"The cottage is excellent."
It's spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Although the cottage is on a busy road, traffic noise is minimal and not a problem. The location is fabulous with direct access to the road that takes you to all the beautiful places that are within easy reach. Sunsets can be stunning when the sun goes down behind the mountains. We visited Portmerien, which is well worth a visit, and we went to ZIP World and completed the Velocity. It's not for the faint hearted but an incredible experience. Bala, Dolgellau, Fairbourne, and many others are all great. We also visited the Corris craft centre which has some lovely unique craftsmen and women. The cottage is in the middle of the Mach loop, and there's jet fighters flying over at low level throughout the day, which we enjoyed immensely. We plan to return to the cottage early next year.

"This is the second time we stayed at this lovely cottage and we love everything about it."
Very cosy and clean inside, beautiful well looked after garden. Ieuan & Gwyneth are very welcoming and provide everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Welsh cakes, cupcakes and fresh flowers in the kitchen were a nice touch. Fireplace is set and ready to go. We used it every day and run out of wood so the hosts supplied us with more daily for a small fee. There are also books and games for the kids to entertain themselves on a rainy day. It really felt like home away from home for us. We will be back! Thank you so much!!!

"A great cottage!"
we brought along lots of essentials that we didn't actually need as they were already here! (hand soap, fairy, wash pods, clingfilm, foil etc) a very well stocked place to stay. You really only need to bring clothes, shoes and hygiene products - oh and snacks! The welcome tray is great as you can settle in first then hunt for the shop! Loved the shower - just missing something to put your toiletries on. Great to have instant hot water and really toasty heating! I found it very easy to find with the what three words location - being on the main road in this case is a big bonus. We didn't really notice the road noise as we wore ourselves out to notice it! spent most of our time out and about but when we were at the cottage if we were not sleeping we sat in the kitchen/diner watching the lambs leaping and playing. We had a lovely few days here and would highly recommend as a base for visiting around the area. With regards to local attractions such as the deep mine and zip line I would recommend checking their websites and pre booking to avoid a missed opportunity. Also check the terms and conditions with regards to health suitability also. The owners are lovely, really helpful and are only next door if you need anything. This cottage has everything you need for a stay in Wales. So much so you could literally move live there! Blaenau Ffestiniog is just under a 20 min drive away for the mines and zip lines, The Llanberis pass is a great sightseeing opportunity as is the huge local lake at Trawsfyndd All in all for us, our first visit to North Wales - and it was a great experience!

"A very cozy and clean cottage."
Very friendly owners, the cottage has everything you could wish for a stay. A good place to stay and a good location to explore Snowdon National Park. Close to the woods, beautiful tracks and coast . A pitty that it is next to buisy road but nobody can change that. We enjoyed our stay.

"The property is comfortable, clean and well maintainted."
Hosts are lovely, very welcoming and at hand if needed. Welsh cakes with Welsh coffee was a lovely welcome gift. Location is ideal for visiting surrounding area, especially Coed Y Brennin. There are lots of great walks close to the property. There is obvious noise from the main road trafffic but you get used to it quickly.

"Beatiful place to stay"

"The property was beautiful and so clean."
Was lovely to hear the sheep and the cuckoo. Rooms were immaculate and beds very comfy. A lovely spot to go visiting places. Owners were friendly and left us to it. I’d highly recommend staying here.
-
"Stunning location, central location."
Ease of parking outside the property. Beautiful, cosy, spotless cottage. Every facility needed, home from home. Spotless, comfortable beds. We'll stocked with towels, tea towels and bedding. Hosts, but a call away from the replacement of logs for the log burner. Complimentary Welsh coffee, Welsh Cakes, milk and fresh flowers on arrival, an absolutely gem of a find.

"We had another amazing holiday at this wonderful cottage."
It rained all week but the house was always warm and welcoming and a joy to return to everyday after our Welsh mountain adventures. The facilities are second to none, the warmest, cosiest place we've ever stayed - comfy beds, great kitchen and a roaring log burner - the new year never felt so good. The cottage reflects the wonderful hosts, their attention to detail and warm friendliness made this a special trip for us. And we didn't even mention the welcome pack of flowers, mince pies and smooth roast coffee. Bliss. Our kids loved it too.

"One of the best holiday cottages I have ever stayed in!"
! Immaculate and clean with all the facilities you could possibly need. The location was perfect for all the walks I had set out to do…right in between the Rhinogs, Moelwyns and Arenigs with easy access to Porthmadog, Ffestiniog, Bala, Trawsfynydd and Dolgellau close by for any shopping needs. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and ideally live right next door if there are any problems…the cottage was cosy and warm with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. I can’t recommend this property enough. I will definitely be coming back.

"The cottage was comfortable and welcoming and in a beautiful location."
It was atmospheric with stone and slate walls and floors. The owners were friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable holiday, our first since the start of the pandemic so it was special.

"The cottage is lovely."
It is clean, spacious and well equipped. It’s great that there is a shed for your bikes and a little garden for warmer weather. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, including a welcome pack of tea, coffee and treats! Some reviews have commented on the road. This was no issue for us at all. We want to return in the future.
-
"We love this holiday cottage and have been a few times now."
We always get a lovely warm welcome from the owners and a welcome pack on arrival, including fresh coffee, Welsh cakes and a little cookie for our little girl. The cottage always has everything we need and is always clean and tidy ready for our arrival. Its in a great location for exploring surrounding areas with such beautiful scenery all around. I'm sure we will be back again!
-
"The cottage is refurbished to a really high standard and it is close to hills, beaches and fantastic mountain bike trails."
The owners are really lovely and helped us out lots when we had car problems. I will remember their generosity forever and if they are reading this - thanks once again! The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch. The space was ample for our family of 3 having lots of room but was cosy and warmed up easily. We enjoyed a treat, using the open fire on a few nights. It is really well equipped and we used the washing machine a couple of times after being on trails. It was not where the postcode marker says so realised after booking that it is near the main road. With windows shut that was not a problem and it is set back, behind the chapel. In fact migratory birds in the woods behind serenaded us during the week! Despite our car problems we had a lovely week.

"This is a beautiful cottage, comfortable and cosy with amazing mountain views and plenty of good walking nearby."
I would recommend this cottage! However, although I have been using Sykes for many years, I would find it hard now to recommend Sykes because of the huge increase in your prices over the last 2 years.

"Lovely cottage, owners really helpful."
It was on a main road but this was clearly advertised and not a problem for us at all. Great location, close to Coed y Brenin and looking onto the Rhinogs.
-
"Beautifully kept and maintained cottage with great comfort and cleanliness."
Would stay again with no hesitation and would recommend.
-
"Very comfortable cottage with everything needed for a break."
Good position for exploring the area. Beware of traffic travelling very fast and directions for cottage need to be more precise.
-
"A fantastic, clean and well appointed cottage set in beautiful surroundings."
It was the perfect base for us to explore the many different sites across the region including multiple beaches, castles and waterfalls. The owners were really welcoming and helpful enabling us to take full advantage of our time in Wales, we would certainly recommend.

"Lovely and peaceful place"
-
"Beautiful cottage, really well equipped!"
Very homely feel! Lovely log fire! Welcoming owners and lovely touch with welsh cakes on arrival yum! Just perfect!!
-
"The cottage is beautifully presented and so clean and tidy."
It was a perfect base for us to visit our favourite places in North Wales whilst being far enough away from the more touristy areas that we felt secluded and we able to relax. We had our toddler with us and the house was great for her with plenty of space to run around. Having the garden area was lovely too, especially as it felt so private.
-
"Very lovely and positive owners welcomed us with Welsh cakes and coffee which was very nice after 7 hours driving with a little baby."
The cottage itself is lovely too. Perfect for romantic or family holiday. Slightly too close to the main road, but if you are planing to spend most of the time on outdoor activities than it is not such a problem.
-
"Lovely restored cottage, very homely and clean with everything you needed."
Extra touches: a vase of flowers, oat cakes and milk, tea and coffee. Very nice friendly owners, all set in beautiful countryside with lots to do close by. We would love to go back.
-
"We have had a very good holiday at Ty Capel Jeriwsalem."
It was a cosy historical builded cottage from where we could realise all the sight seeings in the area we wanted to do.
-
"What a gem of a cottage in a great location."
Well presented, comfortable and welcoming. The welcome coffee, tea and Welsh cake touches truly appreciated. Separate shower and bathroom also useful and great that linen provided. Owners welcoming yet discreet. Would most definitely return here.
-
"Excellent facilities and located very close to the coed y brenin centre."
Very welcoming owners, all you could ask for in a cottage
-
"Beautiful little cottage, would happily stay here again!"
Warm, comfortable and had everything you could need & want.
-
"The house was beautifully clean and there were some lovely small touches by the owners who lived locally, such as a fire ready to go and food bits in the fridge."
They were so friendly and warm to us. We loved our stay.
-
"This is a beautiful cottage, really warm and cosy and a lovely coversion with all the old features."
We found milk, coffee and Welsh cakes when we arrived, which was a great welcome. The location is perfect for exploring Wales on the mountain bikes. We'll certainly be coming back, thanks!
-
"I always check when booking a holiday all the detail so that the holiday is enjoyed by everyone in our party."
On his occasion, I would say that everything was as described and the accommodation was perfect for our needs. The cottage had all we required and the owners very attentive of guests needs. A very pleasant area to visit. I would recommend a stay in this perfect Welsh cottage.
-
"Great cottage on the A470 but surprisingly quiet."
Lovely place and friendly and welcoming owners.
-
"Good location, friendly welcome by owners, flowers and Welsh cakes waiting."
The cottage was beautifully restored, spotlessly clean and had everything you could want.
-
"Only criticism was the lack of mirrors!"
Only bathroom upstairs and main bedroom.
-
"Perfect location for all the activities we wanted to do."
Only downside was the lack of local places to eat out.
-
"The hosts were very friendly and welcoming."
We had a little trouble locating the cottage as Google Maps took us into the village to an address that was incorrect and Mar& Mrs Tomos stood out the front and waited to hail us down. Despite being on a busy road the cottage was well soundproofed and very cosy. Highly recommended for anyone considering a stay in North Wales/ Snowdonia.
-
"The Cottage was warm and welcoming, as were the owners."
It was clean, tidy and fresh. We were welcomed with coffee, Welsh cakes and fresh flowers. Really lovely touches. Beds were really comfortable with good quality linen. The location is rural enough to feel like you are away from the rat race, but you are in really easy driving distance of loads of great activities for all the family. Yes there is a fairly busy road outside but it's the road you need to get to all the good places so it's good just to be able to get on to your destination straight away. They have a lovely little garden for the cottage so you can sit in the sun and relax. The cottage has a washing machine which was very handy as well as a downstairs loo (also has an upstairs bathroom with toilet, bath etc and a separate shower room). It's really excellent. Mr and Mrs Tomos should be very proud. We couldn't fault it.

"Ty Capel Jeriwsalem was warm and cosy on our arrival, and remained so throughout the week."
The cottage was perfect for us, and I thought the attention to detail in the restoration was very clever. The owners have struck a great balance between offering their guests comfort, yet keeping the character of an old Welsh cottage. It contained everything we might need, with some thoughtful extras and a great selection of books and dvds. An impression was created of the cottage being someone's home, rather than just somewhere available for hire. The owners themselves are a lovely couple, very welcoming and helpful. A very nice hostess tray left out for us with fresh coffee, tea and bara brith, and even an Easter Egg!! Ieaun even helped me with my research. We couldn't have asked for more. We knew we would be staying in a lovely part of Wales, as I had spent several holidays there as a child. However, we had underestimated the dramatic scenery and the friendliness of the locals. I recalled a statement made 17 years ago by a family friend who we took on holiday to this part. Having just come back from a round-the world-trip, he stated 'why on earth did we go all the way to New Zealand when we had this virtually on our doorstep?' And two things this time that we weren't expecting - the weather was more than acceptable for end of March, despite the dreary weather forecasts, and the excellent state of the roads. Not a pothole to be seen, where in England the journey ends up being like a slalom in trying to avoid them. What does Wales get so right, that we can't in England?!!

-
"Superb cottage with lovely welcoming owners, very cosy and well equipped in a fabulous area."
Would stay there again!
-
"Great cottage - very well equipped and homely."
Very convenient location but as it's on a mian road not sure I'd recommend for a summer stay with open windows as traffic noise could be a problem.
-
"The Cottage was perfect, we did not want to leave, the highlight was coming home cold and wet from a hard days mountain biking in the woods to warm up in front of log fire with a bottle of beer!"
-
"We loved the warm welcome from the cottage owners & the freshly home made Welsh cakes went down perfectly with a cuppa on arrival!"
The cottage was warm, cosy & homely & we couldn't have asked for more. All our needs were catered for. The area was lovely with amazing views! It was our 2nd time at this cottage because we love it so much... I'm sure we will return again in the future!
