"Had a beautiful week."
We loved the welcome pack especially the tennis ball our dog played with constantly. It's fully equipped and very comfortable. Just being next to the woods was so beautiful, by the end of the week we were all so so relaxed. Would most certainly recommend for anyone wanting to be amongst nature especially if you have a dog
Thank you so much for your feedback Jackie, it means so much. Pleased you had such a lovely week ♥️ Property Owner

Stayed for 5 nights .'Bliss'. Very comfortable . Decking was a good size & was secure for our pooch. It Was nice to wake up in the morning to the squirrels running around outside. Lodge was equipped with everything needed , & so much more. Thank you Kirsty for our lovely welcome gifts of Wine , cookies, dog treats , ball and everything else , from tea, coffee , fresh milk, condiments etc. Also All cleaning products .( When I've stayed in other lodges alot of this stuff I've had to go & purchase myself ) We will definitely return !!

"We had a Family get together with a Nice visiting from Australia It was a lovely relaxing holiday."
The Lodge was clean, well equipped and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you could need. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. The beds were comforting and we slept like logs. The wraparound verandah was a bonus with tables and chairs. Never been in a Lodge before and it was like being in a Western.Loved it. It was blissfully quiet with the only sound was the Wind rustling the trees. Kirsty thoughtfully provided an extra set of keys and was very personable. Never been to Lincolnshire before and assumed it was all flat. The Wolds proved me wrong it's lovely and the roads are quiet and excellent. There are a lot of on site activities but we were too busy visiting the local attractions and pubs. Royal Oak and Kenwick Manor close and excellent. If ever a place was well named it is "The Great Escape" Spot on
Thank you so much for your feedback David, really pleased you had such a lovely stay. It means so much to hear your feedback. Property Owner

"Had a wonderful stay everything we could need was provided for and great communication with the owner."
I would definitely stay again and would recommend. My only slight critique would be maybe to upgrade the mattresses on the beds but it wouldn’t change my review. Highly recommended holiday lodge.

"First time exploring Lincolnshire and the lodge was an excellent base."
Spacious and comfortable with the all the kitchen supplies required for self catering and a nice welcome pack from the owner. Although the site is pretty sizeable, the way the lodges are situated gives a feeling of peaceful seclusion, especially with this lodge being on the end of a row of five/six lodges. Nice wrap around deck to catch both morning and evening sun. As an avid cook, the only disappointment was the site's strict rule on no BBQs especially given the excellent weather we had, but understandable given the ancient woodland. I'm not one for visiting the same place twice as there's so much of the country to explore but I wouldn't hesitate to book this lodge again. The nearby town of Louth was a little gem. Great communication from the owner. Although we did not have the need to contact her that much, I got the impression she would be very helpful if required. All round excellent spot!

"The lodge was Absolutely beautiful, clean, cozy, comfy and in the most peaceful, tranquill setting."
Unfortunately, the weather was awful, so we couldnt enjoy the , unoverlooked, veranda. Our dog was very secure too, and she loved her walks, in the surrounding forests. The owner, Kirsty, was very helpful , too and had left, absolutely, everything needed and some lovely extras. In Sykes listing, it did say there was a washing machine, but, there isnt. We would recommend this beautiful lodge to anyone who wants some peace and quiet and comfort.

"The lodge was in a lovely setting right next to to a lovely wood setting ideal for our grandchildren and dogs to explore."
A very nice welcome basket greeted us on arrival with thought for the grandkids and dogs, the lodge was very spacious and had all the home comforts you could ask for. The downside was there was no smart tv just freeview and the Wi-Fi was very poor and unreliable which was also disappointing as it was advertised with both and would have been great for the wet days we had especially for the children. We found the washing machine was not working and did tell the owner who was very apologetic and was going to organise there maintenance man to come and fix it but in the end we had to go to a laundrette so cancelled as we only had a couple of days left. Overall we felt the lodge could do with a little TLC, but all in all we did have a nice time at The Great Escape and would recommend.
Hello Chris, thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to receive such a low feedback as customer service is our top priority. - I set an appointment up to have the washing machine fixed which you cancelled, I offered to pay for any launderette costs that you incurred. I understand the inconvenience this caused and a plan was put in place. - Sykes class a TV with Freeview as a Smart TV. - We are deep in the forest and WIFI unfortunately does not have a high signal all of the time. It does depend on how many users are using this at one time also. All of the lodges under the trees suffer from this unfortunately but we usually have a reliable service. - TLC, we have just installed a large shower in the en-suite which has been very popular, we have amazing feedback for facilities etc and we do all we can to provide everything we think families will need. The lodge is not new and although we have not owned it very long, we have replaced anything that has needed replacing. The lodge is in a great condition. - Thank you for your feedback on the welcome baskets, this is something we like to do especially not forgetting the dogs! Again thank you for your feedback and for choosing The Great Escape! Kirsty Property Owner

"Absolutely loved our New Years stay at the great escape."
The lodge is stunning, great location on the park also. We felt really welcome and had great contact with Kirsty as needed, mainly to say call if we needed anything and to have a great time, we had no need to call as all was perfect. The lodge is spacious, clean, with comfy beds and plenty of sitting and dinning space. We enjoyed the walks and the hotel facilities. Kids loved the swimming pool and I loved the Spa. Great place to stay, we will definitely be back.
Thank you for your feedback Sarah, it has been gratefully received! We would love to welcome you back to the lodge again. Thank you for choosing The Great Escape! Kirsty Property Owner

"The Great Escape is a fabulous, spacious lodge set in rural woodland on Kenwick park."
The location is so tranquil and peaceful, and it was lovely to wake up listening to the forest wildlife. Less then 30 minutes drive to some fantastic beaches on the east coast, which Jac our Border Collie loved. Communication with Kirsty the owner was spot on. We will definitely return to this fab lodge for another relaxing week at some point.

"Overall pleasant stay at The Great Escape, so quiet apart from the bird song and squirrels dashing about"
-
"The Great Escape was perfect and we would thouroughly recommend anyone looking to recharge their batteries to book a break at the lodge."
-
"The lodge was in a beautiful setting, well appointed with all the appliances that were necessary."
You could not get bored at this lodge as there is so much to do for all ages, there is an 18-hole golf course, a pitch and putt for the family, countless walks, and fly fishing close by for those that want it. There is bicycle hire for the many cycle tracks, tennis, volleyball, and excellent shopping in the pretty town of Louth. No more than ten miles there are beaches, and a little further, Mablethorpe and Skegness.

"The great escape is just that!"
! the wonderful setting on the edge of Kenwick Park, the ability to walk straight into the woods, this cabin is a slice away! Do note if you have youngster who require to be online all the time with lightening speed - this is not the place for you. But we wanted to be semi-offline (there is Wi-Fi but it’s temperamental and reasonably slow). The cabin has all you would need - note the walls are thin, the floors creek, and the doors are noisy, so once one is up you’re all up! Again this worked for us but definitely something to bear in mind. It’s a great location to also explore the coast from - we took daytips to Cleethorpes and Skegness (both about 30mins drive with dog friendly beaches!!) and we even walked cross-country to The Splash in Little Cawthrope. Sea or Country it’s all here…. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it and explore our wonderful country!!

"Lovely place, a real get away from it all."
The owners kindly left us some treats, even our little dogs weren't left out. How thoughtful was that! Our stay was comfortable, clean with all your creature comforts. The site offered lots of things to do if the weather wasn't on your side and Louth was only 10 minutes drive. Would recommend.
