• "Very comfy and cosy despite the gas fire not working."

  More cooking utensils and smaller ovenproof dishes needed as I cooked for myself every day. Nice garden well used by my two greyhounds. Alison is lovely. It was great to see the horses poke their heads out of the stables!

• "Locating this perfect holiday accommodation was just perfect, everything you needed for a pleasant stay."

  A great bonus on arriving early evening on a cold day to be greeted with the warmth of the cottage. This was a luxury and we immediately felt relaxed. Everything you needed was available. Alison was extremely pleasant and helpful accommodation clean, modern, comfortable and lovely soft towels. Yes it is rural which we wanted but access to town of Metheringham isn’t far and has several shops, pubs, takeaways etc. Spoilt for choice. We will of course book again in the near future. • "Millcott was everything we expected it to be."

  Comfortable, cosy and exceptionally clean. We loved Mr Ned, looking at us through his stable door. We would only say that due to it being November the conservatory was too cold for us to eat at the dining table, so maybe a heater of some sort could be positioned in there. Apart from that, it was perfect and for anyone staying there you won't be disappointed.

  Lovely comfy beds & great facilities. Surprised not to find a cafetier... ( only thing I missed). Lovely bonus for me was being near to horses!. Hosts very friendly. Nice walk around the fields & footpaths & great for travelling to both the coast and Lincoln.

  Cottage was lovely and well presented. Owner was very pleasant and sorted out a few issues we had promptly. Only drawback was the proximity of the road, which was only a few feet from my bedroom windows. So took a while to get to sleep. Beds were very comfortable so once asleep slept well.

  Quiet and peaceful setting. Owner friendly. responsive and attentive. Facilities great, everything needed to self cater, dish washer and washing machine appreciated. Hot tub a delight to sit under the stars at night. Great pubs near with good food and drink. I would definately recommend.

• "We enjoyed 3 nights at Millcott."

  The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. The garden is private and peaceful. No doubt the hot tub would be great but we did not use it. Thank you for the thoughtful welcome pack. That was a nice surprise. Millcott was ideally situated for us to visit family in the area, and easy to find. Our only slight concern was that the road noise disturbed my husband, who is a very light sleeper. I didn't notice it! I highly recommend this cottage.

• "From the first moment we stepped into the cottage we all felt at home and at ease."

  It is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Alison had left us a very generous welcome pack, very thoughtful lady. Everything you would need in the kitchen was on hand .The garden was fenced off so we knew our dog would be safe and happy. Our short break was based on us being able to relax and be comfortable see the local area and walk our dog, millcott ticked all our boxes and more. Lovely comfortable living space, spacious bedrooms and most importantly super clean very comfortable mattresses. There are tracks at the side of the cottage for walking which go on for miles, hardly see anyone, just enjoy the views and the peacefulness of the lincolnshire countryside. After a long walk relax in the family sized hot tub, listening to the birds by day and looking up to the stars by night. A truly memorable short break . There's also a lovely friendly pub up the road called the royal oak, the sunday dinner is amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Definately recommend a visit. All in all our stay at millcott was relaxing and very enjoyable we couldnt fault a thing, we will definately be booking again.

• "We were greeted with a good quality welcome pack of goodies on arrival."

  The cottage is lovely and spacious and ideal for 2 couples with the large ensuite bathrooms. The lounge is a great size with the rise and fall chair an excellent extra if someone has problems getting up and down out of a chair. The dining room in the conservatory has a lovely big table and chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with the dishwasher and washing machine and cooking facilities. It's a lovely area to stay, the local pub served excellent food and helpful staff and were extremely dog friendly. Alison the owner of the cottage was available and very helpful if we needed anything.

• "Had a lovely stay in this delightful cottage."

  All basic requirements were available and the hot tub was the added bonus! Set in the countryside and central to visiting many attractions and gorgeous walks. Bus timetable to Lincoln was good with the bus stop only 10 mins walk from cottage. Good food available in local pubs and can highly recommend Maharaaj in Metheringham, which we had delivered. Alison is lovely and only too helpful in making your stay enjoyable. Definitely will stay here again.

• "Millcott exceeded our expectations in every way, the write up does not do it justice."

  Lovely location with secure access and great allocated parking. A very rare find, this property is completely accessible, all on one level, super comfortable beds, spacious en-suites to both bedrooms, and all bedding really good quality. Every room equipped to a really good standard, garden completely secure for the dog too. Alison, completely on hand if anything needed and a delight to deal with. Incredible value for money, we will definitely return.

• "Loved Millcott but as oldies found the information provided to be confusing."

  Never used a keycase before and had to ask for assistance, so we got off to a bad start. The Wifi would not connect for any of our party, the hot tub registererd 43 degrees and was unusable. The shower worked on the first full day, but could only get cold water after that, was it another instruction we did not follow?. The owner was around but always very busy and not particularly friendly. We all felt a bit intimidated by her and did not report any problems, so the problem became ours. I am not attaching blame to Alison. It was our first holiday in over 10 years so disappointed in myself for not being brave enough to contact her. We had a lovely break in a beautiful area, and apart from these niggles, we were happy.

I always ask that people come to me with any issues they might have no matter how small - so that they can be addresssed promptly. I can only apologise you didn't feel comfortable enough to raise any queries you had so the these could have been resolved for you. • "Wonderful place for a relaxed holiday."

  Superb bungalow that is fully equipped and in excellent order. Alison the is the perfect owner, available if required but never intrusive . Lovely garden which overlooks the stables and paddocks , provides a relaxing base which is perfect for exploring the delights of this beautiful county. We would highly recommend spending some of your mornings at the nearby RAF bases at Waddington and Coningsby. Where you can watch close up the Red Arrows and Typhoon jets do their thing. The Royal Oak in the village provides excellent food and a relaxing place for an evening pint. We already are planning our return 5 stars from us

  Cannot understand how this property has a 4 tick rating. The £50 refund we received seemed inadequate for the many issues we had to raise.

• "Great stay at Millcott."

  Everything well presented and spotless! Alison was a perfect host who despite a broken foot was always cheery and welcoming. The garden was plenty big enough and fully enclosed for our two medium sized dogs to charge around in. Wi-Fi was great, but also games and a good selection of books are provided. The welcome pack was full of local delicious goodies that were great fully received! The new installed upgraded hot tub sadly was awaiting the electrician but Alison offered us the use of hers. Millcott is situated in gorgeous countryside but within walking distance to the local pub which also serves food. There are plenty of great walks directly from the door which Alison can point you in the right direction. We certainly wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend Millcott. • "Could not fault the efforts made by Alison who clearly goes the extra mile to ensure her clients holiday is a good and enjoyable experience."

  The quality of the furnishings is to a very high standard however personally I would add a single rise recline chair suitable for the elderly or infirm to have a snooze in and I would provide some dedicated cushions for the dining chairs as we used those from the lounge and were worried about spoiling them.

Sadly there was an issue in the area with the internet, which was a severed cable, which thankfully has now been resolved . Regarding the Lay Z Spa, there obviously was an issue, which I have now addressed and awaiting delivery of a hot tub. • "The property has been furnished to a high standard (eg, Miele and Bosch kitchen appliances) and tastefully decorated."

  It is spacious, very light, with two generous bedrooms, both en-suite (the large shower was particularly appreciated). The garden is pleasant with sturdy dining furniture, a delightful place for an evening G & T. We have been to many cottages in France and England, and this ranks among the best. Highly recommended.

  The property was spacious , clean and had everything we needed. The owner lived in the adjoining property and was very hospitable. There was a lovely hamper to greet us on our arrival full of goodies and essentials and there was even treats for our dog. A very nice touch. The property is conveniently located with Woodhall Spa , Lincoln , Belton House and various seaside resorts in close proximity. The local pub called the Royal Oak was exceptional and highly recommended especially the Sunday Roast and the Greek culinary. We I definitely be returning to this property.
