  • "We enjoyed our stay at the cottage."

The welcome pack was a lovely surprise, as was the supply of tea coffee and sugar. The cottage was comfortable and being all on one level was just what we needed.the cottage is well equipped with everything we needed for a self catering holiday. We hope at sometime to come again. Thank you

Hi Kenneth, Thank you for your positive feedback, I'm glad you had a good stay and enjoyed the complimentary welcome pack. We look forward to welcoming you back to Woodlands in the future. Best Wishes Chris Property Owner

Lovely stay I didn’t realise that the garden wasn’t secure for my dog otherwise everything was fine with the property

Hi Rita, Many thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you had a good stay and I am sorry that the garden was an issue for your dog. I will request that Sykes amend our property description to make clear that the garden is unsecured. Best Wishes Chris Property Owner

  • "The cottage is lovely."

Very clean. Pleased to see both pillow and mattress protectors. Milk eggs and Welsh cakes a lovely touch. Unable to connect to WiFi my iPhone did not detect the name of the WiFi and so more info needed. Shower head had to be practically vertical as too heavy for the arm also hard to regulate the temperature. Plug hole needs attention and sealant replacing. I used oven to heat through some cooked chicken and when I opened to check it the smoke alarm went off. Due to burnt on residue on roof of oven smoking. Positive at least the alarm works. It would be nice if there was an option to play music… I tried on my phone but due to signal not overly successful.. something like an Alexa. Maybe a wifi booster in the cottage? These are small easily fixed “ niggles”. Assuming theses done I would stay again.

Hi Cheryl, Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased you liked the cottage and the welcome pack along with the overall cleanliness of the property. Apologies for the issue with the Wi-Fi. It is useful if guests can let us know if they are having any issues during their stay. Sometimes the system needs a reboot in reception and then you are good to go. That said we will invest in a booster to improve the connection. We will take a look at the points you raise in the bathroom and put right what we find. I have raised the cooker issue with our cleaning team. We take cleanliness in our cottages very seriously and our very proud of our near 100% satisfaction rate on Sykes. Apologies for the issues you experienced during your stay. Thanks again for your feedback, we look forward to welcoming you to Woodlands again in the future. • "Second visit for us ,we had a fabulous time, small cottage but has everything you need lovely and clean ."

Nice sitting out area at the front beautiful backdrop . Owners were so thoughtful left us fresh eggs ,milk Welsh Cakes for us arriving. Also our dogs were welcome which is a huge bonus for us . Bedroom is small so make sure you are fit enough to climb up from the bottom of the bed as it can only be accessed from one side . This site is gorgeous quiet and beautifully kept . This cottage is an absolute favourite of ours along with the beautiful beach . We will return I am sure many times .

Thank you for your feedback Elizabeth, we look forward to welcoming you back to Woodlands soon. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park Property Owner

  • "We never realised the cottage was situated in a caravan park."

At no stage was this mentioned in the details of the property which is misleading. The double bed was in a bedroom so small that it could be accessed from one side only - not a comfortable option for senior citizens.

Hi Andrew, Thank you for your feedback. My apologies if you felt misled by the advert, we did not think that the cottage being located on a caravan park would be considered a reason not to book. However we have requested that Sykes amend their listing to make it clear that Tan Isa is located on a caravan park. I'm sorry to hear that your wife had difficulty navigating the bedroom. Just to clarify, the bedroom in Tan Isa has been used as a double room throughout our ownership (14 years). I will be the first to admit that it is a small room but the dimensions of the room do not inhibit access to the bed. However, I have requested that Sykes update their write-up to highlight the position of the bed. Thank you again for your visit, we hope to welcome you back to Woodlands in the future. • "The property is good, although a little small."

One of you has to climb into the bed and cannot get out without the other moving. However, the property is in a good position in Harlech and good access to the glorious beach. Good access to trains providing connections to many coastal places. One problem we found was lack of close places to eat, especially during the evening.

Hi Peter, Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the convenient location of the cottage to the beach, town and the train services. You are correct the bedroom is on the small side, I'm sorry that you experienced difficulties. I have requested that Sykes update their write-up to highlight the position of the bed. Thank you again for your visit, we hope to welcome you back to Woodlands in the future. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park, Harlech Property Owner

  • "As per our email,we expect some financial refund on what we paid."

No internet, had to travel to Barmouth x4 times a day to access.Cannot cook, advertised as self careting, heat sensor/smoke alarm kept going off,no extractor fan.So additional expense,fuel/paying fpr take aways, food taken/put in the bin.

Hi Carol, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience you faced during your stay. It must have been frustrating for you to not have access to the internet and having to travel to Barmouth multiple times a day to access it. Upon arrival, you reported that you were struggling to access the Wi-Fi. I sent you another access code and asked if you could let me know if there were any further issues. However, I received no reply. I assure you that I would have taken action immediately if you had let me know of the persistent WiFi issue. I am also sorry to hear that you found it inconvenient not to have an extractor while cooking. We do not advertise one, but there is a window to the immediate right of the hob and the outside door immediately to the left which is normally sufficient for all of our guests. I apologize if the fire alarm went off during your stay. We live 50ft away from the property and did not hear anything. Otherwise, we would have immediately come over and checked that everything was OK. Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the comfort and cleanliness of the cottage. Kirsty and her team work very hard to ensure our cottages are clean and well presented. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park, Harlech Property Owner

  • "This property was good value for money, small but with everything we as a couple with dog needed."

We were there in March, when the park was very quiet, so can't comment on peak season. Access to Harlech and the castle was excellent, a short walk up the 'world's steepest street' (less steep alternative available), with the beach and a good shop equally convenient.

Hi Marian, Thank you for your feedback. Woodlands is a small site of only 32 owner occupied static caravans and 3 holiday cottages, as we have no facilities (play area, bar etc...) the park is always peaceful and never feels too busy. Thank you again for your booking, hopefully we will welcome you back to Woodlands in the future. Best Wishes Chris Woodlands Caravan Park, Harlech Property Owner

  • "We were not told the Cottage was on a Caravan site & it was not mentioned it was on a Caravan site in the advert, with regards to the pictures there was Caravans in the background but it did not say anywhere that the Cottage was on the site, all it said it was a lovely Cottage in a beautiful Town."

The Cottage was very clean but to put a single bedroom with a double bed in it was a health hazard as there was only inches around the bed hence when my wife went around the bottom of the bed she caught the inside of her leg twice going to the toilet causing 2 bruises on the which is just clearing up after 2 weeks, the owners of the Cottage is very lucky we did not take photo's and claim compensation. the bottom line is if it said the Cottage was situated on a Caravan park we would have never booked. the only think was that The Cottage was very clean.
