  • "Beautiful location the lodge was done to a high standard, however we did feel for luxury collection property ot lacked in items like pillow protection, kitchen roll, welcome basket it helps to make guests feel welcome after long drive we never stayed in a luxury lodge that hasn't had everything we needed to start our holiday their was just nothing which let it down, also towels for bathing were very small on a positive side it's beautiful tranquil setting, we had foxes ,rabbits around which was lovley ,quality furnishings throughout the property."

Newark is 5 minutes away by car you will find lots of supermarkets and shops here ,I feel that the owners need to put a sign up at gates of property so people can see where it is .we feel that if this property offers a welcome pack it would have got a 5 star as we were very tiered upon arrival late at night no milk in fridge, no bread ect was only let down ,we would like to thank the owners for changing pillows and letting our son see horses thankyou angie.

Thank you for your kind feedback, Kind regards, Jane Property Owner

  • "The lodge was spotlessly clean and modern and nicely furnished."

Perhaps, for comfort, the provision of trays would give an alternative to the rather uncomfortable bar stools at the breakfast bar. The lodge is on a peaceful farm and near a bus-stop making it easy to get into Newark (or walk if you have an hour to spare). The Lord Nelson in the village is very welcoming and serves good food.

Thank you for your kind feedback, we look forward to seeing you again, Many thanks Jane Property Owner

  • "A beautiful lodge set in a relaxing location."

Cedar lodge was like a home from home - we had all we needed for our stay and felt very comfortable. The views from the lodge are gorgeous, and the location is spot on. The lodge itself is clean, bright and inviting with a cosy feel. We hope to come again soon, thank you.

Thank you for your super positive feedback, we hope to see you again soon. Many thanks Jane Property Owner

  • "Could not access `normal` TV."

That is BB1, 2, ITV etc on the property TV in the lounge. The property owner came to help but she could not access it either. We could access `pay to view` channels but we wanted normal TV. Perhaps mentioning this in the property description would be a good idea. Everything else went really well.

It was nice to meet you all, sorry you were unable to get 'normal' tv, we do have All of the regular channels on catch up such as BBC iplayer and lots of Freeview channels I am glad everything else went really well for you, and hope you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes Jane Property Owner

A quiet retreat, just outside Newark. Ideal if you are in the area for PFI or any of the shows that occur each year. Owners instructions for directions and access were clear and precise. Recommended.

  • "Overall great stay, but lodge was really hot without any heating on and not sure will be great in summer Woukd have been better with heating/ air con from air heat pump."

Also limited cups, just 4 not ideal when dishwasher, so we bought extracted cups to save washing up each time. Gate access code was not great when raining, shoukd be placed so accessible from drivers window.

Thank you so much for your feedback, we are so pleased to hear you had a great stay, and more cups have been added :) thank you, Jane & Jeremy Property Owner
