"Very fast, noisy, heavy traffic within 3 yards of the door."
Day and night! Stair dangerously steep, very low beams. We are not tall and both hit our heads repeatedly. Toilet/shower rather primitive. I don't think this cottage fits the "romantic " bill!

Friendly locals very rural but the village is only 3 miles away, lovely beaches within 30 minutes drive and lots of public footpaths nearby. Beautiful views of Lincolnshire wolds. Wonderful hosts providing everything and more.I will definitely return to this lovely place

"The cottage was lovely, and the log fire had been lit, it was warm and welcoming."
Being 'dinky' it was easy to keep tidy, the kitchen had all the facilities, and more compared to some other holiday lets we have used. The shower was so easy to use, and it was not an 'overhead' shower, I really cannot get on with those. The beds were comfortable and ample storage for clothing etc. We really recommend it.
Thank you for your lovely comments. It is very much appreciated. Sandra. Property Owner

"Absolutely Beautiful."
The cottage was clean, and well maintained. Nice of the owners to leave us some tea, coffee and biscuits. Would recommend. Lovely area, with stunning views from the garden. As mentioned in the description, the stairs are steep but we had no issues (although our dog wouldn't go up them

"A beautiful cottage with the fantastic log fire it was great being able to take our dog, and found its spotless and very clean and very kind that they left us milk, tea, coffee and also a bottle of wine and mince pies as we spent Christmas week there, the weather wasn't brilliant but there was lots of wood and coal to keep the fire going, would definitely recommend to friends and family."

"We enjoyed our stay immensely!"
We found the cottage cozy and comfortable. Nice, out-of-town location but within short driving distance to grocery and restaurants. We loved the fenced in area in front of the cottage so we didn't have to worry about our pup running out into the busy street. We had everything we needed and you even thought of little extras to make our stay easier (like the milk and biscuits!) The wood-burning stove was so soothing and everything was just great. Thank you so much Sandra and Andy!

"It's not how you described, it's what you did not !"
On the pictures it was so decieving,as it showed a shingle driveway, which we thought was somewhere to walk our little dog ,also having to park opposite the house, in a dirt layby on a main road 60 miles an hour, was not practical as I and my partner have mobility issues!very dangerous ,we assumed when you said it had a gas hob it would have an oven ! Never have booked if it was mentioned, also microwave was not the same as pictures, so tiny! You also said road noise but did not mention the fast road right outside, also it is not dog friendly, unless you had a enclosed garden, or patio, we have not been out for 3 years,I have only been out of hospital for 3 weeks due to pneumonia! and it was going to be a quiet time away, but this cottage broke my heart on my birthday!!! We only stayed for less than 30 minutes, and spent all of our money, very much upset and disappointed, in the future describe as it is and do not deceive anyone else, would now call on you to do the right thing and refund us at least some of the cost, will never go with Sykes again ,worst experience ever,it's not what you said it is about what you did not say! about the place! Very upset, jayne
Although your comments mainly refer to the presentation by Sykes I think the judgements you have made about my cottage are very unfair. If you had read the description correctly you would have realised this property would not suit your requirements. Â The microwave is normal size and replaced the pictured one that was broken. I would like to point out that many people with dogs and mobility problems have enjoyed their holidays in the cottage. Property Owner

We stayed here for a short winter's break the cottage is quaint for two; good location for towns nearby; facilities reasonable; note narrow stairs must be relatively fit and no upstairs toilet; all in all a good break; excellent value for cost
