  • "We really enjoyed staying at The annexe at The Stables for a few days The property was immaculate and comfortable and was in a very peaceful location but was only a short drive from the town of Mablethorpe and the more attractive town of Louth which we enjoyed visiting."

The owners were very friendly and helpful with an excellent recommendation for the pub/restaurant The Waggon and Horses. The only slight fault we found was the remote for the TV sometimes worked and sometimes didn't Overall would highly recommend this cottage

  • "Brilliant accommodation with everything we needed for our friends weekend away."

Remote location and limited bus service but we had no problems getting out and about. Only thing that could have been better were the beds, as some of the rooms could do with new mattresses as you could feel the springs.

Beautifully clean , comfortable and well equipped cottage . Little problem with the hot water for showers but as the owners were only made aware of it the morning we arrived and was the Easter weekend we managed as well as we could and did not let it spoil our time there . Very peaceful and a lovely place to return to after busy days out .

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house with lots of space, owners are very nice too and took us round the property which has a high spec in fixtures and furnishings, showers only got warm at best, property needs a dishwasher and washing machine to take it to 5 stars but I would recommend staying and I would stay there again."

Gates need to be opened and closed every time you exit but gives you good sense of security.

  • "Lovely property, location and owner."

Perfect for what we needed. The property was clean and have all the amenities we needed. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Only negative would be that the beds weren’t the most comfortable in the world but they were ok for a short break. Overall would 100% recommend and we will be returning. Thank you

  • "A great property, very clean and comfortable."

Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. However: There wasn’t anywhere to hang damp towels or clothing could do with towel rails in the bathrooms and a couple of clothes horses. There is no washing machine which we missed when booking. It would useful if this is highlighted in the booking details. Written instructions on how the heating controls work would be a help. The hot water temperature was also a bit temperamental but we managed. Showers worked best when the heating was on. Overall an excellent stay with the full range of British weather.

  • "The Stables is a lovely property to stay at for a little break."

The place was very clean, spacious and comfortable. However, I must be honest and say there were a few “niggles”! Firstly, the water in all the showers never really got hot enough for a proper shower. Secondly, and unfortunately so, we don’t expect to be told that there is plenty of parking for 3 cars, only to the be told on arrival that one of them would have to be out of the way by 9am each morning! Similarly, while we have no issue closing driveway gates each time we entered or left the property, when the owner comes out and consistently closes them when one of our other cars is going to be leaving/arriving in 5 minutes or so, that feels a little over the top for guests enjoying a break. So while the property is very nice, a few adjustments would likely improve stays for larger parties. Many thanks for your hospitality!

Well situated just a short drive (or longish walk) away from a lovely beach at Mablethorpe. Also well placed to visit other parts of Lincolnshire. Wifi was excellent, Sky TV in the lounge was a bonus and generally a lovely space to spend a week with family.
