  • "The pod was absolutely fantastic, lovely and cozy with all the amenities we needed for a self catering stay."

Loads of lovely finishing touches like the heron cushions and seasonal decorations + the owner dropping sweets round for the kids on Halloween. Hot tub was pristine. The location was fantastic at the foot of Whernside so perfect for the 3 peaks. Excellent pub food just a 10 minute walk on a safe track. We’d highly recommend and will return!

Thank you for your fantastic feedback, pleased you liked your pod and it's amenities. It would be great to have you stay again. Property Owner

  • "Brilliant holiday."

Cleanest property we’ve stopped in. Really was a place to unwind. Loved the location with the history of the Ribblehead viaduct. I will definitely be coming back for longer next time. Next time I’ll bring a torch coming back from the pub using my phone as a torch was a little hard. Big thanks to Diane and Ian we never saw them but they catered for everything well done.

Thank you very much Paul for your fantastic feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay in Heron You did well just using your phone torch when walking back from the pub! It would be great if you where to return again soon. Property Owner

Absolutely perfect for our young family and plenty of walks on the doorstep and a lovely pub 10 minutes away.

  • "The Heron was absolutely spotless and had everything in it that you could need."

The hot tub and log burner were great. The only minor thing I would suggest is that I would have 4 outside chairs on the decking bit outside the front door as there was 4 of us staying it. There is the added picnic table but this is not great if it is raining. As I say this is only a minor suggestion. I would absolutely stay again

Thank you for your fantastic feedback. Glad you enjoyed Heron and its facilities. Thank you for your suggestion i will certainly bear this in mind. It would be lovely to have you back soon Property Owner

  • "My Name is Shezad."

I stayed at Heron in Yorkshire Dale's in August 2024. This place was amazing the views from my pod are stunning if I could I would have spent all three days of my stay at the pod just watching the view, but I was with the kids so made them do activities and enjoy the nature. The Pod is a 10/10 for cleanliness and it has all the right things to keep you going for about 7 days. My over all experience was a 9 /10 this was because I would change two things, 1 I would have the hot tub abit more private as people driving on to the site and past the site could see me in the hot tub. 2 the water was abit yellow, this will pit some people off so I would advise for the owner to get this issues resolved, the water tasted fresh but the colour put my partner off. Diane was a great help she answered all our queries before we got to the site and also when we where on the site. I will definitely be using these Pods next time. Regards Shezad Mansoor

Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback Shezad. The views are certainly stunning. Great to hear you enjoyed your stay at our new pod site. We will certainly consider the privacy of the hot tubs and look into this. To see if anything can be done.In regards to the water. Unfortunately our lovely spring water from the mountain. which is filtered and passed all the tests. Can be a little discoloured after heavy rain. Im pleased i could answer all your questions. I do like to respond as quickly as possible to any query. Thank you, it would be great to have you back Property Owner
