  • "We would like to thank Mark and Sarah for a lovely stay in Rowan cottage, we were made very welcome when we arrived."

They were very informative about where to visit and where was good to eat and despite the weather not being great and we weren't feeling well we had a wonderful holiday. The cottage had everything we needed, we wanted for nothing. The piece and quite was amazing and for someone who suffers from insomnia I had some of the best night sleeps in ages. Once again thank you Mark and Sarah for a wonderful holiday. Very kind regards from Brian and Ann. P.S. For future people staying at Rowan cottage buy some cat food and feed the hedgehogs.

  • "Thank you, Sarah and Mark, for making us feel so welcomed!"

Rowan Cottage is a real gem, and we are looking forward to coming back to it in the future. Everything we needed was available , the cottage was spotless, the conservatory was used for every meal, the views were stunning, and nature was literally on the doorstep. We enjoyed some great walks, either starting from the cottage (Stapeley Hill and Mitchell's Fold Stone Circle is recommended) or a short drive away (can't miss the Stiperstones and a visit to the Bog Visitor Centre). A visit to Shrewsbury was also a nice day out, and we were impressed with the Museum & Art Gallery. And every time returning to the cottage to have dinner looking at the swift coming back for the night was such a pleasure. We would highly recommend it and did not want to leave!

  • "A lovely cottage with fantastic views of the Stiperstones."

Everything was well presented and clean. The conservatory was used for most meals, we even ate in the garden once. The cupboard of kids' toys was fantastic, especially the mini table football, our son became quite good over the week. I would recommend it to any couples with small kids.

It's comfy, got everything you need and has great views - particularly from the conservatory! Mark and Sarah, the owners, are friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to go again.

  • "Lovely cottage, well maintained."

Mark was very friendly and on hand for any problems. We do think that it should have been stated that the cottage is attached to the owners house, as we like to have our own private space outside to sit and relax. Having said that, it didn’t spoil our break and a lovely area to visit if you enjoy peace and tranquility. Would recommend

Thank you for the feedback, sorry you didn't feel the rear garden was private. We wish you had voiced your concern so we could have reassured you of your full privacy. The holiday let has a good size garden with bench and an additional large garden for football next to the driveway. We are conscious to guests privacy and draw any blinds to that side of the house during your stay giving you undisturbed peace. Sorry we didn't convey that to you. Best Wishes Mark and Sarah Property Owner

  • "The cottage is in an idyllic location with wonderful views of the garden, the rolling hills and the Stiperstones."

So peaceful with only the sounds of nature. Throughly enjoyed sitting in the conservatory listening to and watching all the birds. The cottage is immaculately clean and very well equipped and maintained. The owners greeted us on arrival and were very welcoming and friendly. The king size bed was super comfy and we slept really well. The area is a beautiful area to explore, particularly suited to people who love the outdoors and nature. I would highly recommend this cottage. We’ve had a lovely break and didn’t want to leave!

Made a change to wake up to the sound of the morning bird chorus and the sheep joined in. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Stunning views. We would definitely stay at the cottage again.

  • "Nice warm welcome from Sarah upon arrival."

Property was spotless and welcoming. Its clear that alot of care and attention has been taken to ensure guests feel at home. Kitchen was well equipped (my only suggestion would be a teapot). Bed was comfortable and spacious, we slept very well. Happy to lend me a hairdryer when mine conked. -Very much appreciated. Lounge comfortable and good selection of channels and DVDs to suit an eclectic taste. Families with young children should be reassured to know there are facilities available with young children in mind as well as safety features which I have never noticed in my extensive rentals through sykes. Plenty of good walking opportunities, powys and attingham worth a visit for national trust members. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
