"The cottage is perfect for a quiet and peaceful break."
This was our first time away with our rescue greyhound and he settled in to the cottage straight away because it was so quiet. Ideal for 2 people and a dog. Good use of space in the cottage and very comfortable bed.

"We had a wonderful stay at Swallows Nest."
The property is beautiful, extremely clean and very well maintained. The attention to detail is first class, The surroundings are stunning, the countryside and the woods stretch for miles which was great for our dog, who was happy that he could explore the area off lead. Ollie, our dog loved his trip away and settled so well, the first time we’ve managed to complete a stay as due to him being a very nervous dog, he doesn’t settle staying away from home too well if the area is busy or noisy, we have always needed to come home early for him. We loved the area, so lovely and quiet and listening to the owls at night. We were so sad to leave but we will definitely be back for a longer stay. Thankyou for a perfect time.

Was very good overall only issue we had was no washing machine so we had to hand wash other than this it was a beautiful place and very nice
Hi Rubi, We don’t advertise a washing machine, so maybe double check the property details if washing is important to your holiday; next time. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay overall. Kindest regards, Vicki & Jon Property Owner

"A fabulous and peaceful stay for my dog and I."
Walks in every direction, lovely village to explore with an excellent pub. The accommodation was superb; tasteful and well laid out with everything you could need… I felt very at home. Excellent log burner and to have logs provided saved expense and hassle, much appreciated! The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Would definitely come again. Thank you for a wonderful restful break!

"We arrived to be told that the wifi was down due to a local farmer ploughing up the cable."
As we were ion the middle of selling a commercial property we to spend a lot of time finding local places with connections. Not easy to go into a coffee shop and start spreading you files over their tables. In the end we went home early. If we had been informed of this problem before we left home we could have easily brought a router with sim with us and thus there would have not been a problem. Sykes this ought to have happened, not good enough.

"We couldn’t fault anything."
The whole experience was everything we wished for and more. A great place for the dogs too, safe to run free without any worries.

Well equipped with everything you could need, it's very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Lots of dog walking trails right on the doorstep and lots of places of interest to visit in the area.

"Swallows Nest was a great little cottage and made my stay plus dog :-) a very relaxing break."
Good walking from the front door and Redbourne Village is an easy stroll for either a meal or a drink in the Red Lion. The owners were very helpful and the recommendations for visits to local restaurants/pubs gives a good list of places to visit. If you have a dog they will love it! - My dog Blaze is still sulking! "Fabulous place to stay."
The cottage is all you need and more. The setting is beautiful. Probably the most relaxed I have been for a very long while. Oh yes, and the dog loved it too.

"Spent a weekend at Swallow's nest and completely agree with the previous reviews."
The property has been renovated to such a high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Having designated parking and outdoor space is really important to me as it's just me and my dog and having access to so many beautiful walks straight from the door was an added bonus. Really comfy bed and sofas and the decor throughout the property is stunning. Would definitely recommend this property and location to anyone looking for a relaxing break

"We had the most amazing time at 'Swallows Nest'."
Surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt countryside. It was absolutely idyllic and so quiet. My husband, the dog and I were spoilt for choice when deciding which walk to go on. Perfect! So much wildlife to see, we were lucky enough to see the visiting swallows, swans with nesting cygnets and hares. The cottage itself was great. Everything was catered for and very well equipped. Although one building, an old converted cattle shed, it was spacious, modern and light. The bed was so huge & so comfortable. Was a bonus not having to bring bedding and towels as these were included. Really cannot recommend this piece of paradise enough. John & Vicki were amazing hosts. Thank you & we will return.

"So quiet and peaceful."
We loved our stay at Swallows Nest. There is only fields around which you can walk around without having to use the car or you can drive 30min to the seaside. Loved the big comfy bed, Netflix on the TV so we could watch films, the wet room with a great shower and the enclosed garden for our French bulldog. Really nice, relaxing accommodation.

"Just returned from a fabulous stay at Swallow’s Nest."
Nothing but praise, amazing rural location which was perfect for the dogs with walks from the door, beautiful decor, comfortable furniture, super comfy beds and fully equipped with everything we needed. Great hosts on hand when needed but in no way intrusive. Highly recommend and we are looking forward to coming back in the future.

"Great location for a get away from it all type break."
Wonderful walks, very well maintained with attention to detail far exceeding our expectations.

"Lovely well equipped cottage Friendly and welcoming owners And lovely countryside location"

"It was lovely."
I could quite happily live there! It was literally a last minute booking and so was a bit of a gamble but luck was on my side on this occasion. It was comfortable and homely with a modern twist belying it's exterior looks. Quiet with dog walking routes available on the door step. I only have praise for it and the owners. Jon was on hand when needed and was both helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. I'd never have known about the Spitfire wing weights that were looking at me every day had he not told me. Will definitely be going back.

"On arrival we were greeted by our host John who was very friendly and helpful."
The property was very clean and comfortable especially the lovely big bed. There was a welcome pack consisting of milk ,biscuits ,chews for the dogs ,a bottle of beer and a bottle of Prosecco. There were lots of walks for the dogs. The enclosed garden was also good as we could let the dogs out safely. The furniture and fixtures were of high quality and the log burner was really welcome on the cool nights. We had a very relaxing break and would definitely return.

"We loved your cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time there."
Our only issue was the fact that sykes state that the pub is 0.5 miles away and in the cottage brochure it states that it is 1.4 miles away which if you were dressed up for an evening out it would be too far to walk. However it did not effect our holiday and had the best time.

Beautiful little cosy cottage Very tranquil and quiet place Nice touch with the Prosecco and real ale on arrival Nice walks from the door step Would definitely recommend it and will be coming back I never asked the owner for one but could do with a hoover instead of a dust pan and brush just to keep on top of it with 2 dogs after a wet muddy walk Every thing else was perfect

"Swallows Nest is beautiful inside and out."
It has everything you need to have a relaxing stay in peace and quiet. It is ideal for walking right from your doorstep and the log burner is perfect after a day out in the winter weather!

"We were very impressed in every way."
Definitely hope to return if staying in Lincolnshire again. The property deserves it's 5* reviews and wonderful hospitality from the hosts.
-
"A true gem, its not often you get the complete package of living and sleeping comfort combined with superb taste in fixtures and fittings."
Warm and cosy even in the midst of Storm Isha which lashed around our snug protected environment with the stove burning away. The most comfortable bed and pillows I have come across away from home in years and this was a perfect home all on one level for us with some mobility issues. Parking just yards from our front door and peace and birdsong everywhere - would be back if needed to be in the vicinity without any hesitation.
-
"We had a lovely stay over Christmas & New Year."
The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. However I would suggest that maybe a portable heater for the living room (for colder days) as the little electric heater in there doesn't really heat the room up if you haven't got the fire going, especially first thing in the morning. Very peaceful & quiet location but within easy reach of lots of amenities and with lots of lovely walks right on the doorstep. Thank you to Vicki & Jon for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage, would definitely come back.

"We needed a local property to stay at for a week in between moving out & moving into our new house, Swallows nest was a real home from home, we really appreciated the week to relax with the log burner roaring and the owners ensuring we had a plentiful supply of logs, the cottage had everything you could ask for, nice surprise treat of a bottle of beer & a small bottle of wine, milk left for us in the fridge, spotlessly clean."
We really felt at home. Thanks to the owners

"We had an amazing time, the cottage was lovely and cozy with great facilities and super comfortable."
Lovely walks around for the dogs, we loved it!
-
"We have just returned from a wonderful week in Swallow’s Nest."
A really cosy property, well equipped with all you need for a comfortable and restful break. Good walking can be found right from the doorstep which was great for our four legged VIP and once back she loved nothing more than curling up in front of a roaring log burner. Hosts Vicki and Jon were very accommodating and eager to ensure our stay was a memorable one. Swallow’s Nest is now very much on our list of favourites and we would definitely return if holidaying in the area again!
