  • "Great property and very convenient for the City."

We have stayed many times and would not stay anywhere else in Lincoln.

  • "The cottage was lovely, clean, spacious and comfortable."

Having a large patio area and garden to enjoy the sun was a bonus as was the parking. Plenty of cooking equipment / crockery / glasses and was wonderful to have plenty of cleaning equipment for the kitchen, dishwasher and washer. So thoughtful. Lots of cupboard space to hang our many costumes for the Lincoln Steampunk weekend and a short walk into the centre made it easy for us to leave the car at the accommodation.

This is a smart bungalow with fresh decor and spotless rooms, We had great weather so we spent our evenings outside a lot on the rear patio. This area whilst spacious with decent furniture could benefit from a good tidy and a fresh eye.

  • "The four of us staying at Broadway Cottage found it to be very comfortable and well equipped, with everything you could need."

It was only a short walk to a useful shop and not much further to Lincoln Cathedral and the Castle. There were also country walks within reach, which we enjoyed - we didn't use the car all week. The cottage has a spacious garden and is situated in a quiet road in a peaceful area. We especially enjoyed meals at the Trattoria da Vincenza down at the bottom of the city.

  • "One of the best properties we have stayed in - quality furnishings, comfy beds and really good linen and towels."

Everything you needed - especially in the kitchen. Lovely garden (unfortunately the weather was not in our side) - but really nice table and chairs with padded cushions there for your use. Great location - in very quiet road - was great to be able to walk into the centre- didn’t use the car for a few days. Managed to get two fairly big cars into driveway- which was a bonus. Must give the nice friendly neighbours a mention too. Would happily stay here again if in the area.

  • "The property was very well turned out and comfortable for our stay."

In the kitchen there were various olive oils, balsamic vinegars etc (much better stocked cupboard than we have had on previous rentals). The generous gift of a nice bottle of wine and some chocolates was appreciated. Nice sunny garden with comfortable chairs and a table enabled us to sit outside and eat. A bbq was also provided but we didn’t use it. We discovered the Trattoria de Vincenzo, a lovely little authentic Italian restaurant in town which belongs to the owner.

  • "We aren’t typical holiday guests- we live in the same road and our building work suddenly hit a snag which meant an immediate departure for us and our dog."

So we knew already that it’s a great location for uphill Lincoln! The house was very comfortable and blissfully free of the clutter we live in at the moment. The kitchen is well equipped without too much-we stayed in another property on holiday last year where there was so much stuff that it was overwhelming. The handbook was great, just a simple welcome, no long list of restrictions and some useful info re appliances. The living room was a comfy haven in the evenings and the tv was the same as ours and let me use my Apple TV login. We only used downstairs but the double bed was very comfortable and the shower room great, with ample hot water. The welcome wine and choice were much appreciated! We would use this again if we needed an overflow for visitors. Thanks for a great stay!

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broadway Cottage."

It is an excellently located property being just a 10 minute walk from the cathedral and castle area. It is very well equipped with an abundance of cutlery and crockery and other kitchen items. There was also no shortage of consumables (kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, tin foil etc) which we have found is not always the case in the dozens of cottages in which we have stayed. Some reviews have mentioned difficulty parking on the drive. We have a fairly large car and found the parking easy. The property is clean, spacious and, in the very cold weather we experienced, warm and welcoming.

  • "Broadway is lovely and clean, well equipped and comfortable, very well located for getting into Bailgate and into the main shopping area or getting out of Lincoln to visit the Wolds etc."

I had no contact from the owner, but a bottle of wine was there to greet me (I don't drink alcohol). Everything was fine and as expected, however a note to other guests is that the drive is long but narrow so larger cars will not go in and on another note I find the 'Ring' style doorbells intrusive. Finally, I would like to commend the Housekeeping Fairy, as I did meet her when leaving and she was very kind and friendly, she does an excellent job.

Plenty of kitchen equipment. The beds were comfortable and the house was warm. Although I have some mobility issues it was a reasonable walk into the city centre so no need to worry about parking. There is a bus service but could not work out what went where but as we did not need it did not investigate. I would certainly go back if I visit the area again. The neighbours were nice also.

Well appointed and beautifully furnished. It is a super location for uphill Lincoln which is a very short walk away. We would have no hesitation in booking this cottage again, it is the best cottage we have rented in the area so far. Only one very slight negative is the back garden could do with a tidy up.
