• "Monty's really is a true retreat."

  .... Property spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and kitchen area so well equipped with high quality items, everything you need is at hand. Excellent shower and very comfortable beds. Enjoyed the cosy open living areas, sun room very comfortable to sit and relax, has a doggie friendly patio garden with an option of very comfortable seating areas where you can sit and relax taking in the fishing lake views. Off road parking is a bonus. Owner Ed very helpful & fast to respond to all queries. Anderby Creek is simply stunning ideal for short and long walks especially on the dog friendly beach - we've all had such a wonderful, relaxing stay at Monty's and we plan to return soon.

• "We had a lovely stay at montys retreat."

  It has everything you need for your break. Everything clean and good quality. Situated In a perfect spot for exploring East Coast. Beach is beautiful we had it to ourselves most days. The bar at top of road was not open but we ate at axe and cleaver at huttoft most days it is excellent. Only negative was trying to get down the side of bed very awkward but totally understand nothing can be done about that. We will hopefully be back again our monty loved it .

• "I have just returned from a very relaxing week at Monty's Retreat."

  The bungalow was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. It is very well equipped with everything needed to make it a real home from home. The garden was secure and ideal for my two dogs. Just a short stroll to the lovely sandy beach, which we virtually had to ourselves on most walks. I needed to contract Ed, the owner on a couple of occasions, he responded immediately and was very helpful. I would highly recommend the property and will definitely be returning again

• "Monty's Retreat is a little gem."

  It is well situated for long walks on the beach and is not to far from nearby towns on the Lincolnshire coast. It has everything that is needed and extra treats as well. We have stayed at quite a few holiday lets and this beats them all.

• "It is very clear from opening the door that Monty’s retreat is more than a holiday let and that the owners have stayed there themselves as everything you could need is there ."

  The place was spotless clean and well laid out . The kitchen utensils were quality items even the pans were good quality and non stick . All instruction manuals are available for all the appliances so you know how to use them . The night light torches were great so much so we have bought some for home . Liquid soap and washing up liquid were also supplied and there were even a few washing machine pods ,dog treats ,cleaning supplies and bin bags absolutely everything you could need . The area is very quiet . Unfortunately we came as the season had ended and the local shop and the beach cafe were closed and even poppas bar was only open a few days a week so we had to travel to find supplies during the week . Ed the owner was very responsive and helpful when we had to message him . I underestimated people’s comments about the size of the beds which unfortunately was a real issue for us as three very large adults with bad backs . This should not detract from the property for others . Ed the owner acknowledged this as although he is unable to change the beds in this property has come up with a future alternative that means we could return in the future . The beach was beautiful and even had disabled access to avoid the steep slope up to it . Our Dog was more than happy . This property is probably one of the nicest in the area and would highly recommend it to others wanting a relaxing quiet break .

  Thank you so much for your absolutely wonderful feedback, we are delighted you thought Monty's is as special as we do, and found it to have everything you needed for your stay. We have already added mattress toppers to assist with comfort (the mattresses were new when we opened our doors in June) , and have listened to feedback regarding the size of the beds. Unfortunately due to the size of the bedrooms we are limited as to what we are able to fit in, but have now decided to move the location of the heater from the wall in the larger of the two bedrooms to enable a double bed to be added to replace the small double. Therefore there will be one room with a double, and one with a small double. We do hope you return to Monty's for future happy holidays. Best wishes, Ed and Jodie. Property Owner

• "Loved it , couldn’t do any better , only minor moan beds small but we are use to king size but there was two so no problem, water pressure a bit low in shower but plenty of hot water , so all in all great dogs loved garden , nice looking over pond in distance ."

• "Lovely property."

  Very clean with everything you may need. Good location with lots of walks with the dog. The enclosed garden in the back was peaceful and you could watch the birds on the lake and hear the sea. The bed and bedroom were quite small however but this was due to bungalow size. We enjoyed our time here

• "This property is amazing!"

  Very well equipped for a self catering stay. Only one little problem the shower leaked and flooded bathroom floor on first use, contacted Ed, (the owner) who was very apologetic, promised to have his handyman to see to it later that day, he arrived on time and diagnosed and rectified the problem with no fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending this property for a relaxing beach holiday.

• "Had a fabulous week at Monty's Retreat."

  The bungalow was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, but a small double . The kitchen had everything that you needed. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits. The enclosed back garden was secure and great for our 2 frenchies.Definitely would recommend and will book again. Thankyou for having us x

• "Thank you Ed we had a great time ,you said you were getting a outside washing line and umbrella that's great maybe also a few fans if people are lucky to have the heatwave we had."

  So clean and very well equipped and presented. We will definitely come again . Marley are black lab loved watching the geese each day .

• "We had an excellent week stay in Monty's retreat and would highly recommend."

  Within walking distance to the beach and cafe . Pleasant walks to hufftoft through the small wood and the public footpath takes a steady 30mins, once you get there there is a lovely cafe and beautiful beach. A lot of thought and care has been put in to ensure your comfort at the Monty's retreat and we will be returning. Look out for the Badgers
