"N ideal spot for visiting the area, with main roads nearby, We were given a parking permit for the long stay car park which is a 5 minute walk away (not to be confused with the short stay which you have to walk through)."
You can park on the next street but only for 2 hours during the daytime. Stairs in the cottage are really steep but there is a bannister, though the toilet is downstairs. Quiet street, even though you're in the town centre. Central heating is super efficient and plenty of storage. Could do with some new pillows as they're a bit flat.

"Very clean and well presented cottage."
Unfortunately the wifi didn’t work after the first day which was a problem as we both required it for work on several occasions.

"We had a great stay in Dolgellau, the cottage was perfect right in the middle of town everything was provided we even had milk in the fridge."
Thanks, we would definitely stay again
-
"The property worked really well for the 2 of us had everything we needed."
The parking in the car park was close by. The cottage was very central so shops and pubs close to hand. The single mattress was a bit uncomfortable and the TV was an issue getting tuned in.

"We really enjoyed our stay and exploring the area."
The cottage location couldn’t be much better for the local amenities and the parking arrangements were convenient considering how close the property was to town. The living area and kitchen were great for our needs and aligned to expectations. The main bedroom was fine with plenty of storage albeit the wardrobe could appreciate a little maintenance. The main bedroom is on the front of the house but very quiet at night albeit a short walk from town. My friend was staying in the second bedroom so can’t really comment on this. The bathroom was functional but could benefit from updating in some areas particularly the sink area. Overall a great few days in a beautiful area and look forward to staying in the region again.

"Fantastic cottage, very clean and cosy."
Neighbours are friendly and the parking permit was great, saved us so much on parking charges.
-
"A very comfortable cottage which appears to have been recently renovated."
A bonus view of Cadair Idris from the living room window.
-
"Lovely cozy little house with everything you need for a holiday"
-
"We enjoyed the stay in this cosy cottage."
In summer a place to be outside would be nice. But we didn't miss it in April. Viola and Bernhard

"Beautiful little home from home, everything we needed for a relaxing week away in a beautiful part of the country."
We will definitely return!
-
"We really enjoyed our stay here."
The cottage is lovely. The area is fantastic. The parking situation could be a little hairy if you have a larger car. Parking in Dolgellau can be feisty. The bathroom would benefit from some updating. On the whole well worth a visit. We would come back. Thank you Debra and Mr Debra.
-
"Great cottage and about the 4th time we've stayed, Everything you could need for a base camp to explore the local area and further afield with the parking permit provided."
The only small qualm we had is that the mattress good do with updating in the main bedroom but no biggy. Debra is a great host and even decorated the cottage ready for Xmas, would definitely stay again.
-
"Absolutely lovely cottage with everything you could need."
Debra was great with giving us all the information we needed and checking we were ok after we had arrived. We will be back very soon!
-
"We were expecting great things from Dolgellau based on previous reviews."
However a lot of shops were closed, there was no market and only 1 coffee shop suitable to take our dog. The cottage had everything we needed. It was very dark though and decor quite tired. The bathroom in particular (downstairs and stairs VERY steep) could do with a refurb. Weather was awful and we ended up leaving early. Not our greatest Sykes holiday!

"Lovely cottage and town"
-
"Lovely cottage, ideal for my needs for a walking holiday."
Good bus links to Barmouth,Bala, Machynlleth, Aberystwyth and Porthmadog. Would definitely use again if I was holidaying in the area. The owner, Debra, very helpful and kind.
-
"Fantastic location only 2 mins to town centre , bathroom could do with a update but that"s being picky !"
-
"This small cottage was exactly as described online."
It had everything we expected. Dolgellau is a lovely little town and the surrounding areas are great for sightseeing and exploring.
-
"Lovely relaxing stay, heating could have been on a bit longer given the time of year, but we understand about costs."
We found everyone friendly and welcoming in this pretty market town and would recommend this property as it's good value in a central spot to visit North Wales.
-
"Great property for small family, cosy and very comfortable."
Really close to all amenities. Beautiful scenery close by, all within around 20min drive. I would recommend it to anyone who loves quiet, relaxing holidays with lots of walks and close to nature.
-
"Excellent value for money."
Lovely lady owner who was very kind and helpful. Wonderful shower-very powerful and hot. The owner is probably making a loss at the incredible price-the outgoings and general costs of running a business like this will be far greater than the price we were charged for a week's stay-agents fees/house insurances/rates/wifi/fuel bills etc etc. Would return again. Dolgellau is a great little town.

"We've been to this property several times now and it never disappoints!"
Absolutely love arriving after several hours on the road to find milk, tea, coffee and bara brith awaiting us.
-
"A lovely little cottage, comfy & warm with all you need."
Dolgellau is a lovely small town with cafes & shops, even an old fashoined hard ware shop & Roberts coffee shop is something to be experienced. Lots to do, wonderful scenery nearby.
-
"The cottage was lovely and clean and well equipped."
It was in a very good location for exploring all areas of Southern Snowdonia. We would definitely stay there again. There is very limited on-street parking but a car park permit was supplied for the main long stay car park which could be used in a number of other car parks.
-
"A lovely, clean, cosy cottage."
Very convenient for the town facilities but still quiet. Parking difficult immediately outside cottage on narrow street but can drop off and park about 8 mins walk away in car park (parking permit provided)
-
"We had a problem with the TV but following a call to the owner this was sorted immediately."
We had a lovely time staying in this sweet little cottage which had everything we needed. It was not possible to park near the cottage but there was a long stay car park nearby with a permit which worked perfectly. This permit could also be used in many more car parks so we saved on lots of parking fees.
-
"The cottage was cosy & well equipped & just a couple minutes walk from the town centre."
Parking was provided at the local car-park by way of a parking permit, which also allowed us to use the car parks in other towns in the county (very handy!) The shower room was,er, different but we soon got the hang of it. All in all a handy base for exploring the local area and the mountain views were amazing. Oh, and the barra brith on arrival was delicious! Would like to stay again in the future

"A lovely little cottage, spotlessly clean, would be happy to return"
-
"Access to the cottage by car is not advised as residents need the space therefore its quite a hike to the rugby club which is the long stay carpark but you are given a pass to park so its free."
Cottage is welcoming, warm and has a well equipped kitchen. Many enjoyable places to visit and beautiful views.
-
"We had a great stay, such a nice little cottage with everything you need."
Lots of areas to explore close by or within an hours drive. Owner was very nice and called me a few days to get there on how to get the key to get in and parking etc.
-
"Really cosy little place, very clean, would stay here again, only problem is the parking, it was almost impossible to park nearby, even just to unload the car."
-
"We had a great holiday the cottage was great the area was fantastic overall we had a fantastic holiday."
-
"Lovely cottage, fairly central and very friendly neighbours."
Would definitely stay here again.
-
"Great location and clean."
I would highly recommend.
-
"A wonderful holiday home in a wonderful location."
A great place to access the glorious Snowdonia mountains and the wonderful northern coast. Adored our time here and only wish we could return week after week. Clean, with all the amenities you could wish for. Warm and comfortable. Locals very welcoming, bakery fabulous and fish and chip shop very tasty. Even the gift shops kept us entertained. And of course, the views surround the village ensure you are forever blown away by this very special part of Wales. Finally scored 10/10 for our dog, Arnie. Comfy curl-ups, warm nights and lots of squirrels to get excited about on our walks.
-
"The bed a little low and stairs steep for a disabled person."
No garden for the dog but everything else was really nice. The area was lovely too
-
"A lovely week of walks, wine and whisky!"
Love the cottage ... warm and cosy. Walks straight from the door and the town has great places to eat and drink. The host is very attentive. I will be back!
-
"Nice cottage in good location."
Ground floor was cold when 1 degree outside, thermostat was capped at 21 degrees.
-
"This cottage is extremely well equipped and in an ideal location, close to all amenities, however it accepts one dog but alas has NO outside secure area at all, therefore if you have to take your dog out in the middle of the night it means you have to get fully dressed and walk the street."
I couldn't relax at all and feel that this cottage should state that there is NO facility to allow your dog out, very misleading and as it rained nearly all week even more reason to come home early. DISAPPOINTED.
-
"Cae Tanws Bach is a lovely comfortable cottage which is adequately equipped."
We spent an enjoyable week there. The surrounding area is stunning with excellent walking ..... but most of all the local people are absolutely delightful!!
-
"Amazing cottage in an amazing location ."
The local town is on your door step with some amazing pubs , we loved eating at the royal ship and sitting outside enjoying the sunshine . A great central location to discover other local towns , Bamforth , Porthmadog , Bala .
-
"Great location in the town."
Cottage owner very welcoming. Lovely personal touch, welcome note on arrival. Good advice on parking and parking permit available
-
"The accommodations were simply amazing."
Absolutely loved the little gifts the owner left for us including having the place decorated for the holidays. Enjoyed our stay so much that we hated having to pack after 2 weeks to go back home. Have stayed in Dolgellau before and really appreciated having a pass to park our vehicle at the long-term car park.
-
"Beautiful location and cottage, both perfect for our needs."
View from the front window was amazing! Cottage had a very homey feel and we wouldn’t fault a thing. Location was ideal with shops within walking distance. Parking was limited so the parking permit provided was perfect. Overall rice was very reasonable, and our dog was welcomed, which was perfect for us. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday! p

"The cottage is in a terrific location, right in the main bit of Dolgellau."
There is a super restaurant, 'Y Sospan', a short walk away. The cottage is compact and easy to manage. The cottage owner provided a parking permit which we were able to use at some other locations too (but do check on the sheet provided as some are pay-and-display). The large car park on the entrance road to Dolgellau is pay-and-display, but the residents' parking area is BEHIND that car park (carry on down the narrow road) in front of the town's rugby club. This is a much better the trying to park outside the cottage (and it is only a couple of minutes' walk). We were very pleased with our stay.

The cottage was ideal clean homely and a fair price , only down side , the owner/ caretaker never once contacted us to check things were ok , and she only lived 5 mins away , other than that a perfect holiday , Thank you

"Unlike the weather, this was a very warm cottage that was clean and comfortable."
There is plenty to see and do near by especially if you enjoy walking and cycling like us. If your an indoor person or do not like travelling about much then the area would be limited on what it has it has to offer especially during bad weather.
