"Property was a good quality conversion, - plenty of space, well heated and great beds/linen."
But the kitchen equipment was abysmal - Loads of more or less empty cupboards. Few plates but lots of bowls, minimal cutlery. few mugs, totally impractical glasses that looked like they were scavenged from a charity shop. and hardly anything to cook with (spoons/saucepans etc). You could live on bought in pizza but not much else. Also - not even the basic welcome pack you normally get in self catering - salt pepper/ dishwasher tablets/cloth. not even a tea bag. But the staff were helpful and even managed to find us 2 or 3 more glasses.

"Very dissapointed to be charged an extra £24 for a basic travel cot and highchair for our daughter."
First time we've ever been charged for this. Steep when you consider it's £387 a night already. Apart from that, all good.

This self-catering apartment, Malham, is set amongst many acres of countryside in Tosside near Long Preston, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, by Bowland Fell Park.
This cottage is a first-floor apartment within a barn conversion and boasts easy access to a wealth of walking and cycling trails, making it ideal for a holiday for six in this beautiful part of the Dales.
This cottage boasts many of the features of the original barn which compliment the stylish fixtures and fittings in the open-plan living space.

Long Preston is an attractive Yorkshire Dales village in Ribblesdale, twelve miles from Skipton (popularly known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'), four miles from Settle. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales; to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley which, in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland. The village benefits from several large, tree lined, village greens, with footpaths leading direct to the surrounding hills, and it also boasts two excellent pubs with first rate cuisine. The railway station on the edge of the village provides access to the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town with a weekly market, the centre being dominated by the Shambles, an historic 3-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall.
