  • "We had a lovely stay and it was a great cottage, well equipped with a big well kept garden for the dog to run around in."

The only niggles were they could do with updating the sofas as the seating was quite uncomfortable and new pillows in the bedrooms as they were very thin and I ended up going out and buying my own. Perhaps a little TLC is needed with a lick of paint. This isn’t a criticism as we did really enjoy staying there and would definitely return.

Our dog is quite barky at many things but there wasn't anything for her to bark at! The immediate surrounding area is lovely and peaceful with not much traffic . We went on a nice 4 mile walk across the footpaths on the fields. Lincoln is only 25 minutes away by car and the cathedral is amazing. The only thing that could be improved in the cottage is the addition of streaming channels on the TV as we struggled to get freeview channels sometimes.

Do go to the horse rescue. The cottage was extremely well equiped, everything you could need in the kitchen, cot, highchair, buckets and spades, paddling pool. It was also really spacious. One breathes a sigh of relief after a long journey to be welcomed by a lovely clean, peaceful home. So quiet away from the main road. And cake! So thoughtful. You really feel cared for here. Everything works, appliances, switches etc. It's in the detail. We spoke with Mary who was nearby and she said she thought of how she would want things to be if she was staying somewhere, and it shows. I would love to come here again and highly recommend it to my friends who would treat it with respect and leave it as tidy as they found it. The garden is tiny dog safe too, my girls could not find a way out! Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

  • "The cottage was beautiful, comfortable and very well appointed."

The kitchen had a very good selection of utensils pots and pans so that made life very easy. However, (and this can't be changed!) the cottage is very isolated - the local pub is too far to walk and the local lanes and roads have no streetlighting so you can't even walk for a pint - be prepared to provide your own entertainment! On the plus side - the lack of street lights made for excellent opportunities to observe the night sky!

The coast is only an hour's drive away and there are lots of interesting small towns and villages within reasonable distance. Mary, the host, was very helpful and welcoming, happy to answer any questions. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. We had plenty of space for 5 of us spanning 3 generations, and spent much of our time in the common space, reading, cooking, playing games or enjoying the garden space. Pretty countryside all around, great for running or walks. Our only gripe was the occasionally patchy internet, not at all Mary’s fault - no broadband in the area. But we had enough access to manage. In short, a lovely, cozy, relaxing spot.

The cottage was immaculate on arrival and very spacious for 5 adults and a dog. There was even a lemon drizzle cake left by the owner which was lovely and much appreciated. Wragby has a well stocked Co-op and the butchers did nice cobs. The coast was about 40 minutes drive and Lincoln is worth a visit, the Park and Ride was handy. What a lovely place to stay. Nestled in farmland with far reaching views across the fields, a myriad of footpaths to explore yet only 8 mins drive to Wragby with a well stocked Co-op. The property itself was very clean and with plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils. The open kitchen/lounge area was cosy and sociable. The double bedroom downstairs was spacious and looked out onto the garden. Both twin rooms upstairs were lovely and a decent size and the upstairs shower room was a bonus - the shower is a little cosy but there is a bigger one in the family bathroom downstairs. The separate dining room was useful when relatives came for lunch. With 2 dogs, I loved the enclosed area bridging the property and its garage - really useful for storing muddy boots and drying paws! There is also a utility room at the rear of the garage. We all appreciated the homemade cupcakes on arrival! There was a handy box of information on things to do - can recommend Chambers Farm Wood. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this property and will definitely return. Frankly I’d like to live there!
