Our 4th stay here but was a little disappointed this time as work was going on opposite all week but this won't put us off will be staying again in the new year regards Mike and Carol

  • "We have stayed in a few different caravans in this area and this one is definitely one of the best spots, especially with the wonderful view."

Unfortunately, it was spoiled by the fact that the bedding either had not been washed or had been left damp and it smelled very unpleasant. We were also informed, just before we left, that the check in time had changed so we couldn't get into the caravan until 4pm which more or less meant we had lost a day.

  • "Overall lovely views out of the lounge and kitchen windows."

Easy to find caravan from instructions given. The glaring obvious thing was no way for us to access the key safe even though we rang Sykes for assistance. It took for us to read another persons review to know where the keysafe was as Parkdean could not assist as private let. Not very happy with this. There was no gas fire as listed. The private outdoor space with picnic bench very unkempt, didn’t use once because it’s so overgrown. Several days of our holiday were dominated by diggers and other maintenance crew prepping the site next to 26 and the one opposite too. One of the days we could not even park and when we did there was all sorts of debris that we had to move ourselves from the drive.

  • "Despite the rain we made the most of our stay."

The caravan was clean, comfy and well stocked with utensils etc. In four days we managed to fit in exploring Borth, New Quay, Aberaeron, Tywyn, Aberdyfi and Machynlleth. We went on the Tal y Llyn railway one day which was pleasant. A few little sticking points (literally!). The front door has dropped and it’s difficult to open/close. The upper seating area has no view (as it showed in the pictures) and the area needs cutting back. There was no welcome pack on arrival which we’ve never experienced before with Sykes. A cup of tea/coffee and a biscuit would have been appreciated after a long journey.

  • "Very nice ,comfortable holiday home, can't fault it really as everything one needs is there."

We did panic a bit on arrival as couldn't find the keysafe , looked all round , even phoned Sykes, then noticed it siting on a post in some greenery behind the van, so if you do hire for your holiday do look on the wall behind. The van is sited with a lovely view over Borth and the sea, but bear in mind that a fairly steep climb is required to reach it, we are mid 70s and managed o.k. and hope to stay again someday ! Finally , can I thank Janette for providing a lovely holiday home, we both had a really enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you had a good stay and look forward to you staying again. Yes there is a steep hill and it is mentioned in the description but to get the views and quiet part of the park I had to get the location right Property Owner

  • "Well placed caravan , higher in the park and away from the noise ."

Very clean and tidy on arrival . Only 3 medium towels provided for a week so you’ll need to bring some more towels , also there were no tea towels . Pre occupancy checks not brilliant , the blinds over the kitchen area window were broken and missing as was the half lace curtain at the front , both were not major jobs to rectify , but we’re just chucked in the lounge unit .

  • "We all loved our stay on this holiday home , 4 adults 2 children , the decking had a gate so safe for the little one , the parking ample for two cars , the private seating area stunning ."

And the view omg the view we could see the sea hear the sea , went to sleep listening to waves . The position up the top of the site was perfect I’ll gladly book again in this home . It was immaculate inside , games to play , plenty of room for our clothes . We made one of the single beds together to make another double so all slept well , I can not thank the owners enough for hiring us there home . Thank you

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it and will book again. Property Owner

  • "I see there has been comments on how steep the walk is from the facilities to the caravan."

To be honest it’s not that far! The caravan is situated up a hill for the great views. There’s a great little seating area up some small steps near the caravan that have incredible views. I would rather be up the hill with the views than down near the facilities with the noise! Lovely clean place with everything you need. Well recommended.

Thank you for your comments. We chose that plot for the views and the peace and quiet even when there are lots of people on site. Property Owner

  • "Too small. There were 4 adults and 1 small child but storage was a big issue."

Not enough clothes space and nowhere at all to hang wet coats or put shoes. A small single wardrobe in the main double bedroom was barely enough and the other twin rooms fared no better. The fridge/freezer was way too small, tiny. The living area seating was not comfortable and the dining area not big enough for six. Crockery, cutlery and equipment were plentiful and everywhere was clean. The view from the garden area was lovely.

  • "The caravan was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed, I just couldn't get the heating to work and of course some nights are chilly."

The only negative is that the caravan is situated on a very steep hill and not suitable for persons with mobility issues if wanting a little ramble to the facilities, I managed it once and am fairly fit, It was the car after that! But very comfortable accommodation with good views.

Thank you for booking my caravan. It does state that it is set on a hill in the description hence the reason of the view from the site location. I am always available to to talk through any queries such as setting the boiler and there are instructions on the boiler. I hope that you will still consider using us again in the future. • "The caravan was beautiful, lovely and clean with everything you need in it."

Our problem was the distance it was from the site facilities, and it being up the hill. My daughter has difficulties walking difficulties so we had to use the car all the time, it would be impossible to walk back from the shop etc for us. In view of this I think it should be stated in the advertisement for the caravan. As I said, the caravan was all you could wish for, but for us it was situated in the wrong place. I would otherwise highly recommend it, the views from the van were beautiful
