"We had an enjoyable stay here and the location is perfect."
We felt that some small touches could improve the score, like providing extra bin bags, washing up liquid and toilet rolls. Cleanliness could have been slightly better, but overall it was clean. We had to leave on the Thursday as to be out for 9.30am on the Friday would have been a rush, and you don't want to be rushing around on your holidays. Overall a comfortable apartment, and an enjoyable stay.

"Overall, an excellent place to stay and a perfect location for what we wanted to do (Aberdovey beach and Cadair Idris)."
The house was clean and as advertised. A few minor points could do with improvement though. 1. No spare loo roll!! 2. The oven hob knobs need replacing as the numbers have all rubbed off. 3. The bunk beds move and squeak when the occupants turn over etc. which meant our two boys didn’t get the best night sleep - we could hear the squeaking in our room too!! 4. More of a personal preference, the mattress on the double bed in the garden room was very soft and springy and no good if you suffer from a bad back like I do. That said, we had a great weekend and the place was suitable for our needs for a short break (2 adults and 3 teenage boys). A ‘welcome pack’ of goodies, like we’ve had in previous Sykes Cottages, would have been a nice touch! So, a few areas for improvement (given the price!), but on the whole an enjoyable weekend!

"The cottage was just an okay condition."
It was not up to standard what I paid for. It said 8 people sleep and there was sofa bed in living room but there was not a sofa bed either duvet, to be honest there were some spare pillows. When I checked in, it was already late and I had to sleep with my jacket first night on the sofa, I called the other day and asked them to bring a duvet. Location: think about location, it is not that convenient place, we just finished in one day to visit all area there and we have to drive away at least 1-2 hours to see the other places.

"The cottage was well equipped it had a lovely view."
The balcony was not welcoming ,the decking was grotty and a small table was unusable as it was completely rusty and a hazard for children. The beds were not comfortable. The next door cottage was being refurbished and from 8 o’clock the one morning they were drilling the party wall.In fairness the workmen had told us but we had no choice but to listen. We left on the Thursday night as 9.30 in the morning would have been impossible.

"An ideal holiday home with the added bonus of being able to sit out on the balcony overlooking the golf course."
House is in an ideal location, being just out of the hustle bustle and yet within easy access, either on foot or in car, to Aberdovey.

"Lovely views."
So disappointed with property. Greeted by greasy cooking smell. It needs a complete refurb. Carpets, settees, kitchen and appliances all need a deep clean or better still replacing! The only comfortable seats are on the balcony! Recycling needs sorting(none) Get some recycling bins!!

"We had a very enjoyable week."
We were very lucky with the weather which meant that we were able to spend a lot of time at the beaches nearby. There is a short walk over the level crossing and across the golf course to the sand dunes and the beach. We often did this on an evening but beaches with carpark facilities were close in either direction. The scenery in the area is amazing We had days out on the steam railway and the miniature railway and also visited King Arthur's Labyrinth. The children (and adults) enjoyed crabbing in Aberdovey when the tide was in. The cottage was comfortable and adequately equipped for a family group. We would love to go back one day but I'm sure we would have to be very lucky to enjoy the same beautiful weather again.

"A lovely upside down house with balcony views over the golf course and dunes towards the sea and town."
We had a very comfortable long weekend and were able to watch the jubilee firework display on the beach from our balcony. About 10 mins walk to the seafront and a well stocked shop /PO on the way. The beach is absolutely stunning with toilets , fish and chip shop ,cafes and icecream shop on the front. Perfect for a family holiday. There is a spacious carpark on the front if you need to transport beach gear and children and prefer not to walk.

"On the whole we had a great stay."
The house was very comfortable for the six of us. It was a bit disappointing that the oven wasn't working which did impact some of our cooking.

"Lovely house."
Great views from first floor lounge. Slept well. Enjoyed Aberdyfi. Two minor criticisms. 1) An anti-slip bath mat would have been useful/safer. 2) Windows needed cleaning.

"Must be a great stay because l think it’s the sixth time we have been"

"The holiday cottage was certainly well appointed with every comfort ."
I have however two criticisms. Firttly we could not get the grill to work on the cooker. A neighbour came round to try to get it to heat up but without success. All the grill would do was warm up slightly. This made it very difficult to cook our bacon and sausage full English breakfas,t an integral part of our holiday. Secondly we had great difficulty in switching on the television. The owner's daughter referred us to the TV handbook in a kitchen drawer but it was too complicated to understand. Again our helpful neighbour came over and after various attempts pulled out one of the two aerial plugs and the TV automatically came on. Success at last !!!!!!!!!

"Great time had by all at this fabulous upside down house."
Facilities were fantastic we didn't want for anything. Location is perfect if you don't want to use the car beach, shops, pubs and train station a short walk away.

"A fabulous week."
Loved the cottage:So pretty and we'll equipped. We were very comfortable and fell in love with Aberdovey. We intend to return. No problems at all. And the flapjack and rocky road cakes waiting for us on arrival were a lovely welcoming touch.

"Nearly All was perfect for the family."
Just third bedroom was rather limiting for space.
