean. Location very good, 2 or 3minute walk round the corner to shops and local pubs/restaurants & there is a supermarket 5mins walk up the road. You can't park outside the property but we found no problem parking round the corner up on the next street. We were fortunate to have lovely weather so enjoyed sitting in the Snooty Fox beer garden after a day of walking . Kirkby well situated to visit other places also.

• "The cottage was beautiful inside."

  Loads of added extras inside. The owner very good with sending me a welcome pack regarding all the facilities and parking. Parking permit is available and literally the shops are a few door down. Unfortunately I had to go home after day 2 I took poorly. Due to the current climate of Coronavirus and was told to isolate via my dr so my family stayed in the cottage. They had a fantastic time. The chocolate shop was delicious.

  The cottage certainly lived up to its name and was very cosy. We ate out every night but there was every thing you needed to cook in the well equipped kitchen.

  The facilities , information details , parking permits were excellent. A lot of thought has been put into this cottage. Additionally Kirkby Lonsdale is a superb village or small town. The eating places and coffee shops were lovely. A lovely selection of different and quality local shops. Great place to travel to the Lakes and surrounding area.

  Within yards . Very comfortable king size bed. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful bathroom. The downsides I found were the stairs. They were difficult for me as I have some mobility problems. (I am 73 years old!!) But the cottage would be perfect for a young couple!!. I appreciated the owners attention to detail. Thankyou Allan and Michelle.

• "Great location and just what we were looking for, small but with charm."

  There was everything there that we could have expected, even a spare dog lead! A really great place to base ourselves for a long weekend. Added little touches such as the Amazon Firestick were also appreciated, though as the weather was great for this time of year we didn't spend too much time watching telly. We both agreed that this is just the sort of place you'd buy if looking for a second home as a getaway retreat. The other thing that worked well for us (with the dog) was that the entrance wasn't straight on to the street. It was also nice to get a call from the owner just before we went to go through things with us, this set the scene very well for us too. All in all great, thanks

  Beautifully presented and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bath & shower were great. The only suggestion would be to have more shelving in the bathroom or dresser in the bedroom for toiletries/makeup. Communication with the owner was quick and easy for key collection. We would definitely recommend to stay at this cottage!

• "We decided to go away for a few days after a recent bereavement."

  Cosy cottage was the perfect little house, everything was provided for (and more) with the little things in the bathroom. The owner of the cottage emailed me a few days before letting us know we could have the cottage from 12pm on the Saturday which was perfect!. We made use of the walks and the little town centre which was perfect as I didn’t want to gcome very far and didn’t use the car all week. I would highly recommend this cottage as it is in perfect distance of everything (even if you don’t want to go very far) :) Thankyou for the perfect holiday.
