"Ynys is a fantastic cottage, in an amazing location."
We stayed for a week in September 2024, the cottage was very clean, and had everything we needed, including a gift of a box of biscuits, which went down very well after our 6 hour drive. The communication from the owner was clear and friendly. We will definitely be going back!

"Just returned from the most wonderful week staying at Ynys."
The cottage is perfect for our family of 4 with everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable and the location is idyllic, so peaceful with fabulous views. The games room is great for older kids (and adults!). A well resourced kitchen and quality furnishings along with great outdoor space. We watched the sunset from just outside the cottage which was so lovely. Great for our dog too! Have been staying in and around Barmouth for over 20 years, but this has been the best cottage we have found yet. Owners easily contactable, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee on arrival were a lovely touch too. Already booked to return next year.

"Great place to stay - really convenient for Barmouth, Harlech, Eryri/Snowdonia national park."
Quiet and accessed via private lane. Although the garden is not entirely enclosed there is a fence around it, our dog is small and could have walked under it, we stayed with her and she had plenty of space. We've stayed in multiple places over the years, this is one of the very best. Helpful and accessible owners who live on the same site, fast broadband with Smart TV. Although a washing machine isn't included in the details there are two in the laundry room. The cottage is clearly managed in a thoughtful and professional way. Complete absence of those small things that can irritate (slow draining showers, no handle for the grill pan, tin openers that don't work). Highly recommend Yns for a great holiday.
Thank you for your feedback. The handle for the grill pan is kept in the drawer with the cutlery. I will try and remember to leave it with the grill pan. Tin opener has been replaced, thank you for pointing that out. We have had a look at the shower, hopefully the issue has now been resolved. Glad you had an enjoyable stay. Property Owner

"Lovely property at the bottom of a private road very quiet and exceptionally clean any problems owners at the end of the phone."
Strangely enough the only thing we missed was a teapot. Plenty of places to visit from the location of the property. Due to the stairs in the property it would probably not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

"We spent a wonderful week at Ynys."
The location is lovely and quiet (tucked down a private road away from the main road) with excellent views of mountains and sand dunes. The cottage is clean and cosy and is very well equipped - there is everything you need for a happy and comfortable stay. Washing machines, tumble drier, pool table and air hockey are all available. The sunny garden is well kept and enclosed with a fence and gate -excellent for children and dogs. Great communication with helpful owners. We would thoroughly recommend.

"Second time I’ve stayed here."
Lovely quiet location on edge of village. Hosts just a call away if you have any problems. I’d recommend this cottage.

"Thank you for a fabulous stay."
The cottage was clean and comfy and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect location for all we wanted to do. We loved how peaceful it was and the wildlife. We even saw the Northern lights on our last night!! We had never been to this area of Wales before - I'm sure we will be back Thank you again

Cottage clean, tidy and well equipped. Bed really comfy. Quiet rural location but within easy walking distance to local shops. Friendly hosts, on hand if you have any problems. Beaches, cafes and pubs just a short drive away. Would recommend and stay again.

"We had a really nice time at Ynys."
It’s a lovely cottage and we arrived to find it clean and tidy with cake, tea, coffee, and milk waiting for us! The games room and play area was ideal for the children and kept them entertained along with the all-important Wi-Fi connection. The location meant we could easily get to everywhere we wanted, with beautiful beaches less than 10 minutes away. However, simply sitting in the garden enjoying the peace and quiet in the late afternoon sunshine had to be one of our favourite activities, and we’re already thinking about staying again next year.

"We were not aware that there was no downstairs toilet but did discover a downstairs toilet in the laundry room ,nearby ,outside."
The garden did not have a gate which would have been useful with toddler and dog but otherwise we were quite satisfied The owner came to fit a stair gate and this was appreciated .

"Ynys is a lovely holiday cottage."
Everything we needed for a cosy, comfortable stay was provided as well as quality biscuits, tea, coffee and milk to welcome us on arrival. The cottage is near the end of a country lane and we loved getting away from it all. The surrounding countryside and beaches are very beautiful and we plan to revisit.
