"The photographs on the website weren’t particular accurate."
There was hardly any natural light. Even on the sunniest of days a light needed to be on, it was quite dark, even in the bedrooms. There wasn’t any views out, because there was either a bush or fencing around. Very claustrophobic. It was a comfortable apartment. You would have thought there were elephants staying up stairs, not very well sound proofed. It was pointless having a dishwasher, with four people staying at the property there were only four mugs, and only three teaspoons we had to wash them up every time. For the first time ever (not mentioned on line) we had to pay for Wi-Fi. Normally included in the price. Although the property was comfortable we have had better places we have stayed in with Sykes. Slightly disappointed.

"Apartment was warm and comfortable and was a good base to visit the area."
Just a couple of issues to be aware of. There is no soundproofing between the upstairs and downstairs apartments and it was very noisy and could do with providing a few more mugs/cups.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are glad to hear you found the apartment to be warm, comfortable and well-situated. We have taken your comments regarding soundproofing and lack of kitchen amenities onboard, and these have comments been passed onto our Accommodation Team to review. We hope to welcome you back at some point in the future. Property Owner

About the location
LONG PRESTON
Settle 4 miles; Malham 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles.
Long Preston is an attractive Yorkshire Dales village in Ribblesdale, twelve miles from Skipton (popularly known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'), four miles from Settle. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales; to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley which, in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland. The village benefits from several large, tree lined, village greens, with footpaths leading direct to the surrounding hills, and it also boasts two excellent pubs with first rate cuisine. The railway station on the edge of the village provides access to the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town with a weekly market, the centre being dominated by the Shambles, an historic 3-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool.
