  • "Mattress on master bed too hard so didn’t sleep well."

Apart from that cottage is very well equipped. Instruction leaflet was tucked away in a kitchen drawer, might be better on display. Lovely views from cottage, nice walks nearby. I don’t know if the fields either side of the drive belong to the owner but there is barbed wire along the bottom of the fence hidden in the grass - our dog nearly got her face/eyes in it when sniffing in the grass the first time we walked her.

Had everything we needed, even a proper sized toaster. 5 min walk to local shop. 10mins walk to local train station. Scenic train journeys up and down coast. Nice local beach. Enough lanes and footpaths for some cycling and walking. We enjoyed our stay.

The kitchen, especially, was a joy. The welcome cake and wine were very welcome! A minor quibble was the lack of a mirror in the small, but perfectly formed en suite. The house’s location was perfect for exploring the area and the neighbouring sheep and cattle were very friendly!

  • "Overall we had a nice time and the house was very clean and well equipped."

The upstairs space was good for 2 families. The beds were a bit hard. It was good to have an en-suite as extra bathroom but it is very small. (The soap dispenser leaks btw) Downstairs lounge was quite small and has been swapped round versus the pictures so that the dining table is in the larger room. So it was a bit snug for 4 adults and 2 children. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped. Outside space was nice but sadly couldn’t really use due to weather. The views are lovely however and you can see the sea. Overall a good stay for 3 nights.

It's clean and private. It's also good for big family with dogs because the property has got a gate. It's close to beaches and about 30 minutes drive to SNOWDONIA, if you love to walk. This property is also close to shops, pubs and restaurants. You will enjoy your stay at this property. I recommend this property for those who want a private space during their holiday. Just take note, to call the owner for the postcode to find the property.

  • "We enjoyed our stay in Tyddyn, its lovely house with beautiful views."

we appreciated the welcome pack of milk, wine and fruitcake. The garden was perfect, and it was lovely to see the cows and sheep in the fields around the garden. The beds were so comfortable, the house was missing a few personal touches, it could have done with a mat by the back door, specially as we had such wet weather while away and the dogs coming in and out can make the floor quite wet and slippery. There was no airer if you didn't want to use the dryer, and it was wet and cold outside, no hair dryer, the bath towels were quite small. Would highly recommend.

Beds were so comfy and issues we had were delt with immediately. Only negative is the bath, it's great for kids and if you are short but being 5ft8 it was very short and shallow for me :(. Other than that the house is amazing. We had a bottle of red wine and a very tasty fruit cake as a welcome gift, which was a really nice touch. We were are party of 2 adults, 4 boys aged between 7 - 17 years and 2 dogs and the house had plenty of room for us all. Would definitely come back again in the future.

  • "We had a lovely week in Tyddyn."

The listing I think mentions that there are farm animals in the adjacent field - which meant we had to keep our bigger dog out of the garden - as he could easily have jumped the wall. So a great enclosed garden for smaller dogs but not for any dogs interested in bunnies or sheep. The cottage is comfy and well fitted out - I loved the great power shower and comfy mattress and the peace and quiet and the wonderful view. Good apples too on the trees. And a lovely welcome cake and bottle of wine was great after our trek from London.

The garden was great for the young kids to run around, being well set back from the road and gated. The cottage was clean and tidy and we all had a great holiday there. Minor notes for improvement, the sofas are a bit deep/low for the older guests. There are several different instructions sheets for the house, just one would be easier to follow. given the stairs are quite steep a stair gate would be useful for children.

Very easy to feel at home. Exceptionally clean. Excellent garden for the dogs. Only caveat: ensuite shower cubicle is not very big. Freestanding heaters excellent. Perfect location.

Worth mentioning that the internet was almost non-functioning so be sure to have your own 4G if that is important to you. Impossible for that to detract from such a wonderful location and stay.

The beach is a lovely walk away about 30 to 40 minutes depending on your pace, or you can just drive 5 mins to Llanddwywe and take the turning down to the Dyffryn caravan site/ Benar beach where there is a car park for £3 for the day and some free roadside parking, and also public toilets. The beaches run along the whole coastline, so plenty of space, and dogs are allowed. Just a few small things about the property; There was no information on local things to do or directions on how to get to the beach, which would of been helpful. The garden is nice and secure for dogs however if you have a large dog who likes to jump they could jump the back wall, ours did! The curtains in bedroom are not black out or thick enough to block out any light so if you like a lie in you may struggle. It would be great to have a few more dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls, so it might be best to pack a few extra. Overall a great, clean property with amazing views in a fabulous location. There are plenty of amazing walks just a short drive away, and loads of great beaches. We loved our stay in Dyffryn Ardudwy and its surrounding area.
