  • "Incredible property, we had a wonderful stay here"

Thank you for your fantastic feedback, Great to hear you had a wonderful stay Property Owner

  • "Just returned from our yearly large family gathering, 26 stayed made up of myself and 3 siblings , our children and grandchildren , aging from 2yrs to 60+, a further 6 visited through out our week for days here and there, and wow what an amazing week we all had!"

From the moment you drive up to Moorlands you are blown away with its grandeur , the grounds look stunning and are kept well, and the house it’s self has the right amount of mix between traditional styles with modern finishes , The amenities are well catered for from small children’s toys and cinema room in the main house for smaller children and air hockey , pool take and football table for the older ones,in the more modern coach house ,the video machines screen needed maintenance but this was the only thing negative to report back and a minor hic up , once the pool/ jacuzzi was spotted the children soon forgot about this and never complained . The adults had nothing but good things to say about the whole house and grounds from relaxing painting in the summer house to watching football on the big screen with a cold beer, in massaging relaxer chairs in the cinema room having a lads night in the bar next door, relaxing in the sauna and chatting in the hot tub , then coming together as a family in the large kitchen to cook amazing meals for the 26 + of us everything was there to hand, a few of us even learnt how to play the piano ! It’s been a perfect end to summer for us , we all live in different locations through out the uk so building memories is very important for us all and as a family we would love to return . Thanks you to the lovely housekeeper Susie for always been on the end of the phone if we needed you. To the team who make sure moorlands is the wonderful experience it is with their maintaince and cleaning .Also huge thank to the host for allowing this beautiful house to be enjoyed , your communication before and after with all information and requests met, made it a really easy experience. Hope to visit again one day thank you

  • "The location and facilities available are first class particularly for a group that includes adults and children of multiple ages."

The hot tub and the games room were hits with all as was the large garden where the children could roam free in safety. All the roms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Certainly highly recommended for those who want a memorable holiday in luxurious surroundings. My compliments to the owners.

  • "Wow, we were all bowled over by the beautiful setting and magnificent views the manor sits in."

Then when you enter the Manor it truly takes your breath away. Stunning is an understatement. The vast rooms are homely with beautiful furniture. The facilities were brilliant especially for the children who loved having their own arcade. I cannot thank you enough for accommodating our party of 24 at such late notice. We all had a wonderful time and made great memories.

  • "Moorlands Manor - what a fantastic property!"

We were a party of 19, family and friends celebrating my wife’s birthday. The facilities were everything they were described to be. The bedrooms and living spaces were lovely and very well presented by the housekeeping team (big shout out to Suzie). The spa and games room were a real hit. Many a late hour of pool, air hockey and table football competitions and some thoroughly relaxing spa time. Diane, the owner, was really helpful and responsive to our questions and provided a great recommendation for an independent outside caterer. Thoroughly recommend Moorlands Manor.

  • "A truly fantastic stay with real 'wow' factor!"

So much to enjoy from the very large hot tub, sauna, games room, cinema room and even a piano for the more relaxed moments. Inspired us to consider similar properties in the future, hopefully they're just as impressive.

Perfect for a multi-generational family get together, the games room, cinema and huge hot tub were a particular hit with everyone. We are already planning our return! Thank you so much for a really wonderful stay.

  • "Moorlands is a fantastic house for families and friends to get together."

There is something for everyone. The house is furnished to a very high standard. The robes provided to use to get in and out of the pool were much appreciated. The pool was amazing. It keeps its heat when in use. The gardens are large and very well maintained. Would love to stay again.

About the location

FOULRIDGE

Pendle 0.4 miles; Burnley 8 miles; Yorkshire Dales National Park 19.2 miles.

Foulridge is a small village and civil parish resting in the Pendle district of Lancashire and once part of the township of the ancient parish of Whalley. Now, the village is known for its stopping point on the Leeds and Liverpool canal, and sits within easy reach of the popular town of Skipton. Steeped in history, the village plays host to a number of attractions such as The Old Tailor's Cross, which tells two romantic tales, the first being of a Royalist tailor for Cromwell's troops, the second legend ties it to an old love story of Margaret Bunard who waited by the cross for her husband to return from the Civil War. Another notable attraction is the Foulridge Mile Tunnel, which was started in the 1780s and completed in 1796, a fantastic achievement for the time, the tunnel stands strong to this day and is popular among canoeists for being the longest canal tunnel in the UK open to canoes. Scenic car journeys will take you to more picturesque locations; heading north, you will reach the Yorkshire Dales National Park to enjoy an abundance of walking and cycling routes, and heading south, the city of Burnley offers a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés to keep you entertained.
