  • "We had a wonderful stay and we would return as the view from the lodge was spectacular."

It would have been nice to have had a welcome pack on arrival as we arrived late evening. Also a hair dryer would be useful. The lodge itself was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable, the hot tub was wonderful and we would recommend to friends and family. The only downside for us was that you couldn’t walk far or into the village due to the farmland and narrow lanes.

Thanks for your lovely feedback. We will take into consideration a welcome pack for the future. Thanks Property Owner

  • "Stunning cabin situated in equally beautiful and tranquil surroundings."

Easy key collection/drop off although in the dark, locating cabins is challenging as their numbers aren't visible. My only criticism/disappointment, considering I specifically wanted a hot tub at our chosen accommodation, was in fact the hot tub. It was more like a hot bath as bubbles were non existent, just a few light jets on the back rest of only 2 of the seats

Thanks for your lovely feedback, we're glad you liked the key collection. Yes we have since fixed the lights around the park. In regards to the hot tub, you should've let us know and we would've sorted for you. We hope to see you in the future. Property Owner

  • "TV Freesat not available for 3 days i."

    E. from arrival Friday to end Monday. Also Wifi speeds dire, at one point I was down to 3 kbps, barely enough to open an app, certainly not enough to stream anything. We were told that 6 Mbps was "the norm for round here". Stairs to property a bit wobbly, also the balcony railing (all wood) but could easily be fixed. No manuals for oven or microwave provided. More crockery is needed e.g. small plates and more bowls, we ran out of clean crockery quite often. Ditto cutlery. Roads around the property were also bad, full of ruts and loose gravel. There was nothing in either bathroom to store personal belongings i.e. no shelves or hooks, everything had to be put on the floor. The hooks on the back of the doors were a long way up and practically out of reach for someone of 5' 3".

Thanks for your feedback. TV signal was down and we sorted as soon as we could. In regards to the WIFI, we do not have fibre optic and have not had any other complaints about the speed of the WIFI. Balcony railings are checked regularly and so everything is safe. The oven and microwave are easy to use, but appreciate we could put the manual in the lodge. There is enough crockery for the amount of people the lodge is meant to house and a dishwasher is provided. There is space in the bathroom to store belongings, it's behind mirror. We appreciate your feedback. Thanks Property Owner

  • "Our whole trip was an amazing one, we were pleasantly surprised at what was available in the area to do, we visited the dam, swam in the river near river side cafe then ate a delicious meal there after and visited the red kite centre."

The trip was however made even more special by the amazing accommodation we could go back to. The lodge was perfect for our family of 4 and even our 2 dogs loved the space they had available. Ny daughter loved getting up in the morning and going to buy the fresh eggs that were around the area. The views from all the lodges was breathtaking and the little walk up to the top of the hill was worth it as it extended the views 10 fold. The accommodation wasn't 10/10 if you are picky about these things the property could benefit from some little tweeks here and there (hot tub head rests and jets) some slats on the single beds needed repairing BUT non of this ruined or even hindered our experience. Honestly its one of the best trips we've ever had as a family and we have gone away around 4x a year for 13 years. I am already booking another trip here as we loved it so much. Thank you for giving us these memories and we can not wait to come back and make more

Thank you so much for your thorough feedback. Amazing news to hear you are returning back to us, your constructive feedback is always noted and any improvements that we can make to increase the experience for our customers is a top priority. Thank you again for staying with us. Property Owner

  • "A lovely lodge with all of the facilities you could need."

Hot tub a little dated and damaged on the outside but it didn’t make a difference to the use of it. Hot tub was ready to use on arrival, it kept losing heat quickly but again not too much of an issue. The lodge was very spacious, light and airy! The only very small problem is when I stripped the bed on the last day, the mattress protector wasn’t very clean and had lots of little hairs, but to be honest the fresh sheet put over was lovely and thick we didn’t notice! WiFi was hit and miss too which was a shame as there’s very little phone signal there. I do wish there was some kind of privacy screen next to the hot tub as both parties next door kept looking over Overall though a lovely place and we’d definitely come back.

Thank you for this feedback. We have changed the part on the hot tub that was making it losing heat. We will certainly take your comments into consideration. Property Owner

  • "Where to start ."

.. As a family this was our first stay in Wales on arrival hot tub was ready to use, the lodge was clean and cosy, the photos of the lodge do not do this place justice it was absolutely beautiful. The view from the lodge is phenomenal and if you are up for walking/site seeing its a must however if you also just want to relax this is also possible the only down side was the WiFi connection was very poor hit and miss for it working but that didnt change our view on the lodge we as a family would definitely recommended and would gladly return.

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry about the WIFI, it has been solved now. Hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

We used it on Saturday evening , it’s warm but not Sunday evening, we did covered the hot tub properly after used on Saturday, we could not get any other reason the hot tub lost temperature, so we tried to call the number but no answer. It was a sunny evening, we’ve planned to enjoy the sunset in the hot tub as we always did, a bit disappointed but I still have to say that we have had a good time and enjoy the rest in the lodge no.12. • "The lodges are well equipped, and spotlessly clean."

The staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. I have just returned from a week there and already looking to book a short break later in the year there. If you are looking for entertainment then you will be disappointed. But the views are outstanding and the hot tub is amazing. I wanted a quiet relaxing holiday and that is exactly what I got. The site is very quiet. I find this place by chance last year when my mother in law and myself were exhausted and needed a break. We booked for the summer before we had even left. It is an amazing place and we will definitely be a regular there in future.

  • "Loved how easy it was to collect the key from the small reception area - with no human contact during COVID-19."

Very pleasantly surprised at the facilities of the cabin and VERY well equipped kitchen. Supplied dish detergent, dishwasher tablets, scourer, counter cloth and bin bags was a nice touch. Everything was immaculate. No issues with cleanliness - absolutely spotless. The hot tub, well, it just made our break. AWESOME! Few minor points were, we arrived at 6pm on a cold November night. It was pitch black, and we couldn't see the number on the cabin to see if we had the right one, and the decked steps leading up to the cabin itself were not lit. This, coupled with the fact that the decking was super slippery, made this quite a challenge with all our bags, a kitten and a child! There also seems to be a problem with feral cats, who come for the warmth of the hot tub cover, and to see what pickings they can get from the residents. At one point we had 10 cats on the decking! But they are not aggressive, and generally did not give us too much cause for concern. Another slight issue was the single bed my husband (nearly 18 stone) slept on, had damaged slats, which 'popped' off during the night. A bit of a pain having to replace them every morning. Just minor points though, as overall we had a fantastic stay, and will definitely recommend.
