  • "Very well appointed lodge in a superb location on the lake We have stayed at Tattershall Lakes a number of times now but this is by far the best lodge we have stayed in when you look at everything together Welcome hamper was lovely We went February half term so whilst it wasn’t really the weather for sitting outside; there were times we did and it is just so peaceful with the lake view."

We expect more activity to be on the lake as the season builds but we can’t wait for that. We stayed for a week but extended our stay for another weekend whilst we were there so it turned into a 10 day break. We have also booked a return stay for a week at Easter! Can’t wait to go back

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave a review, it is very much appreciated! We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay so much that you extended, and also re-booked for Easter. We look forward to welcoming you back and hopefully the weather will be warmer so you can sit out and enjoy those magnificent views! Kind regards Rachael Property Owner

The sight is massive and the bars, area for entertainment and swimming just can't cope. We couldn't do most activities as booked up in advance. We was very disappointed. Didn't enjoy our holiday really because of it. Nothing to do.

Hi Joanne, thank you for taking the time to leave positive feedback on the lodge. As the facilities are completely separately owned, I will email you the away resorts email so you can take up with them the problems you occurred with the site. You were advised to book activities/ slots etc 21-days in advance and sent the link to do so prior to your stay Kind regards. Rachael Property Owner

Also as it’s not with Away resorts your very limited on things to do also your only advised to get entertainment passes through them not that you need to, to be able to do anything. You have to check out by 9.30 in the morning which leaves you no time at all if you have a family to sort out in the morning

Thank you for your feedback. You did stay during a very rare 40 degrees heatwave, fans were provided, and an earlier check-in as a gesture of good will was offered at no extra charge. Regarding the passes, you were sent all the relevant information prior to your booking with links etc but you choose to purchase very last minute (on the day you checked-in) Regarding the check-out, cleaners arrived at 10.20am to find you still in the property, in order to maintain the property to the very high standard that it is kept ample time is needed in between bookings. • "The lodge was lovely."

Clean, spacious and comfortable. The x box had some excellent family games which was perfect for when it was raining. The grounds were also lovely. The hot tub had a lot of use! The castle was closed but there is a nice little walk on the website which is only 1.9k so good for kids not wanting to walk far. This was a private booking and unfortunately we weren’t made aware we would need passes for everyone to access the facilities. We weren’t interested in swimming but the passes were needed just to access the restaurants and arcade. This cost a further £50 which made eating out very expensive indeed. The money paid didn’t even include crazy golf which was another £5 per head. It also meant a long time in a queue waiting to get into guest services to pay for the passes. Part of the reason it took so long is we hadn’t been told we would need to register for COVID reasons before getting our passes. We also weren’t informed everything needs booking online which meant we were very limited in where we could go, what we could do and when. Overall, this was a good break and I would definitely go back but information could be significantly improved.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and what the property had to offer. We do advise the on-site entertainment will require an activity pass which is an additional cost however, we will look to make this information clearer. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Sykes Cottages Property Owner

Lots of little finishing touches made the property a delight to stop in. There was a fabulous welcome basket, every appliance you could wish for, there was space for everyone (even with three bedrooms it felt really spacious) and the hot tub overlooking the lake was the final finishing touch. ...thats all there is to say !! The only one complaint, is the x box, there is no games for it, you have to connect to the wifi which you are charged for and then the console does a load of updates which uses all of your data !! A few games supplied would give this a 10 out of 10 instead of 9.5 !!!

We love Tattershall and this is my favourite lodge by far. My mum needs a hip replacement and has back pain but she loves this lodge as it’s spacious and peaceful. The full size single beds means she can get in/ out easy and the bath has handles for her. She can always get in/out hot tub which really eases her pain and helps her swollen feet! I bring my 4 year old too who loves playing hide and seek ! He loves the hot tub and watching all the ducks and swans. We have been in the heat of the summer and the chilly autumn nights and it’s just as magical. We love the Farm park nearby for a fun day out. Can not wait to return to this lodge. The owners really look after the lodge and the welcome hampers is a lovely touch . See you in 2020 !

It was very clean and homely, with everything you need. The view was fantastic over the lake and it was lovely to sit and watch the water sports with a morning coffee! The hot tub was a treat which all the family enjoyed. Although the lodge is on the edge of the resort, it was only a pleasant 10 minute walk to the centre (restaurants, entertainment, children’s park) Would definitely recommend for families with children / couples having a quiet break. As well as enjoying the on site entertainment, we visited Tattershall castle which was a lovely walk around and took the children to tattershall farm park which was also a lovely afternoon out.

It is so comfortable and home from home the owners certainly made us feel like we was very welcomed. The views every day was such a bonus. The washing machine, dishwasher, bath, on suite, and hot tub was just perfect. Comfortable beds, fans in each room, extra towels, Spotlessly clean just made our stay more enjoyable. The kids age 13 & 16 thoroughly enjoyed the water sports, the swimming pool, evening entertainment and the hot tub was fabulous. I would definitely book again and will certainly be recommending this lodge to my family and friends.

  • "We’ve stayed in different lodges in Tattershall over the past 4 years."

This one was by far the best! Up to date and fresh furnishing. Bath is a bonus as my child hates showers. Full size single beds - not the smaller ones you get in caravans. Good size wardrobes. Washing machine is a bonus so you don’t go home with loads of washing - ideal for if you have kids or long stay. Dishwasher- thumbs up. Shower en suite - good size . The lodge is in a quiet area overlooking the aqua sports lake. While there are people on the lake 10-6/7 pm you don’t feel like it invades your privacy. It’s fun to watch. You can sit in the hot tub and relax with the beautiful views. We took food with us because the restaurants in the complex aren’t great and you need an entertainment pass. But we have previously used local pubs/ the chip shop and Chinese which are are 4-5 min drive max. There’s a farm park 5 mins drive - £6.50pp which is a fun day out and Woodhall spa nearby for walks, visit the outdoor heated pool. There are RAF aircraft practicing above which we love and don’t mind the sound. We didn’t want to leave because the lodge was so beautiful. My advice if staying in Tattershall- pay the extra for lake views! As soon as returned home we booked a weekend in October here.
