Hut is so comfy , clean and the enclosed garden perfect for our 2 dogs. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Only thing I would say is the description on the listing implied you were isolated and the only hut but there are other huts around. However, this did not affect our stay as it was very quiet

Bathroom radiator didn't work so freezing bathroom. Outside lights didn't work so dangerous walking outside at night Hot tub had too many chemicals in and ruined clothing Freezer didn't work and food defrosted Cooker was useless. Took nearly two hours to cook a 30 min meal. There was no starter pack or fuel for log burner. Such a disappointing trip as the hut itself and location looked amazing but just wasn't up to spec. Definitely not worth the £490 price tag

We did phone some one and said will replace later but still 3 days later still no one come . There was no instructions on how to use oven / microwave. Because all the print on dials were rubbed off .

Thank you for your feedback. The toaster was faulty so we have not replaced that. Unfortunately, crockery does get damaged but there are plenty of others available to use. No one has had an issue with how to use the oven or microwave but we will look into getting some instructions for future guests. Once again thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "Stunning view and property."

Teddy our dog is a bigger dog and had lots of room to run around and even sleep. Loved the gated area didn’t have to worry about him running off. Felt safe and secure at all times. The jacuzzi was lovely and very clean even had a lovely privacy from the back huts. The bed was super comfy I wanted to take it home. All was as describe and was not disappointed. We would defiantly stay again just without the dog as there is not to much open space to walk him apart from walking on a main road. Cons: Couldn’t read the markings on the top appliance so couldn’t use it really. We bought disposable bbqs more so for ease and the bbq there was not looking it’s best. But we still managed to have two lovely bbqs. I think with it having such a large deck area maybe a nice little seating area would nice and not just the metal chair and table. Overall stay was amazing and would defiantly recommend which I have done to two friends already.

There wasn’t a lot of storage but there was room under the bed for extra bits that couldn’t be put away. My only concern was that we went to use the microwave/grill one night and all the buttons were rubbed off and the timer on the top was hard to read as some of the lights weren’t working, so we couldn’t use it. Apart from that our stay was lovely.

However, the address was wrong on the listing so we ended up at a lady’s house who says it happens fairly often. The mattress was uncomfortable with springs going in to our back whilst trying to sleep. Both mornings, it sounded like shots going off, which was very early too.

The secure garden is great for a peace of mind for your dogs. The hut had good facilities, and the hot tub was at perfect temperature. The views were great! There were a couple of things which could be improved on such as the mattress was rather uncomfortable (springs poking in you) and it took us 30 minutes to find the place in the dark due to the poor instructions. Unfortunately we weren't provided with any wood for the burner as well. Having said that we would come back... in summer!

The hut was super cosy and perfect for our dog. The hut was secured by fencing and so we could allow our dog to have free reign which was nice. The only issue we did have was finding the place, it isn't signposted and the directions given weren't overly helpful.

Beautiful views. Would have liked some coat hangers for the small wardrobe area. A welcome pack with some instruction manuals mite be helpful especially for the microwave oven. Shower pressure was very weak even when turned up. These are all minor issues to us thought we had a fab stay and would deffo stay again.

  • "We had a fantastic stay what a gem of a place."

! The views and setting are stunning. So relaxing and was the R&R we needed. Our fave part was the hot tub, really had the wow factor watching the sunset over the rolling hills while chilling in it after a long day exploring. We loved also spending the eve with a fire outside and stargazing. Our dogs loved the outdoor space and it was nice having an enclosed fence for them to be let off in the garden too. Inside the hut itself was so cosy and warm and has all the basics you need. Thought it was really lovely having little touches like the tea/coffee/sugar/ milk and the waffles (which were lush btw) owners have really thought about it and was appreciated. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps to include some instructions with the oven as we hadn't used one like this before but honestly apart from this everything was just perfect, thank you so much for a beautiful stay we can't wait to come back. : )

We left a message on the phone which was never returned so for the whole stay we had no hot water in the kitchen. On the morning that we were leaving there was no electricity at all it just went off, as we were leaving we didn't bother to notify anyone as we had no response to our earlier call. • "Lovely cosy shepherd's hut where the owners have thought about everything."

We stayed in November and had snow but the hut remained warm and cosy with the log burner and the fantastic hot tub. We are two adults and a large boxer dog and managed just fine. Everything was spotless. There isn't much room for storage (there is a small area with hangers which we didn't expect) but we left things in the car and our small bags went under the bed. There are hooks for dressing gowns and coats near the door and back of bathroom door. Great size shower. Sheep are in the fields next to the garden which our dog is fine with but some dogs may not be so to be made aware of. Looks like they are building another hut next to Ivys but the distance is great and the shrubs and fencing still give you privacy and seclusion. You need to go into Rhayader for supplies/pubs and there are limited off lead dog walks in the area just due to the vast amount of farms and cattle. Would highly recommend this hut for peace and a chill out whilst looking at the amazing views and red kites flying overhead. The owner is helpful and at the end of the phone if you need her.
