  • "Great place!"

Looks exactly as shown. Brilliant to have the extras added from host, really exceptional. Very clean and tidy. Fantastic view, beautiful place to stay. Well worth having a spa treatment too as we really liked ours. Would return again.

Fabulous sheep watching over us during our stay. Luxurious hot tub and awesome BBQ. Would be helpful if there was an outdoor drying maiden of some sort to hang swimwear and towels post hot-tub.

  • "We had an amazing little getaway in the "hobbit hut" / "teletubbie house" for my birthday (Derwen) The pictures of this property do not do it justice!"

Finished to a very modern and high standard, with a functional kitchen that has the basic equipment required. Upon our arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, welsh cakes, milk, eggs and steaming hot tub. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of our trip after alot of walking and sightseeing. Book in advance for a massage with Leah at the spa. A very relaxing experience Yes, the bench sofa isn't the most comfortable but I think it encourages you to go out and enjoy the welsh countryside. The hot water in the shower doesnt last as long as we are use to so have shorter showers. A very peaceful and quiet location. You can see for miles and on a clear night (we didn't get one) maybe see the stars. We will definitely be returning but instead will book the neighbouring hut (Onnen) which is more suited for couples. In responce to a previous review: no birds, no mice, a working fridge and no smoke or smell after cooking.

Such peace and quiet. The pod has everything anyone can ask for. It's magical and the views are just breathtaking. The little welcome presents of fresh eggs, Welsh cakes and wine were a lovely surprise. The hot tub and the optional Spa treatments by Leah are a very nice bonus :-) Absolutely loved the place! Thanks to the lovely and welcoming hosts. I am hoping to come back again! :-)

  • "Faulty fridge ,froze all our food we brought and the birthday cake for my partner ."

Broken bbq, totally unusable which ruined all our birthday plans and had to go eat out and pay more money ,no way you could cook a decent meal in there as the smoke ans smell in such a confined space, and if you left door open birds flew in also some fridge mice Very uncomfortable seating area inside like a bench, no way you can sit and relax .,suitable for a nights stay but not the 4 night we booked as we had to go lay on the beds Paid a lot of money for facilities that were advertised but didn't work, would not compensate for the bbq which was basically the reason we booked

  • "Fabulous place."

Exactly as described and really done to a high quality spec. The hot tub was hot on arrival and exactly what we needed when we arrived. The coordinates that were shared on another review we used to locate the cottage and they were spot on. Absolutely don’t use the postcode, instructions or coordinates only! Our only slight feedback is the seating area which a few people have mentioned before. Great size and perfect for coffee but would suggest not so much for lounging. We went in February so evenings were about being indoors and cosy so noticed the seating then. Maybe a footstool (swapping the gorgeous coffee table) that could be pulled up against the sofa might help? Saying that I’m sure in the summer with doors open, you’d be far less concerned and outside anyway. Brilliant stay and our children now want to live in “the fairy house”. Thank you.

It was such a magical stay, the kids absolutely loved it. The place is perfect for nature lovers. One morning we even woke up to a rabbit just outside our little window. And, just to add that bit of extra special, there’s a hot tub. Nothing like relaxing in bubbly warm water with those stunning views. I would 10/10 recommend this. I’ve already told all my friends and am planning when we can next come back.

Kitchen utensils made it very easy to find everything we needed. The sofa isn’t the most comfortable but I understand the use restrictions. Loved finding the board games. USB charging points would be useful. The hot tub was not heated on our arrival so we could not use it on the first day which was very disappointing as this was a strong reason for our choice here.

Done out to a very high standard, lovely workmanship within the accommodation. Everything they’re needed for a short stay. Hot tub was clean and hot every day which was a plus. Lovely and peaceful area and only 40 mins from Shrewsbury and powys castle which was beautiful. The only fault really was we wanted to book a hot stone massage but we’re told that we couldn’t have one as there was not availability. When in the welcome pack it stated to contact and it would be accommodated. Apart from that lovely stay highly recommend

Gorgeous spa treatment too. Unfortunately we had to leave a night earlier than what we had booked as both got bit (a lot!) either in the house at night, we had to have the windows open or while in the hot tub. Would be a good idea to provide fans in the hot weather and some sort of insect or fly repellent as there were a lot.

  • "Firstly, this property is absolutely beautiful and a lot of thought has been put in to make it comfortable."

We had a fantastic stay, the location is great for exploring and I would highly recommend to future bookers. There were only a couple of small recommendations I would make: some of the seating wasn’t the most comfortable to sit on, especially outside so may some cushions for these. The sliding doors caused a small issue on the first day when one got stuck on the runner and they can’t be opened properly from the inside as there’s no decent handle. The only downside of the holiday was the fact that I contacted the spa operator the week before to book a full body massage for me and my partner. They didn’t reply to any of my messages, despite having read them, and then when they finally responded (the day we arrived) they booked us for the wrong treatment which they only realised a few hours before it was due to take place. This was very disappointing and we decided not to go ahead with it, as it wasn’t what we had asked for. I would suggest a bit more contact when booking these things in future.

Leah was the best host keeping me constantly updated in regards to weather and access to the back road to the pod! Arrival was seamless with access to the key box and a bottle of fizz and Welsh cakes! Folder provided with all information on devices and even places to visit and take away services! Massages were a dream and we made the most of the hot tub in the snow! The only niggle was that the showers do not stay hot for longer than a few minutes and the sink in the bathroom closest to the kitchen did leak under the basin. Thank you so much I would definitely visit again!
