  • "Lovely old cottage in beautiful Lancashire countryside."

Kitchen well equipped. Main bedroom excellent but second bedroom you need to be quite agile to get in and out of bed. Lovely little front garden and sitting area but gate opens directly onto a busy road. Excellent accommodation but would not recommend for children or less agile people. A good pub is handy, The White Hart, serving good meals and draft ale. The Wellsprings is excellent for Mexican food but is a good 30 min walk along a busy road. Altogether a very good place to stay.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the beautiful Lancashire countryside and the pubs near the cottage. As it it an old stone built cottage, it is listed as unsuitable for children and people with mobility issues, as you found. We are glad that you enjoyed the character of the cottage and the well equipped kitchen. We will be happy to welcome you back. With best wishes, Liz and Nick Property Owner

  • "This house was lovely."

It was clean comfortable and had everything you needed and the WiFi was good, The weather was hit and miss but the heating worked really well. There was a book on how everything worked so you didn’t need to spend time trying to work stuff out. Contact with the owners was easy which was good also. Loved this place. Sabden is fantastic for walking the house just at the foot of Pendle hill loved walking up there on a few occasions and the summit is a must do. The village was nice to, friendly people, shops and pub so never left the village . What a great holiday will return thanks

Thank you so much. We are very happy to hear you enjoyed walks on wonderful Pendle Hill and found everything you needed in Sabden; we hope to welcome you back again to Willow Cottage. Best wishes, Liz and Nick. Property Owner

  • "Well the weather might not have been kind to us but the hospitality shown by Liz and Nick and their lovely cosy, comfortable cottage definitely made our stay enjoyable."

There are great walks from the cottage door, along with great food from the local pub and cafe. Willow Cottage has everything you need plus some wonderful authentic character. It’s a real home from home and a perfect place to explore the area of Pendle and Bowland. The scenic drive to Dunsop Bridge (recommended by Liz) was spectacular, so was the stunning view from the Atom Panopticon near Wycoller. Our dog Archie recommends Willow Cottage as a perfect place to stay and we have to agree

Thank you so much for your great feedback; we are so glad you experienced the beautiful countryside around Pendle and Bowland, and enjoyed the local pub - despite the weather! We will be delighted to welcome you and Archie back to Willow Cottage again. Property Owner

  • "Lovely little cottage, but we had trouble with the WiFi and tv didn’t work all the time."

Not very safe for elderly guest no bannister at top of stairs and extra steps from each bedroom, no downstairs toilet. No back yard for dog and front opened onto a main busy road with no pavement.

Thank you for your feedback Lynne; we are pleased that you liked the cottage and hope you enjoyed the lovely village of Sabden. We were sorry you experienced some temporary interruptions with the wifi connection which affected the tv. We have now taken steps to avoid this happening again. We are also now fitting an extra handrail outside the bedroom with a couple of steps up to it. Thank you for highlighting the issue; we want to make improvements for our guests where possible. The cottage is as advertised in terms of facilities; so as it's an old stone cottage in a conservation area, we aren't able to fit an additional downstairs toilet. We hope this wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Thank you once again for choosing Willow Cottage. With very best wishes, Liz and Nick. Property Owner
