  • "We had a fabulous long weekend at Arenig."

As ever, Beatrice was extremely welcoming and the apartment was prepared to its usual high standard. The weather was kind so I was able to swim in the lake every day (twice, most days!), which meant I definitely made the most of the wonderful whirlpool bath for long hot soaks when I came back shivering... We'll be back next year to enjoy the excellent facilities and superb location once again. Really appreciate all the welcoming touches in the apartment as well - especially hot chocolate when it's chilly!

  • "We had a very peaceful stay made more interesting by the RAF flypasts and a chinook trying to dip its wheels in the water of the lake."

The owner greeted us on arrival and made us very welcome. The apartment is very well maintained and accessible. The area is spectacular and the Bala Lake Railway which runs only a few yards from the apartment is well worth a visit.

The view over the lake from our balcony was breathtaking. As there is no hob on which to cook a little bit of forward planning is needed if you intend to eat in. All other equipment is provided. The jacuzzi bath is fantastic, everything was spotless and The host Bernice was lovely and friendly.

  • "A fabulous stay in a lovely location, with the apartment even better than on previous occasions."

Really appreciate the welcoming touches provided by Beatrice, the host; tea, coffee, milk and biscuits mean you can unpack before stocking up on groceries! The spa-type bath is a wonderful place to soak after a swim in the lake; on this trip in May I managed six separate swims during our long weekend - access to the lake is really easy form the building. Oodles of hot water; big fluffy towels: brilliant. The gardens are looking great - the lakefront is now a quietly secluded spot to find some peace in nature, among the trees. The apartment itself is very well furnished, extremely comfortable, good quality fittings, duvets, pillows, sofa etc. Cleaned and presented to a very high standard. We had such a great time that we'll be back again in the autumn!
