  • "Lovely cottage which is kept so nice and clean."

Welcome box made us feel cosy despite Storm Bert raging outside. The garden is open to the road, but nice neighbours told us of handy local walkways, which made it easier for early morning doggy trips. I would definitely stay again.

Many thanks for your kind review. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay despite the dreadful weather Property Owner

  • "Lovely little cottage nestled in quiet location in Alford Town."

All shops, market square etc right to hand. Weather was mixed for our stay and had a couple of days curled up in cosy sitting room in front of smart tv streaming 5 series of Luther! Beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard! Thank you to owners for our welcome pack and loan of your holiday cottage.

Many thanks for your kind comments, was lovely to have you stay and we are so pleased you found it so comfortable. Your positive review means a lot to us x Property Owner

  • "A fantastic stay in the Printers Cottage."

Great communication from hosts and lovely welcome pack, even treats for our dog. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well presented. We definitely recommend for anyone considering. We stayed with our small dog and found the cottage great location for Alford and a short drive to many of the local beaches. The cottage is spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. We didn't use the small patio / garden area as it wasn't enclosed. a lovely time was had by all. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind comments, so pleased you had a great stay. Thank you for being wonderful guests x Property Owner

All dressed for Christmas with a thoughtful welcome hamper. The cottage has everything you may need and is close to local amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visiting the seals.

  • "It was lovely with good quality fittings and fixtures, warm, clean and comfortable."

Welcome pack was a bonus. Only minor issue was one of the kitchen bins seemed impossible to remove so was difficult to empty and clean. Also given that we had to be out by 10am it would have been nice to be able to leave dishes in the dishwasher to run after we'd left.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I’m aware the back bin is awkward, not sure how to fix it! Seems to be the way it’s fitted, it’s a real pain. Also you were very welcome to have left dishes or have left them in the dishwasher running either would have been fine. Overall very pleased you had an enjoyable stay x Property Owner

  • "We had a very enjoyable week."

The cottage was very comfortable (and warm, as the temperature dopped towards the end of our stay) and within easy walking distance of local shops (and grooming parlour for the dog!). Lots to do within a 20 mile radius, and good local walks from the doorstep. The one thing that would have been useful would have been a small saucepan, but that's a very minor drawback!

Many thanks for your kind feedback. Really pleased you enjoyed your time in Alford. A small saucepan will be bought for the cottage! X Property Owner

The property was amazing, the kitchen had everything anyone would need during a stay, with dishwasher, washing machine and space outside to hang some washing. All rooms were very well presented and very clean. We had a dog who was more than happy here, many choices of walks very close by, and was even provided with own towels in utility room. Jess was very lovely and kept in regular contact for bed changes too. Would very much recommend this Cottage, the stay was great.

Otherwise, there were no complaints, and the owners did a fantastic job. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your place.

There is a wide range of shops including a pharmacy, grocers and two butchers as well as a large shop which specialises in doll’s houses and their contents. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. The main market is held in the Market Place every Tuesday and Friday with the craft market being held every August Bank Holiday as well as Christmas markets being held every year. Alford is known for its Grade 1 listed working windmill, which is used commercially to produce stone-ground organic flour. Alford Manor House is a central point in the town, with its exhibitions and museum as well as a tea room and open gardens. With Alford being set in the Lincolnshire Wolds, there are plenty of walking and cycling routes to follow or even take a trip to the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway or Claythorpe Watermill and Wildfowl Gardens, where you will find plenty of birds and animals, with plenty of space to sit and relax with great views of the old mill.
