Sustonica, the first global sustainability standard for holiday lets.
Our aim is to create lasting holiday memories and we intend to do so both responsibly and sustainably.
To deliver on this we've set out a number of environmental and social pledges which help to focus our efforts;
you can read more about them in our Impact Report.
This is why we've partnered with Sustonica, the first global certification for holiday lets,
to support our owners to be more sustainable.
The Sustonica certification focuses on four key areas: energy conservation, water conservation,
waste reduction and promoting inclusiveness. They are on a mission to become the most widely
recognised sustainability standard for holiday rentals and a catalyst to reduce emissions of holiday
lets and influence guests to reduce their own household consumption too.
Properties that display the Sustonica badge have successfully passed the criteria,
which align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards,
and their owner has made a commitment to look after our planet as well as you.

We have been going to apartments like this for a long time now but have to say this is by far the best. Big bonus is the owners, Helen and Rob, lovely people and happy to help with anything you may need.

"Rose Villa is a lovely property, it was really comfortable and clean."
The shower is quite quirky as the taps are outside the cubicle but it was fine, we got used to it. I was pleased to see the bed had been moved to a more central position away from the wall. The weather was awful but the storage heater in the living room soon took the chill off. It's attached to the owners property who were also lovely and very welcoming and Tess their dog is gorgeous. There's a fantastic pub, The Bradford Arms, a lovely 20 min walk down the canal. Definitely recommend this property.

How fortunate to have such scenic walks right on the doorstep and so many places to visit just a short drive away. The annexe itself was well equipped, cosy and homely - lovely to come back to at the end of each day and recharge the batteries. We look forward to returning again once we have the opportunity.

We have stayed with Rob and Helen before and we have become firm friends. The view from the living room is over their lambs so relaxing when you get up in the morning. Plus Tess the (trainee) sheepdog gives endless fun. In the summer you can buy their bees honey.
Walking the towpath of the Montgomery canal along with the footpath at the villa to the Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve is recommended. Lake Vyrnwy is a spectacular reservoir that is well worth a visit. to walk, cycle or drive around

Beautiful surroundings and a large, immaculate garden. Proprietors friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The accommodation is spacious, very comfortable, and generally very well equipped. Where you’ll be staying
LLANYMYNECH
Llandrinio 4.3 miles. Owestry 7 miles.
Llanymynech is a village straddling the border between Montgomeryshire/Powys, Wales, and Shropshire, England, about nine miles north of the Welsh town of Welshpool. The village is on the banks of the river Vyrnwy, and the Montgomery Canal passes through it. The border runs for the most part down the centre of the village's main street, with the eastern half of the village in England and the western half in Wales. Bound by the River Vyrnwy to the south and enormous limestone cliffs to the north. The cliffs are the quarried face of Llanymynech Hill, and the views from the top are magnificent. Approximately 17 miles away is the historic town of Shrewsbury, certainly worth a visit all year round.
Dogs to be kept on tiled flooring at all times and kennels are provided if needed.
