"This is a little gem of a cottage, everything you need to hand, including a Thai restaurant across the road, I'm sure we will be back sometime in the near future."
-
"A really beautiful house."
So well equipped....we like to cook but rarely find places with the pans & tools to get creative. This house has it all. A lot of thought has gone into every aspect and it was perfectly clean too . The garden is just a nice sized terrace with garden furniture but then the house is plum in the middle of miles of stunning Welsh countryside so all good. Thank you for a very comfortable few days.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. We are also foodies which is why it was so important to us to make sure the kitchen was like home from home. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We hope to host you again in the future. Property Owner

"The heated towel rail, the light and the shaver point inside the bathroom cabinet were not working."
The owners were made aware and were waiting for maintenance. This was the second time we’ve used the property and the first time it was perfect.

"Lovely spacious cottage, perfect stay for 2 couples."
The kitchen had everything we needed and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Would definitely return & recommend.

"An absolutely superb property in every way."
The attention to detail, the well stocked kitchen, the *decent* Internet connection and even a desk with a monitor. We were also amused that there were exactly three flies at all times, despite swatting at least twelve :D
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Bridgend Cottages. We have tried to make it a luxury home from home. We really appreciate your review - thank you. Hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner

"We loved Bridgend Cottage and it was exactly what we needed."
The photos were highly accurate so all was really good. In terms of feedback, the lighting we found really far too bright; an investment in dimmers would be worth its weight in gold! Also of the three wall radiators upstairs only one worked - we called the owner 2x and he talked us through what to do, but unfortunately the heaters didn't stay on. My parents were quite cold most of the time upstairs which was a bit of a shame. Otherwise everything was great and we would certainly stay again (in a warmer season!). Karen & Yann
So glad that you loved our holiday home - we have put our heart and soul into making it as comfortable as possible. We take on board your comments about lighting. We have tried to provide a variety of lighting options (table lamps, wall lights, ceiling pendants and spots). If you can tell us which lights you found too harsh we will look at it. Unfotunately, there was a power cut just before your arrival which seemed to have disrupted the heating settings on the electric radiators. Beacuse each electric radiator is controlled independently, it makes it difficult to reset the heating remotely. We are currently looking at remedying this. We hope the electric log burner provided additional heat. We would love to host you again at sometime in the future. Louise & Andrew x Property Owner

"Excellent property."
Modernised to a high standard. Facilities are brilliant, spacious accommodation, comfy sofas, beautiful bathrooms, the kitchen has everything you may need and loads of crockery & cutlery so you never run out when the dishwashers on. Only negative we could think of was the bifold doors to the patio needs attention after the wet winter and you have to be careful because the chairs can slipped down grill on patio....but very minor points in such a lovely place. There is limited road side parking but loads of parking round the corner if needed. Would have give it all 5 stars but the cleaner left a bottle of milk from previous guest...which had gone off. Windows and patio door could do with a bit of a clean n re paint. But these were small things and did not affect our holiday or our over all opinion of this 5 start accommodation. Thank you would definitely stay again.
Thank you so much for your valued feedback. So glad that you enjoyed staying at Bridgend Cottages. We only bought the cottage in October last year, and have tried to turn it into a luxury home from home retreat for our guests to enjoy. All of your positive comments are very reassuring. Regarding the Bi-Fold doors. The doors are craftsman made from oak, and really needed painting after we bought the property, but unfortunately the weather has been against us so this job is planned in for the spring when we get a few nice dry days. It is definately on our list of jobs to do. I cannot understand how there was out of date milk in the fridge. We use a very professional small local cleaning company who have always gone above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I can only apologise for this, and do hope it did not cause too much inconvenience. Thank you once again for taking the time to leave your review and we hope to welcome you back again to our holiday cottage in the future. Property Owner

"A really lovely house."
Very clean, with every facility you could ask for. Perfectly placed for walking the Elan Valley and the Wye Valley. Both very lovely especially in the sunshine which we were fortunate to get. The parking isn't great, and the bathroom does get very wet when using the shower but very minor points.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us feedback. So glad you enjoyed your stay. The restricted parking sign opposite the house is misleading as it dates back to when the village was on the main road. This parking restriction is no longer relevant or enforced. It would be nice if the council removed the sign. Until then, I will add this to the welcome information so that future guests are aware. It is a really beautiful area - so glad you had lovely weather to enjoy it. Property Owner
