"What a beautiful place and so quiet just what we needed."
But unfortunately we had to come home the day after personal circumstances. But well worth every penny. Everything was available, local shop, seaside, peace and lots to see if you like the countryside. Highly recommended.

"In spite of the cold weather while we were there, the cottage remained warm and comfortable."
The cottage had every we required for our short stay (3 nights), and we received a very warm welcome from the owners. It’s a little bit of a drive to the nearest shops and restaurants, but since we were using the stay to visit family, this didn’t matter. Our dog liked it there too.

It was in a beautiful, tranquil location and perfect for a relaxing break with a well maintained fishing lake for those keen anglers.

"Ticklepenny was a lovely little cottage just right for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs."
Very comfortable and clean. The outside space could do with a little maintenance as there is quite a lot of moss growing which in turn transfers from your feet to the inside of the property and maybe a small table with the chairs that are already there. However we had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. There is a nice amount of wildlife around the cottages and along the canal we were lucky enough to see the Barn Owl flying on 3 occasions.
Thank you for your kind comments and obsevations, always appreciated. Property Owner

"Canal farm is in a peaceful setting, even though a working farm."
The owners were pleasant and approachable and on site if needed.Kitchen was equipt with any item you could possibly require. The bathroom is large and airy with a splendid walk in shower; especially for those who have had lots of birthdays !! The Icing on the cake, for me,was the superb lake ---where I spent several "short" shifts catching carp up to 18 ibs. There is much to see in the surrounding area depending on individual tastes and I would most certainly highly recommend Canal Farm Cottages T

"We had a very warm welcome, with a pot of tea and Lincolnshire Plum Bread and butter put out for us."
The cottage is cosy and spotlessly clean with all the equipment that we needed in the kitchen. The bed is firm and there is plenty of drawer/wardrobe space to unpack everything into. It has a nice big bathroom with a large walk in shower. We don't fish, but enjoyed a walk around the lake and the fish looked rather large to my untrained eyes. The whole area is beautifully maintained and it's far enough away from civilisation for those who wish peace and quiet, but near enough for a short drive to get to where you need to be. Richard and Mary-Anne were friendly and kind and we enjoyed our stay very much.
