  • "Wow! This was an incredible find."

We stayed from 4th of November as we were looking for a peaceful location away from fireworks with our two rescue dogs. It truly was peaceful- beautiful surroundings so we enjoyed lovely long walks and spotted so much wildlife. The lodge was amazing - we have stayed in many lodges, but none as well equipped as this one. A lovely lounge and dining area, amazing kitchen with utility room, family bathroom, twin bedroom and master bedroom with walk in wardrobe and large en-suite. Everything was immaculate- towels provided which were soft and fluffy. There was a wrap around decking with a seating area where we enjoyed a relaxing glass of wine listening to the owls and other birds. It truly was a magical stay and obvious that the lodge was loved by the hosts rather than just a business let. Thank you for the welcome basket, tips on local walks and details of the nearby dog friendly beach. See you next year

Thankyou so much for your amazing review, this is exactly what we aim at, thankfully we don't get the fireworks problem around us thank goodness, look forward to seeing you next year.xx Property Owner

  • "Cottage was very well supplied with everything you would need even bin bags!"

The owner had provided some fresh fruit, milk and a plumb loaf a Lincolnshire specialty, and some treats for our dogs which was very thoughtful. The lodge was warm and comfortable and very quiet. We were able to walk our dogs on the caravan field in front of the lodge each morning which was very handy.

so pleased you enjoyed your stay, hoped you enjoyed the Lincolnshire plumb bread. Best wishes Pat and David. Property Owner

  • "All though the property was well equipped and comfortable one or two things like the kitchen tap and the bathroom fan wouldn't switch off."

The outlook was overgrown through one of the lounge windows, some of the outside buildings were a little bit untidy. We would have preferred it if it hadn't been so out of the way, as some of the roads were in need of repair and quite narrow.

we are sorry to hear you had problems with the lodge, we were unaware the bathroom fan didn't turn off and will rectify this , we did offer to come into the lodge and tighten the tap immediately but you refused to let us do this.. The untidy buildings you refer to are nothing to do with the lodge, and is fenced off so does not affect the field views from the the kitchen window at the back of the lodge,I think you would agree all the areas surrounding the lodge and our camping field are in well maintained order and enjoyed by our guests. we do make our guests aware of the narrow roads around us , in the section things to be aware of, in the description before you book, I'm afraid this is the nature of the area and not something we can change, the bushes to one side window are pruned in October, as I'm sure you would agree all the other windows are clear of any foliage so the view isn't spoiled in any way. we are very sorry your stay was spoilt as we always endeavour to ensure our guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay. • "Faultless. Everything, (and more, like welcome beers and cake), that is needed for a true 'home from home' feeling was provided."

I felt my family and I were more like visiting cousins than paying guests, with Pat and David both very warm and welcoming, eager to make our stay perfect. There was a small problem with TV reception in the lodge, (necessary when folks don't want to play the many board games etc., that were left for our amusement), and the repair began immediately. Previous holidaymakers had secretly damaged the clothes airer, and as soon as I mentioned it, a new and better one was ordered and provided. The site is lovely, tucked away in a quiet, green and very beautiful area, with the local co-op just a mile away, full of friendly and helpful people. We've had a grand stay here, and are looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommended :-)

Pam it's been a delight to welcome you and your family, thanks for the understanding with the tv airial, we look forward to your next visit. thank you Pat and David. Property Owner

The craft beers with cheese & crakers left for us was a lovely touch

thanks for your lovely review and happy you enjoyed the lodge, wish you'd have said about the radio, it comes through the tv, or the hey Google which is on the corner table , you just set it to your phone and there's all the stations and music you want to play, but I will put a little radio in there, it would be easier . hope you visit again , your dog Brett is beautiful. xx Property Owner

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The cabin itself was spacious and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forest from the cabin's large windows and outdoor deck. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to prepare our meals and enjoy family dinners together. The living room area was comfortable and inviting, with a fireplace that we lit in the evenings to create a cozy ambiance. Our youngest member Milo(Malese dog) enjoyed so much. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and we all had a restful night's sleep each night. The children loved exploring the nearby trails and playing in the yard while my spouse and I enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the surroundings. Overall, our stay at the Kantanye cabin was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
