• "Only issue we had surrounded the bathroom."

  No available towel rail for drying the towels, and we are used to using bathsheets as opposed to bath towels. Otherwise very good.

• "We loved our time at the barn, so much so that my partner booked us in again for Christmas."

  Everything was beautiful and so bijou and cosy. The decor was lovely and inviting. It was so peaceful there. The village is a favourite of ours especially being so close to wild nature and the Spurn peninsula. Only a couple of points that could make everything perfect...we we were rather sweltering at times and we were woken by the central heating coming on too early in the morning. We were also concerned that the actual barn door had a little hole in it and gaps at the sides with no lock, it adjoins the bedroom and bathroom so rather embarrassing at times, also brighter lighting is much needed for getting ready to go out at night etc. I couldn't style my hair or put makeup on properly

There is a heating control on the wall so customers can adjust the heating to their own needs. • "Fantastic property, really cosy and quiet."

  Great amenities and a lovely enclosed garden to sit out in when the sun is shining( perfect for dogs). Comfy bed and sofa had a great relaxing time. Even left us lots of goodies in a lovely welcome pack! Thanks for having us would definitely come back.

• "A very clean and comfortable apartment!"

  The owners obviously have a good gage on what’s important, like a comfortable bed and high quality bedlinen. A perfect sized TV in living room with built in sound bar. Loved the magnetic blinds to keep the sun out. Front garden/patio area was perfect and the solar lights at night really made it feel calm. Very quiet village and everyone we met were really friendly.

• "This was a lovely cosy cottage the only fall back is the village has no shop and the two pub don’t sell meal so if you want to eat out you have to travel 22miles ,other than that it is well worth the money and we enjoy our stay at the barn ."

• "It's a nice little place in a very pleasant village."

  Some nice quiet walks and the beach isn't full of people. Not a lot to do unless you want to use it as a base and drive to visit other places. The Barn itself was very clean and tidy, and the proprietors' had left a welcome hamper of which I was very grateful as the nearest shop is some distance away.

• "Sylvie & Martin have succeeded in going the extra mile with all the thoughtful extras they supply with the Barn from the welcome basket of goodies, letting you know when they have finished cleaning the cottage and is ready for your visit on the day."

  They even dropped off some home grown produce for us. There where so many thoughtful extras. We can not speak highly of them enough, their holiday let is a credit to them. We would like to return in the future all being well and wish that all holiday lets could manage this standard.

• "This is an absolute gem of a holiday cottage."

  Cosy, VERY comfortably furnished to a high standard and every consideration has been given to the clients enjoyment and comfort. The village is very quiet, nearest shop is Tesco in Withernsea about 7 miles away but we were aware of this and took enough supplies to last a few days. A fish and chip van visits the pub at the rear of the cottage on Tuesday evening, 5pm to 7.30pm. Can recommend the Crown and Anchor at Kilnsea for food whether its lunchtime or evening

• "The barn is a really lovely property it is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and even more."

  The location is wonderful and very stress free peace and quiet away from all the stresses we face on daily basis. We don't usually relax so easily and have such a lovely comfortable bed away from home.the bed at the barn is pure bliss and is as good as it gets . There is also a lock up shed if you choose to bring bikes to put away safely The owners are such nice helpful people and contactable if you need to they have thought of everything to make your stay a special one. We highly recommend The Barn as it is so homely and welcoming for those who want to get away for destressing . we promise you wont want to leave l we didnt thank you so very much Tony Di and Tilly

• "A lovely cottage, ideally placed for a week's birdwatching at Spurn Point."

  Although the weather was wet and wild, we kept cozy in The Barn. The village doesn't have any shops so we stopped off on route for the essentials, but there was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived. The owner checked in with us when the weather was bad to make sure we were ok, which was very nice of her. When we didn't feel like cooking we enjoyed food at the Crown and Anchor at Kilnsea, who catered for my gluten-free diet admirably. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Barn and would love to visit again in the future.

• "Standard of cottage was just as we have learned to expect over the years from Sykes."

  It was perfect for the two of us to have a lovely relaxing holiday. The additional extras supplied by Sylvie and Martin were very much appreciated. The cottage was located in an ideal position for exploring Spurn Point and further north to Bempton Cliffs for some good bird watching, but also near enough to Beverley, York and other towns for shopping experiences!

• "The Barn is an extremely pleasant place to stay."

  The accommodation is very well laid out and the owners have furnished it very Comfortably. Thought has been given to anyone staying with a very comprehensive welcome pack. Husband and myself with our two cockapoo puppies enjoyed our stay. Wellcome pack included wine, cake, biscuits, bread, store cupboard essentials, dog treats. There are various routes to walk the dogs including a 15 min walk to the beach. The local pub had good food and very friendly landlords, and the dogs were allowed in. The coffee and cake shop in Patrington is a must to visit. I would give The Barn top marks.
