• "Lovely warm and cosy cottage with fantastic views."

  Very comfortable single beds, a home from home, with all your essential needs. Friendly owner who checked everything was okay with our stay. A good base for exploring the beautiful countryside, lots to see and do, and within easy reach of Aberystwyth with all it's amenities. A very enjoyable stay.

  yes the views were incredible and the shower was lovely. There were no saggy mattresses at Llwynon, all 6 of us including Bella the dog had the best sleeps. Loved the furniture, the crockery was well loved had been in other peoples hands which I think is very special and we enjoyed meals using the lovely glasses and that lovely big pot and tiny coffee cups in that lovely sideboard. My husband was well able to use the washing machine ( he reports that the one at home is too complicated) and there was one of those lovely washing lines that you see in films blowing in the wind. The weather was superb, the lady of the house Kathy is lovely and her dear parents house is full of warmth and love. Yes of course to recommend but not for next July as we want to return.

• "The view is stunning."

  The shower was very good. The cottage needs re decorating throughout. The double bed needs a new mattress as it sags in the middle. The chairs were the worst part and are far too low and extremely uncomfortable. They are also quite dirty/stained/fraying at corners and need replacing urgently. A lot of the crockery had chips in it. The washing machine appears to have a 12 hour delay on it. As there is no clothes airer or tumble dryer, washing has to be done when the weather is good so it can go out on the line in the morning and a delay on starting limits this use so please deactivate this feature. Despite this the owner was very friendly and we made the best of it and enjoyed revisiting the area, but won’t recommend the cottage.

  Thank you for your feedback for Llwynon, it is indeed situated in a gorgeous area. I am sorry you found the living room chairs too low and uncomfortable. My hope is that the photographs give a good indication of what you can expect should you choose to book, but I do realise seating preference is a very personal thing. The same is true of your comments about the double bed with other visitors commenting on how comfortable it is. I have a cycle of redecoration for the bungalow with rooms being attended to on an annual basis. As part of that cycle in January this year the twin bedroom was redecorated totally and was also furnished with new carpet and new beds. I am therefore saddened and somewhat puzzled that in your opinion the whole bungalow is in need of re-decoration. Any chipped crockery will be replaced, thank you for bringing it to my attention. Many modern washing machines have a delay button, you can just press it again to remove the delay. I contact all my visitors before they come to stay to ensure that they have my contact number. This is so if during their stay they need information or encounter a technical situation such as this I can be of help. Living just five minutes away had I known of the problem with the washing machine, I would have been very happy to come over immediately and rectify the situation. I am truly sorry you wouldn’t recommend Llwynon, but very glad to hear that you had a lovely time & enjoyed your stay." Property Owner

• "Lovely bungalow set in beautiful surroundings."

  Watching Red Kites flying overhead while eating breakfast/supper was amazing. The view from property across the valley are amazing. The bungalow is comfortable and clean. Yes it could do with updating but it adds to the charm of the place. Shower was decent and it’s got WiFi and the beds were comfortable. The only problem (if we were being picky) is the windows could do with a clean and there was no welcome pack so bring milk (although the shops are not far away) would definitely go back. Great place for dogs and kids too. Garden is huge and secure.Thanks Kathy.

  Thanks for your feedback. I hesitated to provide milk because people have strong personal preferences as to their liking for skimmed, semi or full cream milk, but following your comment there is now always full cream milk in the fridge on arrival! The windows have been cleaned - it was finding a "window of opportunity" (excuse the pun) when it wasn't pouring with rain and blowing a gale on change over day to clean them that was the problem!! So glad you enjoyed your stay and do hope you will visit again. Property Owner

• "Lovely location and very welcoming hosts."

  Will be staying again! Not rated it 5 star as the property needs some updating. However the pictures are accurate and the house is clean so no nasty surprises. Could not fault the location

• "Beautiful location."

  Away from the main road. Down in the valley surrounded by wildlife. Nicely laid out, clean and covered all our needs. The 2 greyhounds and the 2 parrots settled well. One of our greyhounds wanted to go back in when we were leaving. He didn't want to go home. Highly recommended.

• "The bungalow was lovely, very clean and comfortable and with all you need."

  It was in such a peaceful village with outstanding views. A real get away from it all place with beautiful garden watching the birds. We walked round the village every night, so lovely. Not far to travel to the coast and just up the road to the kite centre with lovely cafe. Well recommend this place and would def visit again

• "We spent a very pleasant week at Llwynnon."

  Located in a green and peaceful valley, the view from the garden is lush with plenty of bird life. Pub within walking distance and an easy drive to the coast at Borth or elsewhere, this place was great for us!

• "It is quite difficult to put into words the impact of this holiday."

  It was breathtaking from start to finish. The cottage is set in the most beautiful, peaceful surroundings, 360 degree views, with a daily show from the Red Kites and the gentle bleat from the local sheep & lambs. The cottage immediately fills you with the warmth of home and is equipped with everything you will need. It was lovely to meet the owner Kathy who was extremely warm and friendly and checked up to ensure that we had everything we needed. It was everything we could have asked for. You don't have to drive far to still get further away from it all, to local reservoirs, beaches and to visit local attractions like the Devil's bridge and Bwlch Nant Yr Arian. You can even walk out into the hills straight from the door step. It's just peace and quiet everywhere and luckily we were blessed with wall to wall sunshine. Fantastic!

• "Lovely bungalow well equipped and clean in a stunning location."

  Good size secure garden for our dog to play in. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking and visiting the surrounding areas. Our host also was very helpful we will certainly be going back.
