  • "We had a great week at The Stables."

The property was excellent - loads of space, well equipped - and the owner was friendly and helpful. The location was stunning, and managed the impressive trick of feeling totally remote, while not actually being that far from civilisation. This is definitely on our "must revisit" list.

  • "Could not ask for a better cottage to spend our holiday in, can not speak highly enough of this one."

anything you needed, Greg & Marie would be on call to help. The views from the Cottage are unreal, the pictures do not do them justice, you could spend a good couple of days just walking around the local area, finding the secret lake , and the waterfall, spent a good few evenings walking there. The Cottage itself had everything you need, very spacious and we can not fault it, very clean and organised,

Thank you for your wonderful review Alec, we are so glad you appreciated our wonderful location that we are extremely lucky to call home. hope to see you again sometime in the future. Best wishes Greg & Marie Property Owner

Having spent a thoroughly enjoyable week here, the views are amazing with abundance of wildlife. Lots of places to visit within an hours drive away, and unwinding in the garden with a glass of wine after a day out, just perfect! The cottage catered for all our needs, with most comfortable bed to ensure a good nights sleep. The owners Greg and Marie were very helpful throughout our stay giving recommendations of attractions to visit. They are very friendly without being intrusive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for it's tranquility you will not be disappointed. We hope to return again sometime in the future. Thank you for sharing your lovely accommodation.

  • "Graig Las The Stables."

What a beautiful cottage to stop at with all the amenities you could ever wish for. The view from the stable cottage was spectacular. The walks for those who love nature and own a dog, this cottage is perfectly suited. Most Probably that best holiday cottage my wife and myself and my spaniel have ever stopped at. With a heavy heart we have to return home and can’t wait to visit again . Thank you so so much for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

Thank you so much for such a fantastic review, were so pleased to hear you appreciated the location as much as we do ourselves, and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Best wishes Greg & Marie Property Owner

  • "We had a great week at the Stables, combining contract work locally with a few days tacked on for a break."

It delivered for both. The location is stunning, set in its own little valley full of sheep, with a beautiful river running through it - incredibly peaceful and very green! The track up to the property is probably the best maintained rural driveway I have ever encountered. The house itself is very comfortable and has pretty much everything you could need, with everything working as it should. The beds are really comfortable, there's a wood-burning stove for extra cosiness and the kitchen is fully equipped. The WiFi was excellent. Greg and Marie are friendly and laid-back, careful to give you your own space but also very attentive and helpful when needed. There are plenty of pubs within easy reach, a village shop not far away and lots more a bit further away. We did day trips to Oswestry, Lake Vwrnwy, Pistyll Rhaedr Waterfall, Bala and Welshpool during our stay. Al in all, highly recommended. I have downgraded the accuracy score a bit because I feel the current photos really don't do the house or the surroundings justice!

Thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful review, we look forward to welcoming you and Sid again sometime in the future. Best wishes Greg & Marie Property Owner

  • "First time using Sykes, booking was easy, prices competitive, customer services very responsive and updated with property specific information in the days leading upto trip."

Graig Las The Stables, was clean & tidy and equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Host supplied a small quantity of Tea,Sugar & milk on arrival. Fenced off area for pet to roam. Location is along a single country road (with passing places) and then along a single track. Views are spectacular with a waterfall 30 min intermediate walk away. Plenty of wildlife (red kites, owls)and farm animals to see. Great location to use as a base for visiting Bala, Lake Vyrnwy etc. Will definitely use Sykes again for our next short break and if we do venture to this part of the UK would 100% look to book at Graig Las again

Thanks for your positive review Chris, we would be very happy to welcome you back to Graig-Las if you are ever in this area in the future. Best wishes Greg & Marie Property Owner
